Chapter 3:
Chapter 3: King Grade Bloodline, Ten Clones!:
[Congratulations to Sect Master Li Ange for obtaining the advanced Cultivation Technique: Heavenly Profound Technique.]
Li Ange was pleased with the result of his draw. An advanced Cultivation Technique capable of reaching the Nascent Soul Realm was more than sufficient for his current needs.
He moved on to the spell draw.
[Congratulations to Sect Master Li Ange for obtaining the spiritual-level spell: Cold Light Sword Art.]
His eyes lit up.
A spiritual-level spell, and one specialized in powerful sword techniques, was a significant reward.
“Not bad. This sword art will remain useful even during the Divine Transformation and Self Union periods,” Li Ange thought, satisfied. He quickly learned the Cultivation Technique and spell, which updated his personal panel:
[Personal Panel]
[Name]: Li Ange
[Number]: GH54F3823AG
Realm: Mortal (0%)
[Sect]: Wind Spirit Moon Shadow Sect
[Cultivation Technique]: Heavenly Profound Technique (0% Initiation)
[Skill]: Cold Light Sword Art (0% Initiation)
[Talent]: Sirius Bloodline
[Supernatural Power]: Sirius Transformation (not activated)
The updated panel looked far more impressive than it had initially.
“If my strength is synchronized with my clones, what happens if I let them cultivate?” Li Ange pondered.
He synchronized the Cultivation Technique and spells with Clone No. 1 and instructed it to start cultivating. Without hesitation, the clone sat cross-legged and entered a meditative state.
Thanks to the connection forged by the Cultivation Technique, Li Ange could clearly sense the surrounding Spiritual Qi being absorbed into the clone’s body.
Five minutes later, his panel updated:
[Cultivation Technique]: Heavenly Profound Technique (0.1% Initiation)
“It works!” Li Ange smiled.
The progress of 0.1% in five minutes wasn’t slow, especially given the King Grade Talent and advanced Cultivation Technique. By comparison, someone without Talent practicing a low-level Cultivation Technique might take an hour to achieve the same progress.
“In 83 hours—just over three days—one clone could reach the first level of Qi Refining Realm. If I create more clones…”
Excited by the idea, Li Ange immediately spent six Spirit Stones to create two additional clones. The costs increased exponentially: the first clone had cost one Spirit Stone, the second two, and the third four.
He synchronized the Cultivation Technique with all three clones and set them to cultivating.
Five minutes passed.
[Cultivation Technique]: Heavenly Profound Technique (0.4% Initiation)
Li Ange burst into laughter.
With just three clones, his progress was already notable. He envisioned having a hundred or even a thousand clones, breaking through realms in an instant.
The clones’ ability to cultivate continuously without fatigue made this even more advantageous.
Driven by this realization, Li Ange continued creating clones:
The fourth clone cost 8 Spirit Stones.
The fifth cost 16 Spirit Stones.
The sixth cost 32 Spirit Stones.
The seventh cost 64 Spirit Stones.
The eighth cost 128 Spirit Stones.
The ninth cost 256 Spirit Stones.
When he reached the ninth clone, his Spirit Stones were nearly depleted. The tenth clone required 512 Spirit Stones, but he only had 489 left.
“I need to find a way to earn more Spirit Stones,” Li Ange thought.
In the Ten Thousand Races Continent, Spirit Stones could be obtained by hunting demonic beasts, collecting Heavenly and Mortal Treasures, or, if lucky, discovering Spirit Stone veins. Newcomer tasks also offered opportunities to earn Spirit Stones.
Li Ange opened the task menu, where he saw options such as hunting demonic beasts, recruiting disciples, and breaking through realms.
Hunting demonic beasts wasn’t feasible yet. Despite having nine clones, all were still in the mortal realm, incapable of confronting powerful creatures.
Breaking through realms was achievable. With nine clones cultivating simultaneously, his progress increased by 0.9% every five minutes. At this rate, reaching the Qi Refining Realm would take just nine hours.
“Not too long,” Li Ange mused, before glancing at his clones, who were focused on their cultivation.
A thought struck him. Although his clones were part of him, they were also flesh-and-blood beings.
“If they’re real enough, could they be recruited into the Sect?”
Curious, Li Ange instructed Clone No. 9 to join his Sect.
“No. 9 greets the Sect Master,” the clone said, bowing respectfully.
[You successfully recruited a disciple and received a reward: 500 Spirit Stones.]
[You successfully recruited a disciple with low-level Talent and received a reward: 500 Spirit Stones.]
[You successfully recruited a disciple with intermediate Talent and received a reward: 500 Spirit Stones.]
[You successfully recruited a disciple with King Grade Talent and received a reward: 2,000 Spirit Stones.]
Li Ange stared at the notifications in disbelief before bursting into laughter. His experiment had succeeded beyond his expectations.
With Clone No. 9 joining the Sect, he earned a total of 5,000 Spirit Stones.
“System, create another clone,” Li Ange commanded, producing Clone No. 10.
[The system prompts that the current host can only create up to ten clones. When the host reaches the Qi Refining Realm, the limit will increase to 100 clones, each costing 1,000 Spirit Stones.]
Although temporarily unable to create more clones, Li Ange wasn’t disappointed. The steady cost of 1,000 Spirit Stones per clone in the next realm was a relief, given the earlier exponential increases.
With 4,977 Spirit Stones remaining, Li Ange decided to allocate them for cultivation.
He distributed the Spirit Stones among his ten clones, significantly accelerating their progress. Spirit Stones tripled their cultivation speed, reducing the time needed to reach the Qi Refining Realm from over eight hours to less than three.
While waiting, Li Ange opened the regional chat channel to see what was happening.
