Chapter 11: The Roar in the Morning and Clash of Gigas
"Uuuuuuuuung,"
"Huh?" Rai woke up to a booming roar nearby. He immediately sat up on the ground and looked behind him. His eyes widened instantly, seeing a pair of feet like a little girl's and tentacles that were bigger than trees. He immediately transformed his legs into Raigan's legs and, "Hup!" he leaped upwards. He saw Kiko had already risen, her small, black, childlike body clearly visible as she shot upwards, looking incredibly, incredibly tall. He also noticed that the sun had risen. After that, he looked back at Kiko as he reached Kiko's head.
"Kiko!"
Rai shouted when he reached Kiko's face, which had no features except for a pair of red eyes. Kiko's hair moved like tentacles, and overall, Kiko looked like a black, small-girl-shaped squid. When she heard Rai call her, Kiko turned to look at Rai, who had jumped next to her, looking confused. Rai felt relieved that Kiko saw him and wasn't going wild, but suddenly Kiko turned to look towards the city. Her round eyes immediately narrowed, and she looked angry.
"Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuung!"
"Sreeeeeeek!" Kiko turned and floated towards the city. Rai, seeing this, wanted to reach for Kiko, but he fell back down.
"No, Kiko!" Rai yelled as he fell.
"Uuuuuuuuung!"
"They didn't kill us... stop it!" Rai yelled.
"Uuuuung!"
Kiko kept moving towards the city. "Crash... crunch!" Trees fell as her legs hit them. Rai immediately ran using his Raigan legs to catch up with Kiko.
"This is bad... really bad," Rai thought to himself.

Meanwhile, a short while before, in the city of Trierra, two guards were on top of the fortress, asleep, leaning against the wall.
"Uuuuuuuuuuuuung!"
"Huh... what?"
One guard woke up. He stood up and looked towards the forest. His eyes immediately widened as he saw a gigantic monster in the form of a girl with hair moving like snakes in the distance, standing tall in the forest.
"Hey... wake up... wake up! Quickly gather the troops... monster!" the panicked guard yelled.
"Huh... what's going on? It's still early," replied the other guard, still sitting, leaning against the wall.
"Wake UP! Look at that!" the panicked guard yelled.
The sleeping guard finally woke up and stood, then he turned to see Kiko standing motionless in the forest, looking massive from a distance. "Thud!" The guard immediately fell back down, eyes wide and mouth agape.
"Wh-what... what kind of monster is that?" stammered the newly awakened guard.
"Ring the bell! I'm going down to meet the commander, quickly!" the panicked guard yelled.
Without further delay, both guards immediately got to work. The freshly awakened guard immediately stood up and ran to the bell.
"Teng... teng... teng!"
"Teng... teng... teng!"
The guard enthusiastically rang the bell, continuously looking towards Kiko, who was still standing motionless in the forest. Meanwhile, the guard commander, who had already received the report, led many guards running up to the fortress. They were all stunned to see Kiko, who was much larger than the mountains even from afar, in front of them.
"Wh-what? What monster is that? I-I've never seen anything like it," the commander stammered.
"Gigas. So the legend is true."
The commander turned to see Saber standing behind him, looking at Kiko, who remained still.
"Gi-Gigas? That giant monster from the legend... it's real?" the commander asked.
"The proof is right in front of us," Saber replied calmly.
"H-how do we fight it?" the commander asked.
"Trisha is gathering the adventurers and treasure hunters. I hope it's not too late," Saber replied.
"Teng... teng... teng!"
Saber immediately turned to see the guard continuously ringing the bell, his face full of fear.
"Hey! Stop! Don't ring the bell anymore!" Saber yelled.
But it was too late. Kiko turned to look towards the city. "Uuuuuuuuuuuung!" Kiko's eyes immediately looked angry, and she slowly turned towards the city.
"A-aaaaaaa... it... it's coming!" the guard stammered, falling back down.
"You fools! Everyone, prepare your self!" Saber yelled, anxiously watching Kiko walk towards the city.
"Quickly... quickly!"
Adventurers, treasure hunters, and mages climbed onto the fortress and lined up along the edge. They were all stunned, seeing the massive Kiko, appearing to "float" through the forest towards the city. "Thud!" Some of them fell back down in fear.
"We... we're doomed," one adventurer muttered.
"H-how do we fight something like that?" another adventurer asked.
"Hey, don't give up! Mages and archers, get ready at the edge, quickly!" Saber yelled.
"Uuuuuuuuuuung!"
Kiko's roar echoed from a distance, clearly audible from the city fortress. Everyone who heard it immediately turned pale with fear. Some female adventurers and treasure hunters even cried. Saber stood on the edge, holding the wall, watching Kiko already starting to emerge from the forest. Then he turned to the commander.
"Hey, order the guards below to evacuate the citizens through the back gate, quickly! There's no more time!" Saber yelled.
"Y-yes, Guild Master," the commander replied.
Saber looked back at Kiko, who was walking towards the city and appeared angry. After that, he looked down. He saw Rai running and leaping, chasing Kiko.
"Who... is that?" Saber wondered to himself.
*******
"Stop, Kiko!" Rai yelled.
"Uuuuuuuuuung!"
"Ugh... what now?"
Rai continued to run alongside the massive, sprawling tentacles and Kiko, who was "walking" towards the city. Rai looked towards the lines of archers, mages, and guards on the fortress wall in the distance.
"Great... just great. The moment they attack Kiko, everything's over, because Kiko will definitely think they're enemies," Rai thought to himself, exasperated.
Rai thought hard while running, trying to figure out how to stop Kiko. Finally, he enlarged his legs and ran to catch up with Kiko, then he leaped high in front of her.
"Hope this works!"
Rai raised both his arms and transformed them into Raigan's arms, the original massive size. "Slam!" He immediately struck Kiko in front of him.
"Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuung!"
Kiko recoiled and stopped, her hand rising to hold her face. But after that, she looked angry and immediately attacked Rai, stabbing him with dozens of her huge tentacles. "Thunk!" Rai's body was pierced by one of the tentacles after he managed to dodge the others.
"Cough... Kiko... stop!" Rai yelled.
"Uuuuuuuuuuuung!"
Kiko continued moving towards the city while Rai fell to the ground. However, as he fell, Rai, looking at Kiko from behind, tried to raise his hand.
"Kiko... stop!"
Rai passed out, and something unexpected happened: a pillar of red light appeared.
"Groaaaaaaaaaaaaar!"
Kiko stopped and looked back. Then she turned to see the large red pillar behind her. Her head tilted, looking at the figure inside the red pillar. "Baduuum... baduuum!" Raigan stepped out of the red pillar of light. Kiko's eyes immediately widened again.
"Groaaaaaaaaaaar! (Kiko, stop! Don't attack them!)"
Raigan, who was slightly larger than Kiko, roared loudly. Kiko's eyes narrowed again.
"Uuuuuuuuuuuung! (Don't stop me, brother!)"
"Sreeeeet!" Kiko attacked Raigan using hundreds of her large tentacles and immediately coiled around Raigan's body.
"Groaaaaaaaaar!"
"Kraaaaaak!" Raigan broke free from the tentacles, and "baduuum... baduuum!" he ran forward and "braaaak!" the two giant monsters collided, grappling with each other. Saber, on the city wall, who saw two incomprehensibly giant monsters fighting, was stunned, eyes wide and mouth agape.
"T-there are two Gigas... oh no, goddess... what will happen to this world?" he muttered to himself.
