Chapter 4: The Gathering at Loguetown
Fourteen years ago—
one year after arriving in this world—Kevin finally understood the truth of his surroundings.
This wasn't some medieval realm as he had first imagined… He was in the world of One Piece.
And once that realization struck, they came—
A swarm of worms.
Celestial Valley… the place where Kevin had been born—a place that no longer existed.
An island erased—deliberately.
Tens of thousands had died in the incident—both the valley's residents and the enslaved brought there by the nobles.
Only five hundred survived, saved by the man who carried them to safety on his back: Uncle Kuma.
Survival rate? One in two thousand.
And Kevin, an infant barely a year old, was among those chosen to live.
The cause of that hell?
A school trip.
Yes… a field trip—organized once every three years by those self-proclaimed Celestial Dragons.
This time, it took the form of a hunting tournament.
The prey?
Human beings.
As if that weren't enough, the island was later wiped off the map, erased entirely so that no witness—no trace—would remain.
Had Aunt Ginny not leaked information two weeks in advance, exploiting a crack in the system… Had chaos not erupted with the arrival of the Rocks Pirates…
Had Kuma not consumed the Paw-Paw Fruit at the last possible second…
Then Kevin would've ended up a mutilated corpse—worth ten points in some noble's pleasure ledger.
Bartholomew Kuma, future Warlord of the Sea—He was the one who saved five hundred souls that day, then settled with Ginny in the Kingdom of Sorbet in the South Blue, dedicating their lives to raising Kevin.
To Kevin, these two were the heart of his world.
But in this new world, he had not forgotten the One Piece story he once read.
He knew full well what the future held for Kuma and Ginny.
In ten years, Ginny—then the Eastern Commander of the Revolutionary Army—would be kidnapped by one of the Celestial Dragons.
She'd be handed over to that monstrous elder from Mary Geoise: Jaygarcia Saturn, to be subjected to horrifying experiments that would leave her cursed—a terminal disease: Sapphire Scales.
The illness would then be passed down to the daughter she bore in Mary Geoise—Jewelry Bonney.
And so… the spiral of tragedy would begin.
Kevin knew that stopping it wasn't impossible.
Maybe if he closely monitored Jenny's movements, or disrupted the fated encounter ten years from now, he could rewrite everything.
But the first condition?
That the incident had truly been a coincidence.
Kevin clearly remembered the confrontation between Kuma and Saturn back in Celestial Valley, when Kuma consumed the Devil Fruit.
But what happened afterward?
He didn't know how Kuma escaped. Nor when his journey as a savior began.
And this mysterious illness—tied to experimentation—hinted at an even darker, more complex unknown.

As dawn stretched across the sky,
the Flying Nimbus cut swiftly through the clouds, returning to Lasgab.
Meanwhile, the shadow clone Kevin had left behind returned to the dorms at midnight, acting completely natural—greeting everyone as usual—without raising a single suspicion.
He ate a modest breakfast at the mess hall, then stopped by Captain Luemi's office to offer a salute before receiving a sealed document and heading off to the port to board one of the Marine's ships.
Lasgab lay not far from the Red Line's special tunnel, but civilians and traders had to queue for hours.
The Marine?
Did not wait.
And four days later, the ship reached its destination:
Loguetown—a town nestled beneath Reverse Mountain.

Four Days Later – Loguetown Port
At this very moment, dozens of warships were docked along the length of Loguetown's harbor.
Even if the Pirate King had surrendered willingly, the World Government and the Marine weren't taking any chances. Security was airtight.
Every inch of the city was under surveillance.
Kevin glanced around.
"So many people…"
Spectators, the curious, and those who had traveled from afar just to witness the event.
And beyond them, countless squads of Marines patrolling the streets relentlessly.
Loguetown had become the very center of the world's attention.

Marine Base – Loguetown
After handing over his sealed file, Kevin was brought to meet an acquaintance of Captain Luemi—A man wearing a black eyepatch over dark sunglasses: Vice Admiral Kuzan.
This man's web of connections... was far from ordinary.
Add to that Admiral Zephyr—his instructor from the elite training camp—and Kevin now had backing from two legends of the admiral generation.
"You're Kevin?" Kuzan asked.
"Yes, reporting for duty! Seaman First Class Kevin, from Branch 80 of the West Blue."
Kuzan gave a slight nod and replied in a cool, detached tone:
"I hear you have a fondness for executing pirates. You even submitted a special request to carry out Gold Roger's execution yourself. Care to tell me why?"
He set the file on the table and stared at it.
"You do realize, don't you? That this so-called Pirate King still has many crew members on the loose—dangerous men who have yet to be brought to justice. Whoever carries out the sentence will likely become their first target.
They're nothing like the pirates you've faced in the West Blue."
Kevin replied with steady conviction:
"If we're to live in fear of the unknown, how will the souls of my fallen loved ones ever rest in peace?"
Kuzan's eyes lifted slightly. He took a closer look at the boy in front of him—barely fifteen—yet described by an old friend as…
"A monster."
Luemi wasn't easily impressed. He'd never called someone that unless they had truly earned it.
And back in the elite training camp six years ago, the only one to bear the title Monster… was Kuzan himself.
"Kuzan," he said, offering his name. Then added with flat indifference:
"Your nomination has been approved. You'll carry out the execution in three days. I'll remain on this island for one week afterward."
Kevin's brow arched with interest.
Kuzan elaborated:
"You must've noticed it already.Loguetown's crawling with watchers… And worse—a number of extremely dangerous pirates have slipped inside, some among the finest of their era."
"Roger's execution has been arranged to strike fear into the next generation of pirates. The higher-ups want the event broadcast to the public… But that also puts you in grave danger."
For once Kevin pulled that lever, his name—this unknown Marine from the West Blue—would be known around the world.
And with it, thousands of pirate hopefuls would see his head as their first step to glory.
Kuzan observed him quietly.
He wanted to see whether this little monster Luemi praised so highly could truly withstand the firestorm to come.

Temporary Marine Quarters – Loguetown
Kevin stood by the window, staring down at the street, lost in thought.
At twenty-five, Kuzan had not yet witnessed the Ohara Massacre, and his burning sense of justice remained untainted—not yet replaced by the lazy justice he would one day embody.
As for Roger's crew…
Kevin knew full well that Rayleigh and Gaban, after discovering the world's secrets at Laugh Tale, hadn't opposed Roger's final decision.
They respected it.
So once the execution was done, Kevin didn't expect Roger's crewmates to come after him.
Instead, it would be the glory-seekers, the pirates hoping to make a name for themselves on his corpse.
With Roger's imprisonment, Kevin now had a rare chance to drain every last bit of Evil Points from him—if he could get him transferred to Cell Number One.
"Cell Number One"?
More like the Private Chamber.
Because the benefits of executing the Pirate King weren't just limited to Evil Points.
There were other hidden gains… plentiful ones.
Besides—Loguetown was now teeming with figures who would shake the world in the years to come.
Warlords.
Future Emperors.
The Revolutionary Army…
And Dragon, leader of the Revolutionaries, wasn't someone easy to approach.
To cover for any danger, Kevin would need at least one Shadow Clone present in public at all times.
"I think it's time for a little walk."
He packed his things and left the Marine headquarters, heading straight for the largest tavern in the city, after asking around with precision.

Meanwhile, Kuzan, who had just begun tracking Kevin's movements, nearly choked when he found out where the boy had gone first—
to drink.
"This brat… Did he just ignore everything I said?"
