Chapter 943: Three Deities
Divine light surged into the sky, dazzlingly bright.
Fang Hao's eyes widened in surprise as he stared at the three figures above him.
He had never imagined that a wedding between an Elf Prince and a transmigrator would be attended by gods.
Or perhaps, gods had always participated in the decisions of all races, but ordinary people could not perceive them.
Thus, there was no record of this in any documents.
Because you never know whether the person standing next to you is an ordinary human, or a descended deity.
The three upstairs were even more astonished than he was.
A deity of unknown identity had appeared among the transmigrators on the first floor.
This was beyond their expectations.
They speculated about the unknown divine being's identity and were cautious about her intentions for being here.
At that moment, the three murmured a few words, then turned and gave some instructions behind them.
The distance was too great and the scene too noisy.
Even with Fang Hao's sharp senses, he couldn't hear what was being said.
Soon after, the magical elevator on one side descended slowly, the door opened, and a woman dressed in splendid attire, elegant and beautiful in appearance, stepped out.
When the woman appeared, the noisy hall instantly fell silent.
One of the Demigods of the Elf Clan.
'Radiant Splendor - Flerica'.
After a brief silence, the hall instantly became noisy again, everyone converging towards the woman, bowing deeply or greeting her enthusiastically.
The woman responded with a gentle smile, displaying the gracious amiability of the Elf Clan.
The woman then walked out of the crowd and headed straight for the transmigrator's side.
All eyes followed the Demigod as she moved.
Curious as to why she was heading towards the transmigrator.
While everyone guessed that the Elf Demigod was making an approach to demonstrate her approachability by intentionally speaking with the transmigrator.
She approached a woman who was not dressed extravagantly and had slightly darker skin, smiling as she did so.
Bowing, she said, "My lady, please proceed to the third floor, a separate room has already been prepared for you."
Whoosh~!
In an instant, Fang Hao felt everyone's gaze suddenly turn to him.
Most of the transmigrators were seeing a Demigod hero for the first time.
Just a moment ago they were excitedly discussing the Demigod, and the next second everyone was frozen in place, somewhat confused about what just happened.
"What's going on, a Demigod bowing to a green hero? Is the green tier even higher than a hero's?"
"She doesn't look like she's the leader of any major clan either, why would that be?"
"She must have some special identity."
"A Demigod bowing to her, her status must be extraordinary indeed."
Being the center of attention all of a sudden made Fang Hao quite uncomfortable.
He only wanted to sneak a peek at who was at the wedding banquet, to eavesdrop on some plans or such.
He didn't expect to be pinned down right after coming in.
It made him quite uncomfortable.
He had thought about immediately dispelling the divine descent, but then swiftly dismissed the idea.
The role of the three-headed dog is to locate the gods when divinity is dispelled.
It's tough to say the Elf side doesn't possess such an artifact.
Since the other party also doesn't know his identity, he might as well pretend that he's just here to join the fun and wait until it's safe to dispel the divine descent.
"Lead the way!" Fang Hao said softly.
"My lord, this way please... " The Elf Demigod gestured invitingly.
Fang Hao nodded, following the Elf Demigod through the crowd and back onto the magical elevator, ascending towards the mountain floor.
As the group left.
Everyone at the transmigrator's side turned their heads in unison towards 'Cleolando'.
"Miss Cleolando, is this your guard?"
"Oh my God! Miss Cleolando actually brought someone of this stature and didn't even introduce us."
"Exactly, who is she really?"
"Miss Cleolando, could she possibly be from some ancient race, or maybe a descendant of a celestial…"
The transmigrators were in total disarray.
Natives were approaching too.
First, they bowed elegantly, then asked very politely, "Who is that lady from just now?"
The rest of the native nobles also waited on the side, eager to clear their confusion.
Cleolando was sweating, somewhat overwhelmed.
She gave a vague explanation, mentioning they met on the road and came along together.
But evidently, the crowd didn't believe it and kept pressing with questions.
Inside a room on the second floor.
Savana, with the help of an Elf maid, adjusted her veil, making final preparations.
What is called a wedding banquet is actually more of a thanksgiving dinner; internals rituals had already completed within the Elf community, today was more about inviting everyone as witnesses and sending some signals to the outside world.
Hearing the intermittent silence and noise from outside piqued Savana's curiosity about what was happening.
She instructed her maid, "Go see what happened."
The Elf maid quickly descended the stairs and soon hurried back, speaking softly, "Miss Savana, it seems a prominent figure has arrived and Lady Flerica personally took her up to the third floor."
A prominent figure?
Savana's eyes narrowed, her curiosity intensifying, "Who is it, where is she from?"
The Elf maid continued, "She was brought in by a transmigrator."
"A transmigrator?" Savana turned around swiftly, looking at her attendant, "What's her name?"
"Cleolando."
Savana's brows furrowed, deep in thought, "It's her, that shouldn't be right."
Fourth!
What significant figure could she bring?
She also guessed, if someone was brought by the Chinese side, or by Aerygon, it might be related to Fang Hao.
Unexpectedly, it was the fourth-ranked 'Cleolando'.
The intelligence mentioned that she had lost her territory and was hiding outside the desert, not daring to return.
It really shouldn't be her.
At this moment, the door to the dressing room was pushed open again.
A queen's trusted aide walked in, lowered her voice and said: "The lady asks you to proceed with the wedding banquet, and ignore everything else."
"Oh, okay." Savana immediately nodded, urging her maid to hurry up so nothing would be delayed later.
After the trusted aide left, Savana became even more suspicious.
...
The third floor was decorated more luxuriously and scarcely looked any less magnificent than a major power's Royal Palace.
Fang Hao followed 'Felica' along a corridor.
He had heard the Dragon Queen mention her before.
The Elf Prince who married Savana belongs to her line.
She appears charming and youthful, but is actually quite old in age.
The two arrived at a private room, knocked lightly on the door, then pushed it open and entered.
Upon opening the door, the dazzling divine light nearly blinded Fang Hao.
Inside the room were three priests of the Elf Clan, either sitting or standing, all looking at him simultaneously.
'Felica' left after bringing the visitor in and then closed the door behind her.
One of the deities spoke first, "Please have a seat!"
Fang Hao nodded and sat down on the chair closest to him.
His gaze swept over the trio, visually, nothing particular stood out.
All of them were Elf priests, one had reached the orange tier, and the remaining two were ordinary priests.
But their attire revealed some distinctions.
The leader wore a priest's robe decorated with a branch Crown, scepter, green vines, and a golden sun.
Another wore a crescent moon, radiant stars, and patterns of blue rays.
The last one's attire was adorned with patterns of books, organs, and flowing winds, looking much more artistic.
"How may I address you?" the priest with the Crown pattern asked.
There were no special phrases.
It wasn't like the generous and eloquent speech of deities in stories.
It was more like a casual conversation, like two strangers in a tavern asking each other a question.
Fang Hao retracted his gaze, his tone flat, "Lord of Thunder!"
"Oh? Recently, the news of a newly ascending deity was regarding you, right?" the other party replied.
Lord of what, these titles are actually rather old-fashioned.
Most frequently seen amongst the Giant deities.
Fang Hao was using the title of a 'Lord of Thunder' whom he had killed himself, ensuring no overlap with current deities.
Of course, he didn't expect the other party to think someone would fabricate titles after becoming a deity.
"How should I address you three?" Fang Hao didn't answer but instead asked in return.
"Elf God, Moon Goddess, and God of Knowledge," the man continued.
The three were all established deities, hence they had no intention to hide their identities.
Fang Hao nodded, memorizing their names.
From this, one could see the difference between Elves and Orcs.
Even amidst a war, Orcs only utilized two deities. Look at the Elves here, attending a mere broken wedding yet three show up.
Of course, that was just Fang Hao's private commentary.
It can't be compared like this.
The Orcs also worship many deities, but very few are truly willing to intervene or engage in direct combat with unknown deities.
It's like, you invite me to watch a show and dine, that's fine, but asking me to fight for you, that requires consideration.
"Actually, you don't need to be nervous, I just came along with a follower to join the fun."
As Fang Hao spoke, cheers could be heard outside the door.
A melodious song started, signifying the wedding banquet had began, and even from inside the room, the bustling noise outside was audible.
"You're welcome, of course, it's just the guests below are mostly ordinary people, suitable viewing spots are necessary," the Elf God continued.
"Oh, haha." Fang Hao laughed heartily.
At this moment, the Moon Goddess also spoke, "Are you acquainted with the transmigrator?"
"Just made a friend under normal circumstances."
"The recent events in the Orc region, do you have any involvement?" the Moon Goddess continued to inquire.
Fang Hao picked up a nearby wine glass, took a slight sip, and shook his head, "No involvement."
The three looked at him simultaneously, trying to discern the truth in his words.
Deities have the capability to detect lies, but it's difficult to distinguish them from a deity, especially in a divine presence.
Afterward, they chatted about many things.
All were probing each other's details.
However, as Fang Hao wasn't aware of many things, he did not know what to ask.
At the end of the wedding and moving into the banquet phase,
Fang Hao also stood up, greeted the three, and left the third-floor private room.
He went downstairs and called for 'Cleolando' to head back together.
...
The highly anticipated wedding banquet ended rather abruptly.
Fang Hao didn't even get to see what the groom looked like before returning.
Whereas 'Cleolando' was surrounded by a crowd of transmigrators for a long time before finally exiting and taking a deep breath.
Returning to the main city, Fang Hao released his divine presence.
He opened the Book of Lords, and the wedding scene remained one of the hottest topics with several photos posted online.
After sending 'Cleolando' back, Fang Hao saw the Dragon Queen lounging on a rocking chair like an old grandfather in the backyard.
Sitting down beside her, he poured himself a glass of fruit wine.
"How was the wedding?" the Dragon Queen turned her head to ask him.
Fang Hao sighed, "Let's not talk about it, I was caught by the other three deities right after arriving."
