Chapter 7: 7. survive

The words vanished and my hand turned black, Iike a void, I could feel something coming into me.

[..Absorbing concealing energy...]

..10%..

My veins bulged, as my grip on the handle of the door locked in place.

I could let go, the pain oy got worse, but it felt like some was coming into me through my veins.

[...20%...]

My hand began shimmering, it reflected, like a void,as the area around the door handle swirled.

Obviously someone had placed some of concealing energy to the whole house immediately they thought all the maids had evacuated.

I looked at the new messages, my body felt a bit lighter and my mind sharper.

"I wasn't able to keep up with her before, but maybe I can now.."

I turned to the cabinet to the robed woman, caressing a rainbow daggers in her hands.

'Oh' she chuckled, placing her fingers on her lips with a seductive smile.

'Sigh... Hear we go again'

I stood facing her with a smug smile on my face.

Her brow raised.

"Your not surprised to see me..? " she furrowed her brows through the hood.

I shrugged.

"A bit hard to get surprised when you see an insignificant insect" I spoke.

I had to get her her angry so she'd actually drop her guard when attack me.

Maybe.

Just maybe I'll have a chance.

My place seemed to have worked as her rosy lips curved into a frown, her eyes was covereed by the hood but I could feel a bit of bloodlust.

"What did you say.."

"I said you are an insignificant insect, and filthy wrench, a failed experiment, a parasite.."

As I continued, the girl just froze in place looking at me with bewildered eyes.

"I think that all the insults.." I sighed.

In the past she would disappeared and appear at my back to slash me but this wasn't the case.

'i guess the future changes too'.

-stab-

' guess not '

"Arghhh" blood flew out of my mouth.

I thought I would be able to see her but this time she moved even faster, showing she was holding back the mast time, the knights would be killed by. The assassins by now there was no way I would have survived.

'I can't kill her, she's better than me, faster, stonger I just can't compete with her..'

I collapsed on the cold tiles again.

Bleeding out until my vison faded into the blackness.

'I guess this is it..'

[Player has died..]

[Simulation ended]

[Player had 99 life points, would you like to use 1?]

The screen in front of me popped up.

This confirmed my suspicion, the notifications were going to popup as long as those life points were available.

'yes..'

The scene warpped back to the trophy room.

I sighed.

'This is going to be harder than I thought'.

I couldn't alert that guards, I can't reach out to the prince, I am entirely on my own.

My mind wondered to other possibilities.

The thought of fighting them singlehandedly was terrifying, but somehow I have to find a solution.

I waited till night fell standing in the corridors directly facing the guards that were as stiff as statues.

I placed my hand on the wall, not long later a system screen popped up.

[This energy has already been absorb]

I stared at the notification disappointed, if I could endless absorb the energy, I'd be a force to be reckoned with by the 20th life, but that plan was out of the window.

[Bloodlust detected]

My guard shot up, I frantically looked around I'd I could catch a flimps of the red intruder.

* Boom *

I thought the knight only moved when someone was about to breach the doors but I was wrong.

The two knight exploded with movementas they both went for a seemingly harmless spot on one of the paintings.

Clang *

Sparks flew as a red robed assassin's jumped out of nowhere.

" Huh I guess so you sky ranks aren't so bad after all" A chuckle escaped the figures mouth as I stared by the end of the corridor.

The two knights got into a stance, and the the red intruder wielded a long dagger.

I mere seconds the corridor was filled with sounds, walls tearing apart, glass breaking, and the sound of metal scraping against metal.

I could only see black and red silhouette flashed across the walls and the ceiling.

I had no idea who was winning.

"Isn't my big brother great"

'i figured she'd show up'

The female assassin placed her hand on my shoulder, watching the fight behind me.

"Yeah that's right..?" I showed no fear, just calm gazes and relaxed body language.

[Player has died...]

'what..'
