Chapter 1399: Conor Parker

From MC's Perspective:

I was waiting in the living area. I didn't know who might be the owner. Would he be honest enough to show me the magic scrolls?

Meanwhile,

Margot was speaking to her father. The middle-aged man, Conor, behind the desk looked serious. He hadn't expected any celebrity guests to come here. He had received no information whatsoever.

He asked, "Who is the celebrity guest?"

Margot smiled and said, "It's the new wizard seed of the Silver Tower, Vincent Carey."

"It's him," Conor uttered in surprise.

Of course, he knew about the popular wizard seed these days. But he heard there was a match coming up two days later in the magic arena.

He looked at his daughter and said, "What is he doing here?"

"Doesn't he have a challenge duel?"

Margot said, "I don't know. But he is looking for antique magic scrolls."

"Magic scrolls?" Conor uttered.

He then thought of something before saying, "Was he looking for trump cards?"

"But the external items are not allowed to be used in the magic duel," he added.

"Maybe he wants them for personal use. Anyway, Father, we have a good chance to make connections with the Silver Tower. Wizard Seed Vincent Carey is the only way."

"I know you have personal antique collections. Show him some of your antique magic scrolls," Margot pleaded.

"This?" Conor was taken aback.

Then he thought about it carefully. It was indeed a good chance to make a connection. Not only that, they could build relationships with the Silver Tower.

They could be friends with the new wizard, Vincent Carey. It was no secret anymore that Wizard Seed Vincent didn't have a backer here. The wizard seed Vincent came from a barren region.

If they could be helpful to him, he was sure that Wizard Seed Vincent Carey would be grateful.

"Okay, go down. I'll be coming," Conor said to his daughter.

Margot nodded her head before leaving the room. He then went to his personal storage to find the magic scrolls. Fortunately, he had some items stored there.

After picking all those boxes, he collected them into his bracelet.

Just as he was about to leave, he thought about the other few magic scrolls that had not been appraised. After giving it some thought, he collected those items as well.

Meanwhile,

I was waiting for them. Suddenly, I heard footsteps behind me. I saw the person was none other than Margot.

"What happened?" I asked her.

"Just wait a minute; my father is bringing out those items," Margot said.

Hearing that, I nodded to her.

Margot sat on the opposite sofa. She said, "After hearing your name, my father was surprised. Fortunately, the customers were yet to come. I hope you can find the necessary items."

"Thanks," I replied.

A few minutes later,

I saw a middle-aged man with short black hair and eyes coming toward us. I thought he was Margot's father and the owner of the shop. I stood up to greet him.

"Hi, my name is Vincent Carey," I said to him.

"It's good to meet you, young man. My name is Conor Parker. This is my daughter, Margot Parker," Conor said.

"I heard you wanted to see magic scrolls. I have some of the collections with me." After saying that, he took all the boxes and placed them on the desk.

Seeing that, I got excited. Finally, the wait was over. I could look at the magic scroll items.

He then began to open the box covers one by one. The old book smell assaulted everyone's noses. Then the old tattered magic scrolls came into view.

"Most of them were appraised and identified. A few of them were family collections. They were appraised by my grandfather, but it was a long time ago," Conor said with a smile.

Margot was watching with an interested expression as well.

On the other hand, I started using the probe function. There were no results coming from the appraised ones. The magic scrolls were damaged as well.

They could be used for the showcase, but they weren't going to be useful to me. I was looking for the real ones, like the one I got from the underground storage.

I wondered who had gotten the black scroll and from where. If it was connected to outer space items, then I could only forget about searching here.

As time passed, I checked over 10 magic scrolls but got no results whatsoever.

Conor and Margot were watching Vincent Carey's expression as well. Their future plan depended on him, so they were not keeping any magic scrolls hidden.

All of them were brought out by Conor.

[Ding! Magic spell fluctuations detected.]

[Ding! A single spell attack power can still be used.]

The mechanical voice sounded in my mind. Hearing that, my heart skipped a beat the next second. Finally, I got the result. But I didn't know what the level of attack power was.

Then I used the system function to check further. Another result showed up: there was a chance of the spell attack being the power of a Magic Lord.

My eyes flashed with disappointment. I was looking for the Forbidden Wizard level magic scroll. Then a look of understanding dawned on me.

It wasn't easy to find a magic scroll containing a Magic Lord Spell Attack, let alone the Forbidden Wizard. I understood it was great to come across this scroll already.

Even if I couldn't use it against the Forbidden Wizard Remi, I could use it on the Meteor Supreme Filip. I had a feeling that the Old Man would definitely try to do something against me.

Being the same member of the Silver Tower, he hadn't had the opportunity to act far. But he knew that if the Old Man got an opportunity outside, he would definitely go for it.

Then I collected my thoughts before saying, "I'm interested in this red scroll. Can you sell it to me?"

Hearing that, Conor was shocked, because the magic scroll was exactly the family collection. He hadn't appraised the red magic scroll since his grandfather.

According to his grandfather, it was another old era magic scroll due to the beautiful cover design. He had kept it in the family.
