Amidst Ethan's excitement, the Green Corpse Emperor, who had already finished reviving his Undead Army, said one last thing, "So, you can't communicate with your Sponsored God."

Actually, the barrier was created in order to stop the Sponsored Gods from sending more of their apostles to assist the apostle in the realm.

Of course, the communication with the Sponsored Gods is cut off because once they know the situation is not going well for their apostle, they might bestow some godly items, which would eventually lead to a war between two Sponsored Gods.

Thus, until the winner of the duel is decided, the Sponsored Gods won't know anything other than sensing whether their apostle was still alive or dead through the God's Mark they engraved on their apostle's souls.

Of course, one year in the Greenheart Realm was less than four days in Ethan's province, and it was even less time for the Sponsored Gods.

"Human named Ethan, I am waiting for our duel in a year."

After saying that, the Green Corpse Emperor turned around and left along with his Undead Army with an excited smile on his rotten face, thinking of all the benefits he would get after capturing Ethan.
