God-Tier Kazekage: Building the Ultimate Hidden Sand Village

Chapter 63: 《God-Tier Kazekage: Building》Chapter 63: Nightfall

"Internal strife, subordinates overthrowing their superiors... Such a reputation is never pleasant." The Third Kazekage glanced meaningfully at Sōmi, though his expression revealed no trace of worry.

"They encroach on the village's interests solely to satisfy their own selfish desires!"

"Only shared values can lead to unity, and only unity can lead to solidarity!"

"These people, who act against the development of our village, have long since become estranged from us in both heart and mind."

"With divided hearts and conflicting wills, how can they still claim to be part of the same household? And how can they even be considered 'superiors'?"

"We must make them understand whose village Sunagakure truly is. Those who infringe upon the interests of Sunagakure have no chance of forgiveness."

"Only lessons etched in blood will leave a deep enough impression!"

"Humans are no different from trees. The higher a tree strives to grow towards the light, the deeper its roots must dig into the soil, into the darkness, into the depths, into the vile..." Sōmi's tone was somber, his gaze distant.

Hearing this, the Third Kazekage's expression grew solemn.

"That's why, Teacher, you should focus more on cultivating the Anbu. Some matters that cannot see the light of day will always need someone to handle them. As for the position of Kazekage, it is best suited for standing at the pinnacle, basking in the sunlight, enjoying the admiration and reverence of the people, and bringing them hope and prosperity..."

Sōmi laid out his thoughts without reservation.

"Hmm..."

After a moment, the Third Kazekage leaned back against his chair. His previously rigid posture finally relaxed as he let his full weight sink into the seat.

"Sōmi, you've grown..."

"Having you as my disciple is not only my honor but also the village's fortune!"

The Kazekage exhaled deeply, as though releasing a great burden.

"This is all thanks to your guidance and teachings, Teacher!"

Sōmi straightened his expression and bowed slightly toward the Kazekage in respect.

"No, no... Your understanding of the Kazekage's responsibilities has already surpassed mine!"

The Kazekage chuckled, waving his hand dismissively, his demeanor light and carefree.

After speaking, he stood up and walked to the window, gazing at the warm lights spilling out from the homes below.

"Teacher, if there's nothing else, I'll take my leave now," Sōmi said after sitting for a while. He looked at the Kazekage, who seemed lost in thought by the window, and spoke up.

"Oh~ Yes! Go ahead!" The Kazekage, snapping out of his thoughts, responded.

Just as Sōmi was about to leave the meeting room, he heard the Kazekage's voice behind him, offering a final piece of advice.

"Be extremely cautious when dealing with the One-Tail. If you're not confident, don't push yourself. It's not easy to cultivate a successor to the Kazekage..."

Sōmi paused briefly but said nothing. He silently walked out of the meeting room.

After Sōmi left, the Third Kazekage continued to gaze out at the village from the window.

His expression gradually turned cold, and he murmured to himself, "If someone must bear the darkness, how could a teacher place such a burden on his disciple? Giving the disciple the opportunity to bask in the sunlight is what makes a teacher truly worthy..."

"Welcome home!"

Under the night sky, Rasa had just pushed open the door when a warm, affectionate voice caught his attention.

Bathed in soft light, a gentle woman wearing an apron greeted him with a bright smile.

The woman had shoulder-length sandy-brown hair and a tall, graceful figure. At her feet stood a little blonde girl, delicately carved like a porcelain doll.

The girl, about two years old, had her hair styled into two small pigtails. She was dressed neatly and elegantly, clearly well cared for.

When the girl saw Rasa, her face lit up with joy. She rushed toward him, shouting excitedly, "Daddy!"

"Oh! It's Temari!" Rasa's face instantly broke into a wide smile as he scooped Temari up into his arms.

"Karura, where's Kankurō?" Rasa glanced around the cozy and warm living room and kitchen.

"Kankurō is already asleep!" Karura replied, her smile unwavering as she carried a plate to the dining table.

"Come eat! I made your favorite shawarma today!"

After setting the plate down, Karura headed back toward the kitchen.

Rasa quickly put Temari down and said to Karura, "You're still pregnant—let me handle it!"

Once Rasa had finished setting the dishes on the table, he looked over to see Karura lovingly placing food into Temari's bowl.

Temari's little cheeks were flushed with excitement, making her look even more adorable.

Her chubby hands held a spoon as she skillfully brought food to her mouth, clearly accustomed to eating on her own.

Rasa stood there, momentarily dazed.

"What's the matter? Is something wrong in the village?" Karura's deep blue eyes turned to Rasa, her gaze as tranquil and serene as a lake surrounded by reeds.

"No... It's nothing..."

Rasa snapped out of his thoughts. As he looked into Karura's eyes, Sōmi's words from the meeting room echoed in his mind.

"Karura... It's truly a blessing to have you by my side..." Rasa said, his expression complicated.

"What are you saying?" Karura chided playfully. "The children are here..."

"With the Kazekage overseeing the village, you don't need to worry too much. Spend more time with Temari and Kankurō—they're always calling for their daddy!"

Karura said this in a seemingly casual tone.

"Yes, the title of Kazekage carries such weight..."

For a moment, Rasa felt as though a heavy burden had been lifted from his shoulders. He suddenly had the comforting thought that, no matter what, someone else would bear the weight if the sky fell.

He thought of the Third Kazekage, tirelessly negotiating with Elder Takahashi and the Genpei clan head in the meeting room, and of Sōmi, whose bold words had left a lasting impression...

"Alright! I'll make more time for you all in the future!" Rasa said, a smile finally gracing his face.

"Huh?"

Karura blinked, seemingly surprised by Rasa's response. But in the next moment, her face lit up with a radiant smile of happiness.

"Karura! Bring out that bottle of fine wine I've been saving. Tonight, we're celebrating—I'm having a few drinks!"

Rasa's hearty voice seemed to drift out of their warm home, echoing into the night sky above the village.

At the edge of the village, inside a blacksmith's workshop.

Clang! Clang! Clang...

Though night had fallen, the workshop was still aglow with a fiery red light, warding off the evening chill.

"Dear, it's so late—aren't you going to rest?"

A woman in her thirties, holding a sleeping boy in her arms, called out to the blacksmith with a hint of complaint in her voice.

"Almost done! Just let me finish forging this piece, and then I'll come to bed!"

The burly man replied in a deep, resonant voice. His hands didn't slow for a moment as he raised his hammer high and brought it down on a glowing piece of iron.

A while later, the woman returned from the house.

She stood silently, watching her husband skillfully shape the metal, quenching it as sparks flew.

Suddenly, as if struck by a thought, she spoke up. "Dear, I heard that the Kazekage lost to someone from Konohagakure?"

"I used to hear from Yomei and the others that the Kazekage was the strongest of his generation. How could he lose?"
