Harry Potter: The Planewalker

Chapter 75: Terrible Start

Christian found his body flying uncontrollably while his eyes only saw darkness. He could barely move, and his skin had many scratches. Before he could regain his senses, he hit what felt like a tree before crashing to the ground. An intense pain rushed into his mind, and he knew he had broken a few things as he crashed.

A little distance from him:

"What was that?" asked Voldemort. He had just found that Harry Potter was dead from Narcissa when he saw a flash of light in the distance, followed by a crashing noise.

"We don't know, my Lord."

"Rodulph, go see what it is."

Rodulphus Lestrange bowed before apparating to the distance. A few minutes later, he bought an unconscious Christian.

"A child? What is he doing here?"

"It's of no consequence. Kill him," said Voldemort before taking a step forward. "Wait, wake him up and find information from his mouth. He might be useful. Everyone else, follow me." Someone picked up the "dead" Harry and headed to Hogwarts.

"My Lord."

"Is something the matter?"

"No, nothing," said Rodulphus, lowering his head. Once the group was far away, he looked at Christian with hatred. He pointed his wand and used the Reviving Charm, allowing Christian to barely regain consciousness. However, before Christian could speak or even look around, he heard the word: "Crucio!"

"Argh," screamed Christian as an intense pain rushed deep into his mind. His body instinctively became stiff due to the pain, and that made the situation worse as he had broken his right arm and the bones in his back.

"Because of you, I cannot be by the side of the Dark Lord," said Rodulphus. "Crucio!" Christian shrieked, followed by his body spasming, worsening his injury. He rapidly used his Occlumency to protect his mind and reduce the pain; he did not want to turn into Neville's parent.

Albeit difficult, his mind swiftly concocted a plan amidst the chaos and immeasurable pain.

"D-Dumb…le…dore."

Rodolphus paused, "You know Dumbledore?"

"I-In…for…ma…tion."

"You have information about Dumbledore?" he asked with a frown.

"H-h-his…plan." His current pain was nothing compared to his previous curse, so Christian cherished the few seconds of breathing.

"What plan? I'm listening."

"T-t-too…much…pain."

"Are you messing with me?" Rodolphus raised his voice.

"D-Dark…Lord…re…ward."

"Yes, if your information is valuable, the Dark Lord might reward me," uttered Rodolphus. "You have five minutes."

He walked away, sitting on a nearby tree, looking in the distance. He would love nothing more than to be by the Dark Lord's side, but he was stuck with this child. Luckily, he might know some secret plans Dumbledore left before his death.

Christian still felt the pain despite the curse stopping. He had bought himself some time, waiting only until the muscle spasm ended and he could use his fingers. He looked at his body, focusing on his injury.

'The bones in my right hand are broken, but it's a clean break.' That's good news, as he did not have to worry about his bone impaling his skin. Christian recited a mantra to concentrate and manage the pain.

'The bones in my back seemed to be fractured, and there is a high chance I have some internal bleeding. Many of my muscles were strained because of the seizure, and I have numerous cuts on my body. Although I have lost some blood, it's not the point of worrying.'

Rodolphus returned to him two minutes later. "Talk, now!" Christian looked at him calmly before waving his fingers and casting the Freezing Charm, making him immobile. Rodolphus did not expect this child to use wandless magic and was caught off guard.

Christian then slowly removed his wand from his robe with his left hand and disarmed Rodolphus.

"Let's heal first," muttered Christian, who checked his body and felt relieved that his bag of holding was still there. He slowly took out a Winggenweld Potion and drank it. He felt a refreshing feeling in his stomach, indicating that the potion was healing his organs.

Christian used the Stamina Charm to aid the potion before pointing at his broken right arm: "Brachium Emando." A popping sound emanated before the right hand returned to its normal position, and the bones healed.

"It should take a few days to heal entirely, but it won't be a problem." He repeated the same maneuver for the broken injury on his back.

Christian then focused on his body, which was mostly cuts and bruises. "Reparifors." With this simple spell, he healed 80% of these injuries. "It was a good idea to learn basic Healing Spells."

Christian stood up and walked to the nearest tree to absorb some Life Energy to accelerate his healing. Life energy was not omnipotent, nor could it heal all injuries or even regrow limbs. However, it could accelerate the body's natural healing factors.

'This dark spell should be more popular in Healing Magic,' thought Christian, feeling his body was as good as new. He turned around to look at this man who caused so much harm for no reason; he could still feel the pain from the Cruciatus Curse. As such, every fiber in his body told him to repay his kindness. Christian exhaled before pointing his wand: "Legilimens." He navigated through this man's mind, learning about his life; he wanted to know where he was.

'The year 1998? Have I traveled to the future?' thought Christian. 'No, Harry seems to have blue eyes in his memory, and Ron looks like his actor, Rupert Grint. What's going on?' Suddenly, a word popped into Christian's mind:

'The Multiverse,' he thought, having read about it from Jim's memories. 'Have I traveled into an alternate timeline? Is this the ability of Odin's Eye?'

After figuring this out, a plethora of thoughts and ideas rushed into his mind all at once. He first thought of his father, who disappeared due to this artifact; Odin's Eye likely sent him to a parallel dimension, but which one? Jim's memories show that he knew the Multiverse was infinite, so how could he find his father from these endless possibilities?

Additionally, he was also lost and had no idea how to find his way home. 'Mum and Aunt Eleanor will freak out if I disappear, especially Mum; she already blamed herself for her father's disappearance. Will she be able to accept my disappearance?'

Christian felt a sudden urgency to return home. He looked around for the artifact and saw nothing; he was about to panic before remembering he had been brought here and landed somewhere else. He did not rush to his landing spot but tried the Summoning Charm, and to his surprise, the artifact flew into his hands.

He looked at it, but it seemed no different than after he translated.

"How do I activate this thing? Would I need another artifact like the diadem? Or maybe it needs a soul like the one in the diadem?"

After calming down, Christian could think logically and succinctly. It was 1998, specifically the final battle of Hogwarts, where Voldemort died. However, given that it was in a parallel dimension, things might play out differently than expected.

'I need to find a way to activate this artifact, but this might also be a situation I can use to my advantage,' concluded Christian before putting Odin's Eye inside his bag and walking toward Rodolphus. He was about to use the Confundus Charm to influence him, but suddenly changed his mind.

"Imperio!" This was the first time Christian was using the spell, but the [Intent] — which was a desire to dominate — came naturally to him after what this bastard put him through

Rodolphus was now entirely under his control.

"You can Apparate, right?"

"Yes."

"Good," said Christian, handing him one of the bags he used to train his Extension Charm. It had plenty of space.

"I need you to sneak into the castle and take all the books in the library, including the Forbidden Area. Once you finish, you need to…"

As Christian watched him disappear, he looked in the distance. He knew some of his friends and people he knew were fighting, and many would die. He could go and save them, but they were not his people. More importantly, he wanted to know what happened to himself and his family in this timeline.

He summoned the broom in his bag and flew toward Hagrid's cabin. As he expected, a can of Floo Powder was there, and he used it to teleport to his home. Then, the green flame swallowed him, and he disappeared.

"Who are you?" said a voice, shocked by Christian's sudden arrival.

"The question is, who are you?"

"You're intruding in my house, but asking me who I am?"
