Chapter 325: Training
Nita recited the oath of the alliance with a loud and confident voice, ensuring every word was etched into the minds of the new members. The oath was designed to instill love and responsibility towards the World Market Trade Alliance. Initially, this tradition did not exist, but as the alliance grew, some wise figures suggested the necessity of such a doctrine. They believed this oath was not merely a formality but a foundation for building true loyalty.
While Nita delivered the oath with full conviction, she still kept her evaluations in mind. She pondered how much this tradition truly contributed to the alliance's progress. If she saw great benefits, Lein's opinion would undoubtedly be the final determinant before it became a permanent tradition. As the leader, Lein always had a far-sighted perspective, and his opinion was never disregarded.
"Finished," Nita declared, her smile widening with joy as she gazed at Joy and Grace. Her voice echoed through the hall filled with attendees.
"From today, you two are officially the 11th and 12th core members of the World Market Trade Alliance." There was a tone of pride in her voice, as if she was welcoming new hopes to strengthen the alliance.
"Thank you, Princess," said Joy and Grace almost simultaneously.
Their voices were filled with respect, yet they couldn't hide the pride evident in their tones. They bowed their heads as a sign of respect, but their eyes sparkled with newfound enthusiasm.
As Nita finished speaking, a thunderous applause filled the room. The cheers of the attendees created an atmosphere of celebration that was hard to describe in words. Everyone felt proud and relieved, knowing that with the addition of new core members, the alliance's strength and security grew even stronger. Each core member was known for their extraordinary abilities, pillars that ensured the alliance's sustainability and safety.
Gracefully, Nita stepped down from the center stage, concluding her part in the induction ceremony. Joy and Grace, their smiles barely concealed, followed her steps. Both were still feeling the euphoria, proud to have passed the tests and now officially part of the alliance's core.
"Let's give them another round of applause!" the moderator shouted loudly, adding to the lively atmosphere.
The attendees responded with louder cheers and applause, some even rising from their seats. The fact that the alliance's core members now numbered twelve filled them with a pride that was hard to express. The name World Market Trade grew stronger, becoming a symbol of power feared by many.
The World Market Trade Alliance was more than just a name. It was a symbol of strength and authority, an entity that made anyone who heard it feel intimidated. With Lein as the leader—a Guardian of Nature—this name became a real threat to their enemies and a beacon of hope for humanity.
"Congratulations to Mr. Joy and Miss Grace… may success always accompany you," the moderator continued, filling the time with words of congratulations and well wishes.
He ensured the atmosphere remained under control and the event proceeded smoothly without interruption.
Meanwhile, Lein, Nita, and the other core members had returned to their seats. They sat quietly, observing the ceremony that was still ongoing. Though the event was not yet over, there was a sense of relief on their faces, especially after the successful induction.
Far above a majestic mountain stood a small gazebo firmly rooted on lush green grass. Around it, the mountain breeze blew gently, carrying the natural aroma of leaves and wildflowers growing along the slopes. Inside the gazebo, a young man was engrossed in playing with transparent bubbles that floated slowly before him, glistening under the sunlight. Stay updated via empire
"Like this..." Lein murmured, moving his hand as if sculpting the air.
But he frowned, feeling dissatisfied with the result. "No, how about this?" he continued, trying to reshape the bubble with dream energy flowing from his body.
Every time he created something—a small mountain, a large rock, or even a fireball—he would pause to observe the result. His expression shifted constantly, sometimes smiling faintly with hope, sometimes sighing with furrowed brows. If unsatisfied, he would immediately erase the shape and start over, seeking the perfection he desired.
The practice was not as easy as it seemed. Shaping realistic dreams proved to be much harder than he imagined. Lein felt like a painter struggling to create a masterpiece on canvas. He knew the more realistic and detailed the dream he created, the greater its power to influence enemies on the battlefield.
Over the past few days, Lein had spent much time in his dream realm. It was his private space, the best result of dreams he had ever created. He chose this mountain for its beauty—a garden full of colorful flowers, a valley towering in the distance, and a breathtaking sunrise view. These were things he had never enjoyed in his previous life on Earth.
Back then, his days were spent in front of a computer screen, typing endless reports until his fingers felt stiff. The monotony of work made him feel exhausted and constrained. Now, within the bubble of his dream creation, Lein found freedom to create anything he desired, reflecting unfulfilled wishes.
"Beautiful... truly beautiful," Lein murmured with a small smile, his eyes sparkling.
He had just created a prototype of a mesmerizing beach. Its seawater shimmered with shades of blue and green, the breeze carried the fresh scent of sea salt. In the distance, coconut trees swayed in the wind, while the soft white sand stretched wide, adorned with footprints of small creatures wandering fearlessly. Sunlight beamed brightly, reflecting on the gently rippling waves.
However, his gaze narrowed slightly as he noticed the unnatural curve of the waves.
"The curve still looks odd," he muttered, examining the detail closely.
His hand moved to make adjustments, but eventually, he nodded slightly. "It should suffice for now," he said, stretching his body.
Lein felt his body grow weary after spending so much time on something that, for him, lacked immediate practical value. He wasn't sure how much his ability to create realistic dreams had improved. But for him, the journey was both practice and an escape from reality.
He raised his hand, letting the bubbles he created slowly fade, as if swallowed by the air. "I'll check the progress of the great tree's growth," he said, shifting his focus to the life source tree he had been diligently nurturing.
A few days ago, Lein left a nature crystal to be absorbed by the orb at the center of the resource tree. The absorption process took quite a while, so he decided to leave it for the time being and return a few days later to check its progress.
After saying so, Lein exited his dream bubble. At the moment, he was in the depths of a forest, walking leisurely under the canopy of towering trees while observing the activities of human hunters hunting monsters in the distance.
The sound of crickets filled the forest's stillness, their chirping echoing back and forth. Sunlight occasionally pierced through the gaps in the leaves, creating shifting patterns of light on the ground. Lein intended to open a portal to head straight to the resource tree, but his movement halted when hurried footsteps and a scream for help came from another direction.
"Help!"
The loud scream sounded like it belonged to a woman. Lein immediately turned his gaze toward the sound and saw a woman staggering as she ran, her face filled with terror. Behind her, a large white tiger with prominent fangs was relentlessly chasing her.
"No... I don't want to die..." the woman cried out, clutching her blood-soaked arm tightly.
Her balance was unsteady, but she forced her body to keep running, as if her life depended on every step she took.
From her attire, Lein could tell she was no ordinary person. Though her woolen clothing was torn in several places, its quality indicated she came from a wealthy background. She also wore equipment that looked expensive, albeit now battered from the struggle.
Lein squinted, watching the scene without expression. "Why does this always happen?" he muttered, recalling the stories he had read.
In those tales, there was always someone inexplicably weak, running for their life, only to be saved by the main character.
"Whatever," he thought to himself. "I'll do what I want."
Lein knew it was impossible to intervene in every human issue in the Divine Sky Realm. However, his mood was good after successfully creating a satisfying dream image. Ultimately, he decided to help the woman.
Drawing his sword, Lein leaped into the air, gliding among the tree branches. The wind whistled around him as he moved, his eyes fixed on the woman, who was now on the verge of collapse.
"Huff... Huff..." The woman's breathing was labored, as if her lungs could no longer function.
Her body began to sway, nearly falling to the ground. Behind her, the white tiger leaped with immense power, smashing through any obstacles in its path. Its roar shook the air, sending shivers down anyone's spine.
"I'll kill you in the next life... Emi!" the woman screamed, her eyes red with anger and fear.
She had given up, abandoning her escape plan and focusing her thoughts on the figure she had just called out to.
