Eto narrowed her eyes slightly.

"Yes" Byakuya nodded.

In truth, he didn't know, but it would be easy to ask Arima for the information.

"Oh~" Eto now felt there was no way she wouldn't visit.

The night passed uneventfully.

Ward 1, CCG's Sunlit Garden

"We've made some progress regarding the investigation into Aogiri Tree and the One-Eyed Owl" Byakuya reported alongside Arima to Kaiko.

"Let's hear it" Kaiko responded immediately.

"We've identified that Aogiri Tree, led by the 'One-Eyed Owl,' is active in 24th Ward. I suspect the leader of the Clowns has also been recruited into Aogiri Tree" Byakuya confidently stated, spinning a plausible story.

"Then both of you should head to 24th Ward to pinpoint Aogiri Tree's exact location. If possible, capture the One-Eyed Owl" Kaiko ordered. "As for 4th Ward, it's just a group of riffraff now, no real threat"

"Understood. We'll head to 24th Ward tomorrow" Byakuya agreed.

Both he and Arima left their wills in the CCG archives before setting off the next day.

The Next Day

Byakuya and Arima entered 24th Ward together.

As they ventured deeper into the underground labyrinth, Byakuya asked, "Arima, your S rated quinque hasn't been completed yet, has it?"

"Not yet" Arima shook his head slightly.

"Then I'll lend you my Moonshadow and Wind Spirit. Just focus on keeping yourself safe here" Byakuya said, handing over a briefcase containing the two quinques.

Byakuya didn't need Arima to do much in 24th Ward — just his presence was sufficient.

"Hmm..." Arima understood Byakuya's intentions.

It was clear Byakuya had his own plans, and Arima's role was to act as a diversion, ensuring that V and the Washuu Clan believed both of them were occupied in 24th Ward.

Before parting, Byakuya explained his plan to attack Cochlea.

Arima raised no objections, trusting that Byakuya had sound reasons and a clear purpose. They then split up.

Byakuya donned his mask and outfit, binding himself to the identity of the One-Eyed King. With his transformation complete, Arima simply needed to patrol the underground labyrinth, ready to fend off any reckless ghouls.

At the base, some of Aogiri Tree's members, led by Eto, had been sent to 13rd Ward to divert CCG's attention. This included Tatara and Noro, who Eto originally wanted to leave with Byakuya for added protection.

However, Byakuya declined this plan, and she had no choice but to comply.

When the remaining members saw the One-Eyed King, they immediately kneeled, including new recruits who had been forewarned by veteran members.

"Let's move out..." Byakuya's voice was low as he led the ghouls out of 24th Ward and toward Cochlea in 23rd Ward.

Cochlea was located far from residential areas due to its status as a heavily guarded ghoul prison. Their march attracted no civilian attention.

At Cochlea's outermost defenses, Byakuya left the battle to the Aogiri Tree members accompanying him. His focus, however, was on Cochlea's uppermost entrance.

Activating his Mangekyo, a swirl of spatial distortion enveloped him, and he teleported to the facility's rooftop.

"Susano'o"

A massive blue ribcage surrounded Byakuya, forming two colossal arms that solidified like a ghoul's kagune under the influence of RC cells.

With immense force, the Susano'o arms began prying open Cochlea's fortified main gates.

BOOM—!!!

Inside Cochlea, CCG investigators were shocked as they looked up to see two gigantic blue hands tearing apart what was supposed to be an impenetrable gate.
