Chapter 70: Chapter 70: Family Visit to Hell(100 P.S Chapter)
Something's off.
Achelous slowly got up, head spinning, her face burning with pain.
If Eros could hit that hard, why did he even bother ambushing her back then?
There must be some kind of suppression on her divinity in Tartarus.
Yes, that had to be it!
"Human, today's not my day. I'll let you off for now. Once I'm out of here, we'll settle this!"
Sensing the danger, Achelous tried to flee without hesitation.
She absolutely didn't want to risk having her mind taken over by Eros again.
"Trying to run?"
With a blink of his [cosmos-powered teleportation], Eros appeared right in front of her.
He clenched his fist and gave her a warm smile.
"Could you... not hit me?"
Achelous trembled as she made her plea.
"Whale King's Dominion!"
"Vacuum Blade!"
"Imperial Sutra of the World!"
"Limitless Zen Shock!"
After unleashing the full set of whale-style martial arts techniques on her, Eros finally let out a satisfied breath.
Aside from the last move, Limitless Zen Shock, which packed a charged armor-breaking punch, the rest were basically just flashy, high-power attacks.
Still, it felt amazing to shout out attack names while throwing punches. Really boosted the vibe.
After the pounding, Achelous lay motionless, completely unable to get up again.
If back during their first encounter, she'd still posed some level of challenge…
Now? She was nothing more than an elite mob from the side of the road. That's about the extent of it.
Even among gods, the power gap could be vast.
Eros, thoroughly satisfied, felt refreshed from head to toe.
Back when fighting Typhon, all he could do was take hits and dodge. And even then, he got severely injured.
Now, being able to actively throw punches again felt fantastic.
"Alright, quit playing dead. You're not actually going to die."
They were already inside Tartarus. No matter how much she got beaten up, the worst that could happen was that she sank deeper into the abyss.
Well, there was a chance she could lose her sanity and regress to pure divinity, existing only as a presence in the world.
"How'd you find me? Are you familiar with this place?"
In a realm like Tartarus where even light is devoured, the only way to see anything was by letting one's divine presence illuminate the surroundings.
Eros was genuinely curious how Achelous managed to locate him in this place.
He hadn't brainwashed her using the [Phantom Emperor Fist], which meant he could still get his kicks from beating her senseless.
"Uh…"
Achelous hesitated, but under Eros's threatening gaze, she confessed honestly.
"Because I hold the [God of Rivers] authority, I can use water to sense things over a wide area…"
Indeed, the entire realm of Tartarus was filled with vast and endless waters.
All things on land flow into the sea. The sea sinks dead things into the River Styx.
And from there, the Styx carries everything to the lowest level of the world—Tartarus.
Though the Styx wasn't directly under Achelous's domain, it was still a river. Which meant he could use it.
"So you actually have that kind of utility?"
Eros hadn't expected her to be useful at a time like this.
He thought her narrative role had ended ages ago.
"What are you trying to do?!"
Seeing the look in Eros's eyes, Achelous was suddenly reminded of the traumatic beatdowns she had suffered under his control.
"Nothing much. Just want you to guide the way, that's all."
Smiling pleasantly, Eros used his [cosmos] to tie a harness around her.
"Come on. Let's go pay a visit to those Titan gods imprisoned in Tartarus."
He waved Hera over, though she didn't look too eager to join.
"What for? Aren't you afraid they'll smack you dead the moment they see you?"
Lesser Titans might be fine, but if they ran into her dear "father" Cronus, or that brute Coeus…
Hera figured if she got recognized on the spot, she'd probably want to die from embarrassment.
"Hey, since we're already here, we might as well take a look around, right?"
Understanding her concerns, Eros even gave her an excuse to save face.
"We'll just observe from a distance. No need to get too close."
He doubted he'd ever return to Tartarus again, so he had to make the most of this trip and meet the Titans locked away here.
As for whether he might get smacked around? Eros wasn't worried.
These defeated Titans had been crushed by Zeus, and after rotting in this abyss for so long, there was no way they could one-shot him now.
Under Eros's coaxing, Hera finally agreed.
She was curious to see what her "dear father" had become after being tormented in Tartarus all this time.
With Achelous enlarging her form, Eros and Hera stood right on her shoulders.
Eros didn't forget to dangle a carrot in front of her.
"Helping me out means I'm being the bigger person and letting bygones be bygones."
"When I get out, I'll even put in a good word with your mom. Maybe she'll pull you out sooner so you won't have to stay here getting 'reformed.'"
"You get what I'm saying? If not, you'll be stuck down here for who knows how long."
You're just a human. What makes you think you can leave Tartarus?
Achelous grumbled silently but didn't dare speak her thoughts aloud.
She obediently followed Eros's instructions, scanning for any traces of other imprisoned gods.
She wouldn't die, sure, but getting beaten still hurt like hell.
So she chose to go with the flow. If she had to be ridden like a mount, so be it.
The abyss of Tartarus had no boundaries, no direction, no light or sound—a world of pure void.
Only water stretched endlessly in all directions.
Achelous couldn't pinpoint other gods directly. All he could do was extend his [domain] and scan broadly, which had just happened to include Eros nearby earlier.
In this timeless darkness, after who knows how long, Eros finally encountered several imprisoned Titan gods.
But none of them were in great shape.
While their divine essence still glowed, protecting them from being erased by the abyss, the spiritual isolation had clearly driven many to madness. Several had chosen to shut themselves off and fall into deep sleep.
As a prison, Tartarus was terrifyingly perfect for gods.
Divinity could endure forever, but the mind could not.
After drifting through this abyss for an unknown amount of time, Eros finally saw a bright light ahead.
Radiant divine energy lit up the surroundings.
A towering figure sat motionless like a glowing mountain.
"Who's that?"
Keeping a safe distance, Eros turned to Hera.
"Don't tell me… that's Cronus?"
That Titan looked anything but ordinary. Eros instinctively became cautious.
"No, it's not."
Hera's expression twisted with mixed feelings, part regret, part relief.
"That's Coeus. A big oaf with no brain."
"One of the Twelve Titans, whose name means 'Strength.'"
No brain? That was great. Eros loved dealing with that type.
