For The Purpose Anything is Undertaken

Chapter 6: Lots Puzzles

A large stone door blocked their path. On that door were different runes. As they stood in the room, a small podium emerged from the ground.

Each point is connected by a line to form a specific pattern.

"Huh? Complete rune patterns to open paths. Punishment applies if it is not appropriate," Manda muttered.

"The punishment is unpredictable. I think there's some bad magic at some point," Kato said, furrowing his eyebrows.

"The effect will be crippling? I think, the magic here is not strong, but it is very threatening," said Manda.

Kato shook his head. "Even so..."

Kato hesitated to continue the sentence as Masha confidently approached the podium. She calmly said, "Don't worry, matching the runes just needs the order."

"I helped. How to do it?"

"No need."

"Alright."

Masha touched the podium and stepped onto the runes. "Look. These floor runes formed a pattern. Maybe a hint of combination," she said, staring at one of them that was brightly lit.

However, the flowing hourglass disturbed the tranquility.

"First: analyze."

Masha moved the runes on the relevant floor. This circle is the one that leads and is similar to the podium stone.

Masha glanced at the wall. "I saw it."

The first stone of the curved line. The second stone is in the shape of an arrow. The last is in the shape of a triangle.

Masha arranged according to the instructions. However, before laying the final stone, the podium shook.

She didn't panic. She put a stone.

Instantly the vibration stopped on its own, and the runes shot towards the wall forming stars and shining.

Masha sighed. Slowly a door opened. "The first exam is over."

"Wow, great sister!" said Manda excitedly.

Meanwhile, Kato looked at the hourglass. "The time that Masha-sama uses is also fairly fast."

"Do what you want to do," Masha replied, entering the hallway. "Let's continue."

In the next test, scales with large plates on both sides. Various objects are neatly arranged, such as: balls, crystals, to strangely shaped objects.

Without thinking, Kato stepped closer. "Basic carving."

Kato squatted down to check. "There are runes too? I think it's not just about physical weight."

Kato picked up one of the metal balls, and looked at the wall behind. "Ensuring the load on both sides equally? Hm, a little more complicated than it looks."

Kato looked at the floor, where there was a mechanism in the form of sharp metal. "This trap will activate if you make a wrong step."

Kato worked carefully. He took out a crystal with a shattered shape. In addition, he also picked up a triangular-shaped stone.

Then, he puts the things on the plate, and waits. The scale moves slowly to one side.

"This is it? It feels less," he said, and then, Kato took another object. "This..." He continued, putting the object on the right side.

When the object is placed, the scale slowly balances its weight.

The door opens to the next exam.

"It seems to be finished."

"A meaningless trap," said Masha.

"That's right, but a reckless attitude can harm him."

"That is, you make the right decisions."

Kato bowed slightly respectfully. He thinks this is a compliment. "Thank you."

Manda lightened the atmosphere with her little smile. "Hehe, I'm looking forward to the next challenge. Is it dangerous or not?"

"Hopefully the best. Without wasting time, let's go right away."

"Yeah."

In the spacious room, there are five pillars lined up with each color. Also, above the pillar it reads: Activate the correct order or face the wrath of nature.

"I thought the element in question was our magic element, but it wasn't," Kato said on the wrong assumption.

"Huh? It seems that we just solve each challenge without fighting, huh?" asked Manda.

"Maybe almost or all of them are puzzles," Masha replied.

Her face was disappointed, but Manda couldn't change the rules. "Boring."

"It looks like we're here going to understand the elements," Kato said, approaching the red pillar that lit up to the left.

Manda observed the blue pillar. "This too, but in the right direction."

Kato walked to the middle of the room and noticed all the pillars. "Elements that support and oppose. I feel like a cycle."

Fire strengthens the air, air moves water, water gives life to the soil, and the soil controls darkness.

"The elements will strike when they are out of order," Kato thought inwardly. "Masha-sama, Manda-sama, I need your help," he continued to shout slightly.

They started moving.

Kato touched the fire symbol.

Masha harmonizes the air symbol with fire, and follows Manda on the blue pillar.

Then, the green pillar was touched by Kato to make a shift. Finally, the black pillar was touched by Manda.

Seeing the crack after it lit up, they took the initiative to move away.

The crack simply creates a great rumble without destruction.

A door appeared suddenly. They are faced with one front and one back door.

"We're going through the front door," Kato said, despite his doubts.

"Is one of them trapped?" asked Manda.

"It's possible, but trust me with my choice."

"Don't hesitate. We believe in you," Manda replied.

Kato nodded. He led the path that had just opened.

Next. Being in a room with a square-shaped floor like a chessboard.

Kato watched the floor carefully. He tested a single box using his piercing sword. "Danger."

Manda narrowed her eyes towards the wall. "Look, there's a clue!"

In a given order, the shapes of circles, straight lines, triangles and stars are where they will step on the corresponding square.

After observing for a while, Kato had a plan. "I see. I understand."

"What is it?"

"Sorry, my strategy will sound underestimated, but one of us stepped first," Kato explained.

"Do it."

"Okay. Listen-"

Before Kato finished the sentence, Manda cut off the speech while stepping on a box.

Manda chuckled. "Hehe, I'm first," she said, jumping quickly to another box.

It's fine. The clues are different. "There is only one order?"

Knowing this, Kato shouted at Manda. "Manda-sama, can you shoot all the boxes? Here the clues are disappearing more and more!"

There was no reply, but the pull of the trigger was clearly heard.

Without asking, Kato immediately held Masha in a princess style. Even so, Masha did not complain or be embarrassed in the slightest.

"Maybe if you take turns it will be more difficult to pass this board box," said Kato, in the last step.

"It's really shocking," Masha replied.

"I'm sorry," Kato said, letting Masha off the sling.

"It doesn't matter, the important thing is that we finish quickly and continue the final exam."

"I want to do that, but sister, look here. Isn't this the engraving code?" asked Manda, pointing to the runes attached to the door.

"Looks like engraved codes are just an added challenge? Too easy to crack from the clues of the floored pattern,"

"I'll try."

Kato confidently touched the door. In order: circles, triangles, straight lines and stars.

Simbol-simbol itu bersinar. Pintu terbuka dengan suara berat.

"Wow, it worked. I thought the runes would be random," Manda was shocked.

"Actually, I follow my hunch without thinking twice."

"Luckily your hunch was right."

Then.

"Welcome and congratulations. You have reached Domatio~."

As they breathed a sigh of relief, a mysterious voice rang out. The weak female voice congratulated and welcomed them.

"Who are you?!" shouted Kato.
