Chapter 64: Chapter 64 Dragon Domination
Syndor fluttered its wings, powerful air currents sweeping in all directions as its mighty form soared over the sea.
The people on Bloodstone Island looked up at the majestic dragon, their screams of awe echoing across the island.
Gavin's destination this time was Dragon Flame Bay. In the past, traveling by ship would take an entire day. Now, riding Syndor, the journey was accomplished in less than half a day.
From high above, Dragon Flame Bay resembled a long claw, its curved edges forming a vast natural deep-water port. Five large shipyards were actively operating at the port, with countless ships under construction.
The hammering of tools and the sawing of wood filled the air as craftsmen bustled about, their tireless efforts revealing the burgeoning vitality of this land.
As the golden dragon descended, its massive shadow cast over the bay, halting all activity. This was the first time most had seen the giant dragon with their own eyes. Workers stopped in their tracks, staring in awe. Children pointed with excitement, while adults looked on in reverent silence.
Syndor landed behind the docks, stirring up clouds of dust. Gavin dismounted and was quickly met by Vika, who had rushed over after hearing the commotion.
Vika's eyes widened in disbelief as she stammered, "M-My Lord... Even though I was informed, seeing Syndor with my own eyes is beyond words!"
Gavin laughed heartily. "You'll get used to it soon enough," he assured. "Syndor will be making its home here from now on."
He then asked, "Vika, how is the progress on building the sail warships?"
Vika hesitated for a moment, gathering her thoughts, then replied, "Sir, due to the increasing proficiency of the shipbuilding techniques, each dock can now complete a sail warship in eight months. Five docks are operating simultaneously, which is quite efficient. The only issue is that we're running low on the massive wood needed for the keels."
Gavin nodded. "I've already had Boris announce the news of our timber acquisition," he said.
Vika quickly responded, "Sir, acquiring such large timber is not easy. I overheard a merchant mention that there are enormous trees beyond the Great Wall in the north. The merchant obtained timber there through trade with the wildlings. We could strike a deal to acquire it by trading food, weapons, and warm clothing. With a bit of processing, we could haul the timber back on ships."
Gavin smiled slightly. "That's a good plan. I'll be heading to Braavos soon. In the meantime, prepare the fleet and have them head north to trade with the wildlings for the giant trees."
He then asked, "What is the current development status of Dragon Flame Bay?"
Vika responded confidently, "Sir, the population of Dragon Flame Bay has grown to over 5,000, and we've cultivated about a third of the island's land."
Gavin nodded thoughtfully. "Good. For now, stop the inland development. Has the Blood Dragon Guard been deployed?"
Vika answered quickly, "Yes, Sir, the Blood Dragon Guard set out yesterday."
Gavin smiled with satisfaction. "Good, you're doing well. Continue with the shipbuilding progress."
Vika bowed deeply. "Don't worry, Sir, I'll ensure everything is properly arranged."
Gavin turned his gaze to the dragon lair where he planned to place the dragon eggs.
Syndor understood his intentions and lowered its body, allowing Gavin to climb onto the specially crafted saddle. With a powerful leap, Syndor soared into the sky.
As they flew through the clouds, Gavin directed Syndor to the dragon lair he had prepared. Upon arrival, the twenty Blood Dragon Guards, stationed at the lair, stood ready, and eleven iron round boxes lay waiting nearby.
Gavin dismounted and walked to the boxes. Opening one, he revealed the precious dragon egg he had obtained earlier.
Following the instructions on the ancient stone tablet, Gavin spread the dragon crystals he had purchased on the ground and carefully placed the dragon egg on top. As he slowly infused the crystals with magic, they began to glow. The temperature in the air rose, and Gavin soon found himself drenched in sweat.
This method of creating a high-temperature environment for the dragon egg was incredibly taxing on his magical energy. Gavin gritted his teeth, fighting through the exhaustion as he continued.
Once the task was complete, Gavin staggered to a nearby seat, his energy drained. He opened his system panel to check his progress.

Gavin sat back, reflecting on the panel. He realized that while Syndor could be added to his control, the dragon egg was a more surprising development. When Gavin had accidentally infused his magic into the egg during their return journey, it had become a part of his control as well.
He examined the energy points required to hatch the egg—50 points. To upgrade Syndor, it would cost 100 points, nearly exceeding the total energy he could gather at present.
Gavin sighed, contemplating his next move. He had hoped to hatch the dragon egg soon, but his energy reserves were insufficient. Perhaps after visiting Braavos, he could figure out how to save some energy points. Petyr, too, might provide a solution for acquiring more dragon bones.
The dragon bones from Belleris' family were especially valuable. Gavin believed that after absorbing them, he would be able to gain enough energy to upgrade Syndor.
After taking a moment to rest, Gavin called out to Syndor in his mind and ordered the twenty Blood Dragon Guards to remain in place and protect the dragon eggs.
A deep roar echoed from the cave as Syndor took flight, and Gavin followed closely behind.
