Going Digital

As the group walks up the long flight of steps to the top of Logic Volcano, they are unaware of the fact that they were being watched by a nasty-looking Digimon with gray fur on its body, a big mouth with very large teeth in it, orange hands with long fingers that had sharp claws at the end of them, two pairs of bat wings coming out of the sides of its head, a tuft of white fur on its chest, and reddish-orange hair going down its back; it's eyes were glowing green as it stared at them.

Somewhere in a dark, shadowy area of the Digital World, several dark figures were watching a projection of what the gray Digimon was looking at it.

"Excellent work, Vilemon; keep an eye on that group." said a tall, humanoid Digimon with gray skin and a thick mane of white hair, red wings on its back, long arms with very sharp claws at the ends of them, on its torso was a line of red orbs going from its left shoulder down the left side of it; it was wearing a mask with gold mask with six eyes, and long horns on the sides of it, a dark gray shoulder plate on its right shoulder, red wrappings on its forearms, dark gray pants with coffin-shaped plates on the legs, and boots with a pair of spikes on the toes of each one.

"So, that's the group that took down Ogremon, NeoDevimon?" asked a Digimon wearing a red hooded cape, gray cloak, and a necklace with a crystal eye attached, while holding a scythe with a chain and small metal ball attached to it.

"That's them all right, Phantomon." said the humanoid Digimon now identified as NeoDevimon.

"I can't believe Ogremon was defeated by a bunch of brats!" exclaimed a Digimon that looked like a Tyrannosaurus with cybernetic attachments.

Nearby was a Digimon that looked like a black dog with three heads, and long sharp blades coming out of top of its feet; chewing on a bone while growling.

"I know, Cerberusmon." said the tyrannosaurus-like Digimon.

"What do you think we should do about these brats, MetalTyrannomon?" asked NeoDevimon.

"We should just take them out now!" said the tyrannosaur Digimon now known as MetalTyrannomon.

"I still don't see how humans are even here in the Digital World." said NeoDevimon.

"I didn't believe it was possible." said Phantomon.

"Well, if humans can come to our world, then it should be possible for us to go to their world!" said MetalTyrannomon.

"Well, that's what Lord Titamon is working on right now." said NeoDevimon as he looks at a far end of the area where a massive, green humanoid Digimon with an eyeball on its waist, clad in green armor with green shoulder pads that looked like skulls with a large spike-like horn coming out of each one, golden arm shields with horns on them, gold knee guards and boots that looked like skulls, and a gold mask that had very long horns sticking straight up; it was channeling energy into a massive sword with a very big blade, a hilt that looked like a skull, and a red handle.

Also, channeling energy into the sword with Titamon was a female Digimon that looked human, wearing purple robes over a black catsuit, golden ornaments in her hair, along with golden gauntlets.

"Why does Lilithmon get to help Lord Titamon?" asked MetalTyrannomon.

"Because we're supposed to be in charge of our conquest of the Digital World!" said NeoDevimon. "And also, she can afford to spare the energy for Lord Titamon's plan."

"Do you really think that Lord Titamon's sword can cut through the barrier between the human world and our world?" asked Cerberusmon as he continued gnawing on his bone.

"If we want to dominate both worlds, then we have to try something." said Phantomon.

"WOULD YOU FOOLS KEEP IT DOWN?!" said Titamon from where he was, scaring the other Digimon, except for Lilithmon who was too focused on her task. "It takes a lot of concentration to channel my energy, so keep your voices down!"

"Our apologies, my lord." said NeoDevimon as he bows to him. Titamon just growls as he refocuses his attention on his sword.

"Now what to do about those kids?" asked MetalTyrannomon.

"Currently, they're heading to the top of Logic Volcano to see Taomon." said Phantomon.

"Why are they going to him?" asked Cerberusmon.

"That much is unclear at this time, but we should continue to watch them." said NeoDevimon.

"Do we have any minions in that area right now?" asked Phantomon.

"Airdramon's not far from there." replied Cerberusmon.

"He'll get there in no time and deal with those kids and their Digimon allies." said NeoDevimon.

Not far from Logic Volcano, a winged, serpentlike Digimon wearing a skull-like helmet over the top half of its head was flying across the sky.

'Airdramon; can you hear me?' NeoDevimon's voice says in the Digimon's head.

"Yes, NeoDevimon; what is it?" said the Digimon, now identified as Airdramon.

'There are six human children with Digimon on Logic Volcano; we want you to dispose of them.' replied NeoDevimon.

"As you wish, NeoDevimon." replied Airdramon. It turns around and begins flying towards Logic Volcano.

Lincoln and the rest of the group, along with their Digimon are walking across a large open area at the halfway point of the steps they were climbing.

"Let's take a break." said Rusty as he sits down on a flat rock.

"I'm up for that." said Elecmon as he sits down next to him.

"Man; I hope Taomon knows a way for us to return to our world." said Lincoln as he puts down what they've been through so far in Logic Volcano into his journal.

"I'm hoping we don't have to walk back through this volcano." said Rusty.

"Yeah, we're almost out of water." said Liam.

"Maybe Taomon will have some he can spare?" suggested Clyde.

"I hope so." said Stella. The sound of something moving through the air above them gets their attention, making them look upward to see Airdramon coming at them.

"Big Jaw!" shouts Airdramon as it opens its mouth wide.

"Get down!" shouts Lincoln as they dive to the ground, barely avoiding getting eaten.

"I thought we were done with the tests." said Agumon.

"What Digimon is that?" asked Stella. Rusty takes out his Digivice and points it at Airdramon.

"Airdramon, Champion Level, Mythical Animal Type, Vaccine Attribute; special attack, Spinning Needle." said Rusty. Their Digimon run in between Lincoln and his friends and Airdramon that turned around and is flying towards them. Lincoln, Clyde, Stella, Liam, and Zach pull out their Digivices and push the buttons; their Digimon digivolved to their champion forms.

"Wing Cutter!" exclaimed Airdramon; it flaps his wings and releases blades of air from them, and they hit the Digimon, knocking them back.

"If that flying snake wants to play rough; then let's give it what it wants!" said Rusty.

"Ready, guys?" Lincoln asked the Digimon. They all nod as Airdramon comes back around.

"Wait for it to get close, then hit it with your best shots." said Stella. When the Airdramon got close, Sunflowmon started channeling light into her face.

"Sunshine Beam!" shouts Sunflowmon as she fires a beam of light from her face, hitting the Airdramon right into its own.

"AUUGGHH!" shouts the Airdramon. Because of the brightness of the attack, it was blinded to the point it couldn't see where it was going, and it crashes into the side of a cliff; it then falls to the ground in front of the group as it thrashes around, nearly missing them.

"We need to stop that guy before he knocks us off the volcano!" said Clyde.

"Hit it with everything you've got!" shouts Lincoln.

"Mega Flame!" shouts GeoGreymon as he releases a blast of fire from his mouth.

"Double Dash Claw!" shouts Gaogamon as he swings his paws, releasing an X-shaped wave of energy.

"Razor Wind!" shouts Reppamon as he unleashes a blade of wind from his tail.

"Fist of the Beast King!" shouts Leomon as he launches an aura resembling a lion's head from his fist.

"Sulfur Plume!" shouts Golemon as he releases superheated gases from the spouts on his back; the attacks all reach the Airdramon and hit it, causing a massive explosion.

"AUUUUGGGGHHHHH!" shouts the Airdramon as it starts to break apart. "I have failed you, Lord Titamon; forgive me!" Its body soon completely breaks apart, leaving the kids and their Digimon alone on the platform.

"We beat it!" cheered Liam.

"That Digimon wasn't as tough as the ones we've seen on this volcano." said Clyde.

"Well, let's not think too much about it, guys." said Lincoln. The kids' Digimon all returned to their Rookie Forms, and they all continue making their way up the volcano, unaware that Vilemon was watching them.

Back in the dark area with Titamon's minions.

"Airdramon has failed us." said NeoDevimon.

"That weakling! He barely put up a fight!" exclaimed MetalTyrannomon.

"He was our weakest minion." said Phantomon.

"I only sent him just to see how strong the children's Digimon were." said NeoDevimon.

"I'll miss Airdramon." said Cerberusmon.

"You just liked chewing on his horns." said MetalTyrannomon.

"So, what's your point?" asked Cerberusmon.

"What do you think of the humans' Digimon's strength?" asked Phantomon.

"It is impressive, but no threat to us, and certainly not to Lord Titamon." said NeoDevimon. Titamon and Lilithmon are continuing to channel energy into Titamon's sword.

What other dangers are in store for the kids and their Digimon?
