Genshin Impact: The Gambler of Teyvat

Chapter 180: Chapter 180: Lumine Discovers Yaoi?

Dehya casually waved a hand, her laid-back expression making it clear that this kind of situation was nothing new to her.

The corners of her lips lifted in a faint smirk tinged with disdain.

"No big deal, Miss Dunyarzad. Just the usual scuffles between mercenaries—baring fangs and throwing threats. The moment a real fight starts, those mutts show their true colors."

One of the men let out a cold snort, his face twisted in contempt.

"Hmph, after all this time, I bet your claws and fangs have long since rusted. Don't act so cocky!"

As soon as he finished speaking, he suddenly swung his arm. At the same time, the nearby grass rustled violently—and out sprang three fully armed members of the Eremites.

Facing the sudden reinforcement, Dehya narrowed her eyes slightly, unfazed. She calmly rolled her shoulder, then turned to Lumine beside her and said in a low voice:

"Traveler, leave this to me. You take Miss Dunyarzad and get out of here—now."

Paimon shook her head hard, clearly opposed to the idea. Her big round eyes blinked anxiously.

"No way! There are way too many of them! If you're all by yourself, there's no way you can take them on alone! We should stay and help—"

Before she could finish, Lumine gently tugged on the back of Paimon's little cloak.

With a serious expression, Lumine nodded.

"Paimon, this situation is unpredictable. No one can guarantee total safety. For Dehya, protecting her client is the top priority."

Paimon blinked and began rapidly calculating things in her head. After a brief pause, she finally nodded, puffing out her cheeks.

"Hmm… I guess you're right. Okay then, we'll go protect Dunyarzad."

Just as they were about to move, Dunyarzad suddenly turned back, worry etched across her face. She couldn't help but call out again:

"Dehya, please—be careful!"

At that moment, Dehya raised her arm without hesitation. With a flash of light, a massive, razor-sharp greatsword materialized in her hand.

She didn't even glance back. Instead, she shouted:

"Don't worry about me—focus on keeping yourselves safe! This is my job! Once I've dealt with this pack, I'll come find you!"

Before her words had fully faded, the sounds of intense combat and shouting erupted ahead.

Suddenly, a harsh coughing fit rang out through the space—"Cough… cough cough cough…"

The abrupt cough shattered the brief calm, tension immediately returning.

Midway through their escape, Dunyarzad clutched her chest and started coughing violently.

Lumine quickly stepped forward.

"Dunyarzad, are you alright? You look a little weak… Were you scared?"

Dunyarzad shook her head and took a moment to catch her breath.

"I'm fine… Just overexerted myself a little. My body's always been like this…"

"Whew… I'll be okay after a short rest. I'm more worried about Dehya. This is all because of my stubbornness…"

But Lumine didn't seem particularly worried.

"Don't worry. She's strong. Dehya only agreed to help because she believes in what you're doing."

"We've come far enough. Let's rest here for a bit."

Sure enough, before long, Dehya's voice rang out.

"Miss Dunyarzad, Traveler—you're here."

Paimon clapped her hands.

"Dehya, you're back already? That was fast~!"

Dehya remained alert.

"Any signs of more enemies nearby? Or did anyone follow you?"

Lumine shook his head.

"I checked—no one followed us."

At that moment, Dunyarzad noticed Dehya's arm, covered in countless scrapes and bruises.

"Dehya, your arm…"

Dehya glanced down at it, following Dunyarzad's gaze.

"Oh? This? It's really nothing—just a few scrapes. Honestly, with my skills, there's no way those guys could've landed a hit! It's just that this new greatsword I'm using isn't quite broken in yet."

She waved it off nonchalantly, as if it were barely worth mentioning.

But Dunyarzad wasn't having it. She stubbornly insisted, "No, please—let me take a look at it."

Faced with her earnest concern, Dehya looked helpless. She couldn't bring herself to refuse again. With a faint blush rising to her cheeks, she slowly extended her arm.

Lumine, watching from the side, stared at the two of them in growing fascination. Her gaze flicked back and forth between them.

For some reason, her nose began to tingle with a sudden rush of heat—like something was about to erupt.

And her face… had turned a rather suspicious shade of red, as if she'd just stumbled upon the gateway to an entirely new world, her mind bursting with strange and novel thoughts.

Muttering to herself, she said,

"So this is how girls get along with each other… Does that mean boys would be like this too…?"

Beside her, Paimon wore an expression full of dark lines, clearly baffled by Lumine's ridiculous grin and completely bizarre train of thought.

After a thorough inspection, Dunyarzad confirmed the injuries weren't serious.

"By the way, Dehya… about that new greatsword—what happened to the one you used before?"

"Ah… well… I was a bit short on Mora, so I had to sell it. These things happen from time to time…"

Dehya looked visibly embarrassed.

Dunyarzad stared straight into her eyes.

"Wait… Don't tell me—the source of that mysterious 'venue setup funding' from the last time… it was you?"

Her eyes welled up with tears.

Dehya immediately panicked.

"Ah, hey, Miss Dunyarzad, I didn't mean to make you cry! Does making the client cry mean I get docked pay?!"

Seeing Dehya flustered and at a total loss, Dunyarzad couldn't help but giggle through her tears.

"Pfft… Haha… No, crying won't get your pay docked. But selling your weapon and getting hurt for my sake… I will need to re-evaluate your performance~"

Dehya let out a long sigh of relief.

"Hahah… You're so unreasonable, Miss."
