Kai stood before a monument made of memory and fire.

Inside it—himself.

But younger.

> "What if," the mirror said, "you stop rewriting?"

> "What if you rest?"

Kai raised the Codex.

> "Then the flame dies."

The mirror smiled sadly.

> "So be it."

And it cracked.

Kai walked through himself—again.

And the world blinked.
