Great Demon Sun Wukong

Chapter 212: The Battle Before Nightfall

The war among the Six Kingdoms has now basically reached its final stage. And as time has already closely passed its halfway point, it's now noon, just having to get through this afternoon and then survive a night, once the sunlight rises, that will be when the Six Kingdoms War ends.

Thus, this afternoon is critical, whether to use this last afternoon to rest and recover or to strive to snatch more Domain Beads, or to take the chance to kill those poisonous insects for Crystalline Bodies, each decision requires careful consideration—misstep now, and it all could be lost.

Until now, the Genesis Divine Nation is left with three people. The only top-level fighter is Lin Xi, with the remaining two at the Nine Patterns Supreme Peak, but they are far from being a match for a fighter like Lin Xi. Genesis Divine Nation possesses thirty Domain Beads, all on Lin Xi himself.

It's safe to say, barring any accidents, Genesis Divine Nation is undoubtedly set to be the champion of the Six Kingdoms War.

The Annihilation Demon Nation is left with two people, including one top-level fighter, owning fifteen Domain Beads. After the second night passed, Annihilation Demon Nation secured a few more, thus currently sitting in second place.

The Netherworld World is also left with two people, none other than the Six-Eared Macaque and the King of Qin. Initially, the Six-Eared Macaque encountered someone from the Netherworld World but alas, they were already gravely injured by the time they were found, and despite the Six-Eared Macaque's numerous attempts to save them, it was to no avail—the person died.

Although there are two surviving members of the Netherworld World, the King of Qin seems to have given up on everything and is now completely buried in the sand, devoid of life. The Netherworld World has fourteen Domain Beads, currently in third place.

Following them is the Myriad Demons Country, left with three people, Hao Chen, Bu Yun, and Yao Wumeng. Although the Myriad Demons Country has the same number of survivors as the leading Genesis Divine Nation, it's a pity that they possess too few Domain Beads, just five, all on Yao Wumeng.

The Judge stipulated that the final ranking would be based on the number of survivors from each Divine Kingdom, with an additional caveat—it's possible to replace a spot with five Domain Beads.

Meaning if there are two survivors with fifteen Domain Beads, then it can be equated to having three people with ten Beads or four people with five Beads. Therefore, although the Annihilation Demon Nation has only two people, its fifteen Domain Beads are equivalent to having three people.

The Myriad Demons Country, with only three people plus five Domain Beads, can at most count as four people, hence they are ranked fourth.

The last two, Myriad Gods Hall and Myriad Spirits Realm, are the most unfortunate, each with only one survivor and four Domain Beads each, with the survivors being Bi Hai from Myriad Gods Hall and Jixin from Myriad Spirits Realm.

So, if this afternoon and night pass without any accidents, the rankings of the Six Great Divine Nations are essentially set. If there's potential for any change, it would likely only be between Netherworld World and Annihilation Demon Nation, given they have the same number of people and are only separated by one Domain Bead.

As for the Genesis Divine Nation, they're securely in the first place, unless the other five Divine Nations join forces, which might make it possible to defeat Lin Xi and take those thirty Domain Beads.

Though unaware of the others' actions, the Six-Eared Macaque is currently seated atop a blood dragon, flying towards the locus of the Domain Bead sensation, where four Domain Beads are coming together. Clearly, the person who is there has also noticed someone approaching and is thus not foolishly waiting in place but is moving in another direction instead.

The Six-Eared Macaque actually gave it considerable thought before choosing to target these four Domain Beads. At the Domain Bead portal, the largest disturbance in the entire Sand Realm was thirty Domain Beads clumped together.

There are two possibilities here: one is that a person with tremendous power has collected thirty Domain Beads by their own strength, and the other is that many people are gathered together, likely from the same Divine Kingdom or at least as allies.

Regardless of which scenario it was, the Six-Eared Macaque felt that this would definitely not be the target to choose. The other disturbances were several clusters of ten or so Beads and four or five. If the Six-Eared Macaque's earlier guess is true, then it doesn't really matter which target to pick, because even if the opponent is strong, they likely won't die.

But that's under the assumption that the guess is correct—if they are wrong and the chosen target turns out to be powerful, then it's probable that it will be their end. Hence, the Six-Eared ultimately decided to go after one of the locations resonating with just four Domain Beads.

Although that person realized they were being pursued and was moving, their speed couldn't match the Six-Eared Macaque's.

Eventually, the pursuer also realized this, and shockingly, they opted to head for a comparably open area. The open area doesn't imply that the ground is bare, but rather it's a place relatively far from any Domain Bead disturbance—a clear sign that the person, unable to escape, planned to choose a location for a stand.

Simultaneously, Yao Wumeng is flying alone towards another spot with just four bead disturbances. As for the remaining movements of the Genesis and the Annihilation Demon Nation's Domain Lords, there's been no change at all, both staying put, seemingly resting. After all, with enough Domain Beads already in their possession, the most important thing now is to ensure no further casualties.

As long as no one else dies, that's victory.

Two Chinese Hours later, the Six-Eared Macaque stopped. Actually, if it had rushed over at top speed, the Six-Eared Macaque could have caught up to that person in less than a Chinese Hour. However, since that person also seemed to have given up on fleeing and rather prepared for battle, the Six-Eared was no longer in a hurry, hence spent the journey regaining vitality. Discover hidden tales at empire

When he finally reached the location radiating with Domain Beads, the Six-Eared Macaque had fully recovered to a peak state. Seeing the figure standing not far away, the Six-Eared Macaque leapt down from the blood dragon. But this time, instead of putting the dragon away, he managed the dragon to endlessly circle behind him.

Although a thorough reconnoiter had been conducted upon arrival, confirming only the presence of one person within a thousand miles, it's always better to be safe than sorry. Hence, the Blood Dragon was instructed to stand guard behind, vigilant against any possible sneak attacks.

"There's no need to be so guarded. I, Jixin, am not one to resort to petty schemes. If we're going to battle, let's do it fair and square!" Having said that, he stomped his right foot and his body was immediately enveloped in a purple hue laced with strands of blood red. His stature began to increase slowly until he stopped, having grown into a giant over four meters tall.

The Six-Eared Macaque didn't respond, for his true purpose in coming here was merely to verify a suspicion in his heart, so there was nothing much to say. He had heard of Jixin, a notably powerful practitioner of Body Cultivation within the Myriad Spirits Realm. Rumors had it that he had refined his physical body to an extreme, a mere step away from achieving the ultimate, perfect body.

Such a body, resistant to all calamities, is the robust form everyone aspires to attain. Thus, upon realizing that the owner of the four Domain Beads was none other than this man, the Six-Eared Macaque grew wary. Nonetheless, he wasn't overly concerned since his suspicion was already sixty percent confirmed. A battle with Jixin would undoubtedly cement his conclusion.

Thereupon, the Six-Eared Macaque withdrew the Crimson Blood Roaming Dragon Staff with his left hand and extended a finger on his right hand, directing the circling Blood Dragon to strike Jixin.

Meanwhile, Yao Wumeng slowly drew the crimson Destruction Sword Fenji from within his body and plunged the Tyrant Sword Juque straight into the ground beside him. Across from him, Bi Hai of the Myriad Gods Hall had already positioned his jade flute at his lips, his body mysteriously levitating. The conflict between the two was about to ignite.

Back at the Six-Eared Macaque's stand, facing the roaring Blood Dragon, Jixin remained immovable as a mountain, while the purple patterns on his body suddenly blazed brilliantly, shining like stars. All at once, Jixin clapped his hands together and stepped forward with a bow stance, then stretched his hands forward with force.

As Jixin moved, the purple radiance followed the direction of his hands, eventually morphing into an extremely sharp longsword. It seemed as if Jixin's arms served as the hilt, while the spreading light formed the blade. The Blood Dragon was now close at hand, and with a leap, Jixin stomped mid-air, creating a burst of air beneath him that propelled him forward, driving him toward the Blood Dragon.

In the very next moment, the purple light sword pierced the Blood Dragon, continuing to thrust forward; it entered at the dragon's head and exited through the tail. The Six-Eared Macaque happened to be standing at the tail end of the Blood Dragon, which meant the sword of purple light charged straight towards his chest.

Jixin, perhaps fearing insufficient power, kicked thrice more in mid-air, causing a purple blast to erupt anew, doubling his forward momentum.

The Six-Eared Macaque didn't show any sign of panic. He subtly shifted his body, placing his left hand behind his back while gripping one end of the Crimson Blood Roaming Dragon Staff with his right. He bellowed furiously and countered by bracing the other end of the Blood-Stopping Dragon Staff against the tip of the incoming sword of light.

The previously unstoppable charge unexpectedly came to a halt as though it had crashed into an impregnable wall; nevertheless, the formidable force from Jixin managed to push the Six-Eared Macaque ten meters back.

However, the fact that the Macaque had blocked the sword single-handedly meant that the impact of moving from rapid motion to an abrupt stop was fully absorbed by Jixin himself, causing his blood to churn. Just as he sharply inhaled to suppress the turmoil within, a voice, thunderous like an explosion, rang in his ears, "Dragon Force—Myriad Dragons Strike!"

Then, within Jixin's line of sight, there were all sorts of colossal dragons roaring as they charged toward him.
