I changed my Discord nickname to match Zenoris—‘ImSoSleepy’—and joined the voice channel. Looking at the user list, everyone else had matching game nicknames too.

Keeps it simple for everyone. But seriously, why couldn’t he explain that calmly? Drama queen.

Everyone was already in the voice channel. I adjusted my headset mic and clicked into the ‘Raid’ voice chat.
Last time I Discorded with Yoo Chae, it was just the two of us, awkward as hell. Group call like this though? No big deal.
“Oh, they’re here.”

“Sleepy-hyung, welcome.”
“Nice to meet you.”

“Hello~!”
The icons blinked one by one as voices chimed in—Haerun, MeLostInHunt, ParkSeungjin, DrinkWaterPlz, and DoraHee. The first three were dudes, DoraHee was a woman.
I already knew DrinkWater was a woman from when I first joined. But the newbie’s a girl too? Yeah, guessing gender off avatars is a lost cause.

“Hyung! You’re here!”
Last came the overly familiar voice I’d heard before—Yoo Chae.
Why’s he so hyped just because I joined? Adjusting my mic, I muttered:

“Hey.”
“Whoa, Guildmaster’s actually on mic?”
“Probably ‘cause Sleepy-hyung’s here…”

Haerun and ParkSeungjin’s whispers drifted in. Hearing that shit in actual voices instead of chat? Horrifying.
“Alright, ready to head in?”
DrinkWater’s slightly husky voice cut through the awkwardness.

“Everyone else knows the deal… Sleepy, Rahee, you two familiar with Seltern’s mechanics?”
“I watched a few guides.”
“Same here, just videos.”

“Cool, then let’s go. It’s just Normal, nothing hard. Treat it like practice.”
Haerun, as party lead, set the raid difficulty and hit enter. The screen shifted, revealing the leafy, overgrown dungeon interior.
Seltern’s not hard per se, but the maze-like forest, constant monster spawns, and confusing paths make clearing it tricky. Veteran parties breeze through—like this EveningGlow squad.

‘But more importantly…’
I glanced at my sub-monitor with Discord open. Why’s Yoo Chae so quiet?
I expected him to gush about hearing my voice again or spout weird shit. But after that one greeting, he hadn’t said a word.

‘Quiet’s better for me, but…’
