From Douluo Dalu Angel Becomes God Almighty of LOTM

Chapter 18: Chapter 17: A year passed

"Hehe... Hehehe..." Qian Renxue chuckled softly, her voice echoing faintly within the quiet corridors of the Spirit Hall Library. Her delicate fingers brushed the worn spine of 10 Great Core Spirit Competencies before sliding the book back into its place. The amusement in her eyes gradually faded, replaced by calm indifference.

"So this is what grants someone the title of 'Master'?" she whispered mockingly. "How pathetic."

She had long seen through the illusion. The so-called respect Yu Xiaogang enjoyed was largely built upon a foundation of ignorance, inflated not by true spirit masters but by clueless civilian cultivators who clung to easy 'truths' packaged as genius. Senior spirit masters, who were the true powerhouses ,treated him with thinly veiled disdain, if they bothered acknowledging him at all. No wonder she found inconsistencies in nearly every line of his theories.

"So this is the so-called genius of the Douluo Continent," she murmured. "A theory written by a weakling, propped up by a pope in future, and glorified by fools."

In the future of original story, he was famous because he might have the secret support of Bibi Dong. After all his memories was the only pure love in Bibi Dong's mind. The same woman who sent her daughter, Qian Renxue away to participate in an espionage mission and almost destroyed her daughter's true potential.

'Not that it matters to me any more....'

Qian Renxue let out a silent breath and turned her gaze to the high arched window. The sun was setting, drenching the sky in hues of crimson and gold. Her golden eyes, clear and unshaken, reflected that light like twin flames.

Emotionless, composed, cold.

From the next day onward, she returned to the library without fail. Day after day, she devoured books on spirit theory, spirit beasts, noble families, the history of the continent, cultivation techniques.

...

One year later.

Morning light filtered through the silk curtains of her room, warm and gentle, falling across the pale face of the sleeping girl. As the light reached her closed eyes, Qian Renxue stirred. With a tired breath, she lifted a slender hand to shield herself, but then slowly let it fall, revealing her face.

Her skin was porcelain-fair, smooth and cold like untouched snow, but her beauty was marred today. There were faint, dusky shadows beneath her eyes, subtle yet unmistakable dark circles. Her usually sharp golden irises seemed slightly dulled, rimmed with fatigue.

"Again… those murmurs."

She sat up, rubbing her temple. Her eyes instinctively turned inward, toward her spirit sea, and there it was: the ancient, unmoving ice and fire seal -silent, indifferent, yet oppressive. It sat like an immovable mountain within her, a fragment of the Almighty's power, sealed but not erased. And every once in a while… a sliver would slip. Seemingly trying to corrupt her and also to disturb her dreams.

Nightmares of distant whispers, of eyes watching from behind the void, of truths too vast for her young mind to comprehend.

Her gaze shifted inward once more—to another corner of her spirit sea. A faint gray silhouette lingered in a cocoon of mist and soul fragments, Electrolux. He had not spoken a single word to her since he fell into hibernation after anchoring his soul in her spirit sea. Only silence remained in this place.

She exhaled, and with practiced ease, pushed the fear and mystery to the back of her mind. "Anyway , this isn't the first time," she whispered.

With a light ring, she summoned a maid and requested a basin of ice-cold water.

"Wu Meng bring me a basin of cold water."

The maid bowed " As you wish."

She left the room and after sometime brought back a basin filled with cold water.

The moment it arrived, she dipped her hands into the freezing water and splashed it over her face. A shiver passed through her, but it had cleared her mind.

Looking into the mirror, she finally took herself in. The girl looking back at her had changed in more ways than one.

Her golden-blonde hair fell smoothly to her shoulders, softly glimmering under the light. Long lashes framed her sharp, alert eyes, the eyes that seemed older than her body allowed. Her once soft expression had now been etched with the faintest hints of austerity. The childish roundness of her cheeks had thinned slightly, and there was a quiet, intimidating grace in the way she stood. Her lips were delicate, but rarely curved, except it did today.

A smile tugged at the corners of her lips.

Because today was the day, the most important day for any child in Douluo Continent.

Today is the day for her, martial soul awakening. Today is her Birthday and she is 6 years old

This will be her first step toward true power in this world. Toward preparing herself for the storm she knew would one day come.

Qian Renxue skipped lightly through the palace corridor, her golden hair bouncing with every step. For the first time in a long while, there were no heavy thoughts on her mind, only the joy and anticipation of this long-awaited moment.
