Floating Island - Triple S Talent

Chapter 387: Grand event day

Morning at Lein's residence.

In a simple yet elegant room, Lein woke up slowly. The morning sunlight seeped through the curtains, gently illuminating the space. He sat on the edge of his bed and stretched his body.

"Ahhh..." Lein yawned while rolling his shoulders, feeling his joints loosen after a restful night. Continue your saga on empire

Rising from his bed, Lein walked to the mirror hanging on the wall. The face reflected back was that of a grown man with clear and well-maintained skin. He touched his cheek for a moment, noticing something different.

"My skin is this bright?" he muttered with a hint of confusion. He recalled that his skin used to be darker from frequent exposure to the sun.

But he simply gave a small smile. "Well, that's good..." he said lightly, not thinking too much about it. To him, the continuous growth of his powers might have brought positive effects on his body.

Lein glanced at the watch on his wrist; the short hand pointed to 5:15 AM. "After a shower, I'll leave with Nita," he said, walking toward the bathroom. His steps were calm, but his mind was already planning the day's tasks.

Meanwhile, in the kitchen, Nita was busy like a professional chef. Her right hand held a spatula, stirring soup in a large pot, while her left hand held a piece of paper full of notes.

"Stir evenly... make sure to rotate the center, occasionally adding salt," she murmured softly, her eyes remaining focused on the boiling soup in front of her.

The sound of running water came from the bathroom. Nita looked up briefly, hearing the noise. "It seems like Brother is awake," she said, glancing at the wall clock. Her face showed a hint of urgency.

"I need to hurry," she said. She moved to another stove, checking a pot where meat was boiling. With a fork in hand, Nita picked up a piece of meat and carefully pierced it with a small needle to check its doneness.

"Looks like it's cooked," she muttered with relief. Without hesitation, she began lifting the meat piece by piece from the pot, drying it before transferring it to a plate.

Her movements were quick but precise. Every time she completed a step, she crossed an item off her checklist. Nita ensured everything was going according to the plan she had prepared.

For the next fifteen minutes, Nita worked nonstop. Finally, she finished everything. On the kitchen counter, at least seven different dishes were neatly arranged. The delicious aroma of cooking filled the room, creating a warm, homely atmosphere.

She picked up her paper again, checking the list one last time. In a soft voice, she read out the items one by one.

"Soup done, check."

"Rice done, check."

"Soy sauce beef, done."

"Ginger tea, done..."

She continued reading until the end of the list, finding no mistakes. A relieved smile appeared on her face. "Yay, all done! I'll serve it first, then take a shower," she said with a satisfied grin.

Nita carefully moved the dishes to the dining table. One by one, the plates were neatly arranged on the table, each dish looking both appetizing and made with care. The once-busy kitchen shifted into calmness, leaving behind the warm aroma of freshly cooked meals.

The two siblings spent their morning like any ordinary family—waking up, cooking, showering, and eating breakfast. The only notable difference was the quietness of the house, as it was just the two of them. Quiet, yet warm.

After about twenty minutes, Lein finally emerged from his room. His hair was still half-damp, and his face looked fresh with a calm aura. In the dining room, Nita was already standing neatly, dressed simply but looking as cheerful as ever. "Brother, let's eat!" she called out with a bright smile that was hard to ignore.

Lein walked toward the dining table, inhaling the aroma of the freshly served dishes. "Hmm... it smells amazing," he complimented as he took a seat. He looked over the dining table, now laden with food. The meals not only looked delicious but also seemed to have been made with great care.

"You're getting better and better. Thank you," Lein said sincerely, looking at his sister with pride. In his heart, he realized how quickly Nita was growing up. The little girl who used to whine often was now maturing, capable of managing many things like a homemaker.

"You're welcome, hehe," Nita replied with a wide smile, showing her clean, even teeth. There was a note of satisfaction in her voice, clearly happy to receive Lein's praise.

Seeing Nita's wide grin and the joyful expression on her face, Lein couldn't help but smile. "How silly," he thought, shaking his head slightly. For a moment, the image of their mother crossed his mind. It was as if her spirit lived on in Nita—cheerful, caring, and full of energy.

"Alright, let's eat," Lein finally said.

"Enjoy your meal," Nita replied cheerfully.

They began enjoying the food. Light conversation accompanied the sound of clinking utensils. Their topics ranged from the latest developments in the Heavenly Sky Realm to small, interesting stories. Even so, the atmosphere remained relaxed and warm.

During breakfast, Lein looked at Nita with curiosity. "How about your ability? Have you figured it out yet?" he asked. Lein recalled Nita's explanation about her talent requiring good deed points to activate. Until now, they had never tested it directly.

"Oh, yes!" Nita exclaimed enthusiastically. "Over the past month, I've gathered four thousand good deed points," she continued proudly. However, her smile faded slightly as she added, "But I haven't used any points yet because you've been busy."

Lein nodded thoughtfully. "How about we try it after breakfast?" he suggested.

"Sure, let's do it!" Nita replied, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

Their conversation continued as they ate, eventually shifting to the day's carnival event. Nita reminded him that all preparations had been completed, as informed by Hana. "Sister Hana said everything is ready. We're just waiting for Mr. Aleron and the others to arrive," Nita said, recalling the announcement.
