"What do you mean? Tell me more"

Sung-Yoon smiled, thought he looked so interested and then said,

"She said, there are benefits of being a hunter"

"Benefits? Like?"

"Like getting immense power to touch things, show yourself to any human who can't see you, even if you have a special one or not. With this power, you can cross all limits without worrying about the consequences (Becoming invincible). However, you must know, this power must be used only to do good deeds"

Okay, that was a lot to take in but he was doing his best, processing this information.

"She also said if the good ghost desires to stay in this world even though it is their time to cross over, they will get the privilege to stay for as long as they want. Until they're ready to crossover to the other side"

Now that was good news! Great news!!

"You can only get the benefits if you've sent a maximum of twenty evil souls onwards" she said, not sure if she was right but she kept that to herself.

"How do you do that? How can you send evil ghosts to the afterlife?"

Being as evil as they were, it won't be easy fighting them. There had to be a trick....

"Well, she said" his thoughts were interrupted and he exited, giving Sung-Yoon his attention. "It will be clear when you decide to be a hunter of evil ghosts and when you meet one"

Seriously? That was it?

"I'm confuse Sung-Yoon"

"So am I. I didn't get it either when she told me"

Well, then again, it won't be that hard and confusing to understand when he does become a hunter and encounter one.

Come to think of it.......

"Why can't we just wait until it's their time to crossover? Won't it be the easiest way to get rid of these evil ghosts?"

"Remember the reasons I told you about? They just don't want to leave, and with the powers they've gained through evil, they now fight their fate. it would be almost impossible to defeat them. Unless they're facing a hunter"

"The more humans fear them and live in the pain caused by them, the stronger they get"

"That's where they get their power. Through pain, grief, hatred and fear. Most evil ghosts don't just do it for power but also out of jealousy, envy and vengeance. Of course, there are others who also do it for fun. Evil to the core even after death"

This wasn't surprising. They were once humans.

"I've made my decision" Hae Jin said and Sung-Yoon looked at him, "I want to be a hunter of evil ghosts" he said with a smile.

It wasn't going to be easy, he knew, but he wanted all the benefits. The privileges. He wanted this immense power but he also didn't know what for.

He believed only time would tell.

"That's great my love!" Sung-Yoon said sarcastically, rolling her eyes.

"But first, find a way to get out of this hellhole. I want to leave as soon as possible but I can't because you're here"

"Are you calling me a burden? The reason you can't have your freedom to leave?" Hae Jin said annoyingly. He wasn't holding her back from leaving. Sure, it wouldn't be in his best interest if she did leave but that didn't mean he was holding up her freedom.

"I never said that. I just don't want to leave without you. You see Hae Jin, I've come to care about you. And I don't like the situation you're in" she said calmly, sounding serious.

She meant what she said, Hae Jin could see. But he still felt bad knowing he was the reason why Sung-Yoon stayed even though she didn't want to.

He was a burden, wasn't he?
