Chapter 56: One vs one fight
As I surveyed the arena, I noticed the 21 remaining participants from the seven teams that had successfully passed the second part of the Chunin Exams. The atmosphere was charged with excitement and anticipation. Shinobis from various villages, including the Sand, Leaf, and even some from the Mist, gathered in the stands, eager to witness the battles.
Hiruzen is also present here and I think he already about Orochimaru's arrival in the exam.
As Hiruzen stepped forward, the atmosphere shifted. His presence commanded respect, and everyone quieted down, eager to hear what the Third Hokage had to say. With a warm smile, he addressed us, "Congratulations to all of you who have made it through the second part of the Chunin Exams. It takes a great deal of strength, strategy, and teamwork to reach this stage, and I am proud of each and every one of you."
His words resonated with us, and we felt a swell of pride not just for ourself but for our teammates and all the others who had fought hard to get here except for me anyway I could see how good this fellow is in attracting others into his own selfish plans. Hiruzen continued, "As you know, the final part of the exams will be a test of your individual abilities. It is a chance for you to showcase what you have learned, not only as shinobi but as individuals. Remember to fight honorably and respect your opponents."
With that, he turned his attention to the matches ahead. "Now, let's proceed with the battles. As you face your opponents, remember the bonds you've formed and the lessons you've learned. They will guide you through. And no matter the outcome, this experience will make you stronger."
Once Hiruzen finished, Anko took over, ready to guide us through the next phase. "Now, for the final matchups! Each match will be held one at a time. After the battles, the victor will proceed to the next round until we have our champions."
Hayate Gekko, the proctor for the preliminary rounds, stepped forward and cleared his throat, bringing the attention back to him. "Since we have 21 participants, we'll have to structure the matches carefully. The first round will consist of 10 matches, with one participant receiving a bye for the first round. The winners of each match will continue to the next round, while the remaining shinobi will be eliminated from the competition."
As Kabuto stepped forward and announced his withdrawal, a murmur spread through the room. It was unexpected; his departure would affect the overall dynamics of the competition. "Are you sure about this, Kabuto?" Hayate Gekko asked, raising an eyebrow. "You might regret this decision once the fights begin."
Kabuto adjusted his glasses and nodded, a sly smile playing on his lips. "I believe I have proven enough of my abilities in the earlier stages. Besides, I have other matters to attend to." With that, he walked off to the side, leaving behind a mix of confusion and curiosit
As Kabuto stepped back from the group, I noticed a few glances exchanged among the other participants. Some looked relieved, while others appeared more curious about his sudden withdrawal. His decision to quit left 20 of us remaining for the preliminary matches.
Hayate Gekko cleared his throat, bringing the focus back to the task at hand. "With Kabuto's exit, we now have 20 participants. We'll still hold the preliminary rounds, which will consist of a series of one-on-one matches. The winner of each match will proceed to the final round, where all remaining competitors will face off."
As Hayate Gekko explained the process, the atmosphere in the tower grew tense with anticipation. The excitement was palpable as everyone began to prepare for the matches. I noticed the various teams, each one sizing up their potential opponents and strategizing their next moves.
"Now, please draw your chits to see who your opponents will be," Hayate instructed. One by one, shinobis stepped up to the front to pick their chits from the box.
Everyone started to pick the chits. Then matchs were announced in this order.
Shikamaru Nara vs Ino Yamanaka
Zaku Abumi vs Kiba Inazuka
Tenten vs Kin Tsuchi
Naruto Uzumaki vs Shino Aburame
Sasuke Uchiha vs Choji Akimichi
Rock Lee vs Yoroi Akadō
Neji Hyuga vs Misumi Tsurugi
Kankurō vs Dosu Kinuta
Sakura Haruno vs Hinata Hyuga

(A/N:These order were formed while the chits were picken manually)
As the matches were announced, I mentally prepared for my fight against Shino, the fourth in the lineup. I knew he was a formidable opponent, with his mastery over the insect-based techniques passed down through his clan. His calm and analytical demeanor always made him a challenging adversary.
