Chapter 111: ch-108

The arrival of Liberty City players escalated the battle to a fever pitch. With Los Santos players digesting the initial supply drops, humanity's forces were finally able to counterattack.

Dominic stood atop a high tower, his sharp gaze observing the shifting tides below. The once-unstoppable black tide of infected now visibly receded, their advance halted. The leaderboard on the platform reflected this newfound momentum, with points soaring rapidly.

[Announcement: The second batch of supplies will arrive soon.]

The notification invigorated the players, who were still locked in relentless combat with infected bodies and the alien invaders.

Boom!!!

A blinding electromagnetic cannon blast streaked through the dark streets, annihilating infected bodies in its path as if they were mere shadows.

At the source of the blast stood a towering Khanjali Tank Transformer, the arcs of its massive electromagnetic cannon still crackling with residual energy.

"Ha!" Suddenly, a dark red alien leapt from the shadows, landing squarely on the Transformer's arm.

"Get off me, bug!" Dominic growled from within the machine, attempting to shake the creature loose. Its limbs, however, clung stubbornly to the mechanical joints, defying every effort to dislodge it.

Buzz!

An atomic arc wave detonated in the air. The alien screamed as the blast flung it away, crashing onto the ground.

Da-da-da-da-da!

The Transformer unleashed a barrage of machine-gun fire, riddling the alien with bullets until it was reduced to a pile of shredded remains.

On the Transformer's shoulder, Harry stood with his atomic rifle raised, scanning the area warily. Though the Khanjali Transformer was a juggernaut on the battlefield, the lurking aliens in the shadows were unpredictable and dangerous.

Suddenly, Harry winced, glancing down at his arm. A blood-red mark crawled across his skin, surrounded by a dark silicon-like substance.

"We need the virus serum—quickly!"

Harry recalled the moment he had been ambushed in an alley. If Dominic hadn't intervened in time, he would've been dragged into the darkness.

Just then, the aliens on the ground stirred and began to retreat. Dominic activated a makeshift ultraviolet emitter, but the aliens remained unfazed, their glowing eyes locking defiantly on the purple light before vanishing into the shadows.

"What the hell? It's useless now?" Dominic muttered, inspecting the emitter.

"It must've been an elite alien," Harry speculated, noting the creature's dark silicon armor. "Forget about it for now. The Los Santos players got the first batch of supplies. They're bound to have the serum."

Dominic nodded. "Then we head to the North District—the origin point of this whole disaster."

[Announcement: The second wave of supplies will be released soon.]

As Harry's phone buzzed with the alert, the night sky lit up with the lights of three descending transport planes. Like a rain of hope, airdrop crates fell across the city, each one glowing with signal markers.

Unlike the first wave, limited to part of the North District, this time the supplies were scattered across the entire city.

Players with aerial vehicles scrambled to intercept the airdrops, creating a chaotic battlefield in the skies. Missiles streaked through the air, striking down the more ambitious players.

Dominic raised the Khanjali's cannon, a silent warning for others to behave, and scanned the scene.

Meanwhile, a crate landed near Harry, marked with yellow smoke. "Finally, some luck!" Harry exclaimed as Dominic placed him near the airdrop.

"Khan, keep an eye out. Don't let anyone get close," Dominic instructed.

Harry pried open the crate to reveal a treasure trove of supplies:

[Purple Light Enhancer]

[Hemolytic Gun Set]

[Firearm Skill Chip]

[Virus Serum]

[Explosive Bullets x36]

[MK2 Heavy Revolver]

Without hesitation, Harry injected the serum into his arm. The infection disappeared instantly, leaving him with a sense of relief. He took a moment to review the remaining supplies, particularly the Hemolytic Gun Set, which included a transmitter and 10 vials of hemolytic agent capable of neutralizing regenerative factors.

Elsewhere, Dominic regrouped with Stark and the team.

"The situation is under control for now," Stark reported, projecting a map of the North District. "The alien nest must be somewhere in this area."

He pointed to the outskirts of the city. "The Hollywood Hills are the most likely location. I'll take the western mountains. Dominic, you handle the south. Rhodes, head east."

"Let us know the moment you find anything. This is no time for heroics," Stark said pointedly, directing his last comment at Dominic.

Dominic smirked. "Got it. Let's finish this."
