When Shao Hui heard that Master Zi didn't know the seat number of his wife, he heaved a sigh of relief. Fortunately that mer had no idea about Mo Qiang's itinerary or else he would have gone to look for her right away.

"Why are you so relieved?" the mer sensed that there was something amiss with Shao Hui's expression and questioned.

"What? What's wrong with me?" Shao Hui raised his head and questioned back. He touched his cheek before adding in a soft voice, "It's nothing. I was just nervous, haha. Miss Qiang is my idol—I will be overly sensitive if I find out where she was seated."

"Haha. I understand. I understand. Even I am nervous just thinking about the new empress watching us. But then again, she is really awesome—how many empresses join in the fun?"

"Haha, that's right." Shao Hui laughed along but at the same time, he rushed to text Yin Fu. He needed to warn the mer lest he get caught.

At the same time, in the make-up room, which was not far from where Shao Hui was, an older mer was pacing around looking annoyed. Master Zi strode towards the backstage area and peered through the small gap that faced the crowd that had come to see the competition. However, he never saw the familiar face that he wanted to see.

Yin Fu, who noticed the old mer peeking around, stiffened. He glanced at his wife, who was waiting to see Shao Hui, all because she wanted to wish him good luck and felt like his life was way too hard. Why didn't this mer called Master Zi take a look at his own age? Was this the time to chase after idols? If his wife saw him, she would be so shocked that she would pass out.

"Where is he?" Mo Qiang, who was unaware of the danger she was in at the moment, turned to look at Yin Fu and said, "Is he going to come out later?"

"I guess?" Yin Fu answered while staring at the old mer and trying to maximise the distance between his wife and him. Since he was such a big fan of his wife, who knows—maybe he would be able to hear her voice and notice that it was Mo Qiang?

Mo Qiang, who was pushed to one side, looked down at the mer and let him do what he wanted. Though she did silently wonder if there was something wrong with him. She reached out to touch his forehead and asked, "Is everything alright?"

"I am alright," Yin Fu slapped Mo Qiang's hand off his forehead and turned to look behind him, only to see Master Zi looking at them. When he saw that the mer was staring at the two of them, he stiffened before pushing Mo Qiang harder.

One look and he could see that Master Zi sensed something amiss. If he didn't move with Mo Qiang now, he was worried that they would be caught.

Master Zi indeed sensed that there was something amiss. Because even though he couldn't see Mo Qiang, he was certain that he had heard her voice just now. However, why couldn't he see her?

Worried that he would miss her, he walked past the many workers who were dealing with the background machines.

"Ah Hui!" Just as he was wondering where Mo Qiang had gone. He heard her voice once again. Startled, Master Zi turned and looked at the old woman who was running towards Shao Hui. Though the woman was dressed like a crazy middle-aged woman —her voice was definitely Mo Qiang's!
