Genshin Impact: Selling Pokemons in Teyvat

Chapter 35: Chapter 35

Grass!

At this moment, what filled Xiangling's vision was an endless expanse of grass.

The grass grew at a visible rate, covering the entire ground in just a few seconds.

In this critical moment, the Grassy Surge ability was maximized, spreading a thick layer of grass across the ground. The grass even encroached on the floodwaters, reclaiming the space.

Thwackey, sliding on the grass like a slide, moved at an incredible speed, dodging the Chi Beast's bite. It even managed to deliver a sliding kick to the Chi Beast's abdomen, shattering it into a puddle of water.

The azure blood that composed the Chi Beast fell to the ground but, unlike before, didn't revive. Instead, it was absorbed directly by the grass.

"It can completely kill those Chi Beasts!"

Keqing exclaimed in delight.

Meanwhile, Thwackey didn't stop. It continued to slide across the grassy terrain, which expanded outward from its body.

The Millelith, now within the grassy area, were pleasantly surprised to find that their arms, which had felt like lead, were now full of energy again.

Originally, Pokémon standing on grassy terrain would recover a certain amount of health each turn. Now, in Teyvat, this ability seemed to have changed. Any ally standing on the grassy terrain would gradually recover their stamina.

The Millelith, who had been on the verge of exhaustion, rallied once more and began to slaughter the Chi Beasts. This time, they made sure to spill the blue blood onto the grassy terrain.

The wriggling grass absorbed and decomposed the blood, turning it into nutrients and completely destroying the Chi Beasts.

The once-endless swarm of Chi Beasts quickly dwindled under the Millelith's renewed assault.

Seeing this, Keqing finally let out a sigh of relief and patted Xiangling's shoulder with a smile.

"Xiangling, you've been a huge help this time. If it weren't for you, I wouldn't have known what to do."

Xiangling scratched her head and smiled sheepishly. "It's not me, it's all Thwackey's doing. Pokémon are truly amazing."

Mentioning Pokémon, Xiangling's eyes lit up, and Keqing nodded in agreement.

The role of Pokémon in this war had been vividly demonstrated. Their effectiveness was on par with Vision holders, and Thwackey, in particular, had played an unparalleled role in this battle.

"Oh, right, Elekid!"

Suddenly, Keqing slapped her forehead and threw out another Poké Ball.

A yellow-and-black humanoid creature emerged from the Poké Ball with a look of resentment.

It was Elekid.

Earlier, Keqing had been worried about Elekid getting hurt on the battlefield, so she hadn't released it. Now that the situation was somewhat under control, there was no need to worry.

---

In the underground palace.

The air in the underground palace was so humid that it felt like you could squeeze water out of it.

The golden light was almost imperceptible.

The thick stone pillars, soaked in water, had swollen and now looked like a pile of mud, appearing even more fragile.

The evil beast sealed in the center of the stone pillars had grown a layer of skin everywhere except its head, which was now covered in fresh, red flesh.

It was just one step away from fully reviving.

Suddenly, the beast seemed to sense something. Its hollow eyes ignited with two will-o'-the-wisps, staring at a spot in the cave.

"Why has it changed to someone else?"

Where it was looking, a few snowflakes appeared out of thin air. In the next moment, the snowflakes expanded, forming a chaotic mass of Cryo energy.

Then, a twisted figure with rabbit ears and white fur materialized, floating in mid-air.

It was a Cryo Abyss Mage.

It bowed respectfully to the Chi.

"Respected Chi, the palace you inhabit is too vast for my companion. Its foolish Pyro energy would drown just by being near you."

The Cryo Abyss Mage's flattery seemed to excite the Chi. The will-o'-the-wisps in its eyes flickered a few times before it asked, "What about the surprise you mentioned? Did you bring it?"

The Abyss Mage remained reverent and slowly pulled out a sealed jar covered in black cloth. Whether it was an illusion or not, the moment the jar appeared, the Chi seemed to hear the sound of waves crashing against rocks.

"What is this?"

The Chi looked at the jar curiously. It could clearly sense the Hydro energy emanating from within.

The rich and pure Hydro energy seemed like something that, if absorbed, could easily break Morax's seal.

"Haha, it seems like a good thing. I like it!"

The Chi laughed heartily. It didn't know what was inside the jar, but the sheer concentration of Hydro energy suggested it was something valuable.

It seemed the Abyss Order wasn't completely useless after all.

The Chi thought gleefully. At this moment, it felt as if it could see how weak Morax had become through this fragile seal.

Once it absorbed the contents of the jar, it could destroy the seal, summon the tides to flood Liyue, and bury that bastard Morax beneath the sea!

The thought of defeating the God of War filled the Chi with uncontrollable excitement.

"Give me this surprise quickly! Oh, and tell me, what exactly is inside?"

The Chi laughed as it asked.

At this moment, the Cryo Abyss Mage's lips curled into a cold smile, and its gaze toward the Chi was filled with mockery.

It abruptly pulled off the black cloth covering the jar, and the Chi's laughter stopped abruptly. Its body began to tremble uncontrollably.

Inside the jar was a bottle of colorless water. As a Hydro creature, the Chi could tell it was seawater.

But that wasn't the most important part. The most important part was what was floating in the water.

It was an eye! An eye that was still moving! It was alive!

The Chi sensed a deadly threat from this eye, as if it had encountered its superior in every way.

The eye rotated a few times before its gaze settled on the Chi.

The Chi could clearly feel a scrutinizing gaze from the eye.

"Is this the new vessel you've found for me? How pitiful."

The eye seemed disappointed, speaking in a low voice. Who knew how an eye could even talk?

Hearing the eye's words, the Chi's eyes widened in terror.

"What the hell is that thing?!"

"As you can see, respected Chi, this is an eye. An eye… of the Overlord of the Vortex, Osial!"

The Cryo Abyss Mage raised the jar, its eyes filled with excitement.

Hearing this, the Chi's mind went blank, as if it had been struck by a sledgehammer.
