Chapter 490: Chapter 500: Rebellion
Just as Sun Jack scattered the nanoworms to collect information and began map modeling.
A boy looking to be only about thirteen or fourteen, with a golden ponytail on his head, approached him. With tears in his eyes, he almost begged, "Sir, please use me once. I beg you, I really need some money urgently."
Clearly, this was a street-walking boy.
Sun Jack looked at his anxious expression and, without saying a word, immediately transferred 200# Virtual Coins of Himalayas to him.
Seeing that Sun Jack really gave her money for free, the girl was filled with gratitude and thanked him profusely. Then, with the money in hand, she headed to a garishly neon-lit chick store nearby.
"Is this what you call emergency?" Before Sun Jack could finish speaking, his keen hearing caught the other party speaking.
"Boss, I've got money now! Some SB just gave me money; I want cage number 3!" After transferring the money to the brothel owner, the girl skillfully stripped off her clothes and climbed excitedly into the cage, then began to primp and pose behind the glass for the passersby.
Through the glass, Sun Jack watched the children whose sex organs had been DNA modified, and he could barely suppress his fury. If it weren't for the bigger picture, he would have really been tempted to burn down the brothel.
He turned his head to look at Old Six beside him. "Aren't you recording?"
Old Six was taken aback. "What? Record this? Isn't this pretty normal?"
"Record it!"
But this time Old Six didn't open the live recording app. Instead, he said earnestly, "Bro, you're skilled at killing, I'm skilled at live broadcasting. If you think broadcasting this will make people angry, will make them resist, you're wrong."
"They won't?" Sun Jack pointed at the children in the cages, incredulous.
"People don't have your high level of thought; don't be naive, they'll only use these images for their own gratification! Bro, I've been in the sex trade for over twenty years, no one understands these D better than I do."
Sun Jack's pupils shrank. He was about to argue but found he couldn't contradict what was said. No matter how long he had been in this place, he still couldn't accept these bizarre occurrences.
Seeing that Sun Jack fell silent, Old Six continued,
"Ah~ Lust and coquettish shyness are inherently void; lustful habits become one's craft. Observe how many a man obsessed with beauty neither sacrifices rank nor years; a stir of spring desire forsakes all else for fleeting joy ah~"
An unfamiliar voice came from behind, and Sun Jack turned to see the Poet standing behind him. "How did you get here? Weren't you watching over the original body?"
"He said my poetry creation was too noisy; he found me annoying and told me to stay wherever's cool, and I thought this place was pretty cool."
"Annoyed the original and came to bother the clone, huh?" Sun Jack turned and walked away.
"That's not exactly true. Anyway, you'll merge consciousness with the original when you get back, so, rounding up, you're essentially the original," the Poet followed him.
"Can't be bothered with you." Sun Jack continued walking deeper inside, passing a human meat shop that looked like a Chinese restaurant, because inside, there were offerings of three animal sacrifices and incense for the ancestral master, Hannibal.
Next to the human meat Chinese restaurant was a human meat Japanese cuisine store. Because Japanese cuisine often involves raw food which requires fresh ingredients, the shop displayed a live person, scraping off pieces to serve as ordered.
Further on, the French restaurants generally specialized in eating entrails.
Old Six still didn't start recording because he thought that if he broadcasted these images, some people would just watch them while eating.
"Do you remember the bet we made earlier? Are you still sure you can change human nature?" the Poet asked from behind.
"I can," Sun Jack was about to say when his dispersed nanoworms suddenly detected something, and he hastily quickened his pace. "They've just grown accustomed to these things, so they take them for granted, but being used to something doesn't necessarily make it right."
"Well, alright then," the Poet shrugged behind him.
```
Gliding through the secluded alley, Sun Jack's body quickly became transparent, and soon he saw others donned in Mimetic Camouflage hugging the corners, dodging cameras, and rushing forward.
Before long, Sun Jack was in a basement where he saw a gathered crowd and as soon as he heard the content of their conversation, he immediately understood their identity. "Resistance Army."
The news instantly excited Sun Jack. "See? There'll always be those who can't stand it, where there's oppression, there's resistance!"
The Poet didn't argue, just silently watched, searching for his inspiration.
Once confirmed that it wasn't a trap, Sun Jack disabled his Mimetic Camouflage and walked toward them.
"Who?" All the weapons were aimed at Sun Jack in an instant,
"Me." As Sun Jack's facial muscles shifted rapidly, he returned to his previous appearance.
These people were clearly on guard at Sun Jack's arrival but after reconfirming Sun Jack's identity several times, everyone became very excited.
"How many of you are there?" Sun Jack got straight to the point.
"About 3000."
"Only that many?" Sun Jack asked in surprise.
"At the start, there were many, about several hundred thousand, but they all died. We're the fifth wave," said the one-eared man leading them.
"What? They all died?" Sun Jack asked, shocked.
"Yes, all dead. After hearing your broadcast and seeing you topple the Holy Grail, everyone was incredibly inspired, so they followed suit. But don't blame yourself; joining the Resistance Army, we were all living on borrowed time anyway. Thank you for showing us a way out that didn't involve suicide!"
"We also know we're going to die, but we're not afraid. Before we die, we want to take someone down with us, not just die pathetically by suicide!"
Sun Jack looked at their faces and said to them, "You don't need to commit suicide anymore, preserve your strength! Big changes are coming soon!"
"Do you have a new plan for the Himalayas?" the leader asked excitedly.
Sun Jack didn't directly answer, "Don't ask, when it's time to act, I'll inform you in advance. Can you tell me where the Holy Grail Person of the Himalayas is? Where do all those corporate power-holders reside?"
To catch the thieves, first catch the king. To take over the Himalayas, as long as they control the local Holy Grail Person, everything else is secondary.
The other party was a local and also part of the Resistance Army; asking them some sensitive questions would be much easier.
"The Holy Grail Person? We usually curse them out, they stay on the Sun."
"On the Sun?"
"Yes, inside the Sun."
"Where is the Sun? I didn't see it."
"Because it's night now. The Sun has retracted but it's about time." The other glanced at the time as he spoke. "The Sun is coming out."
Sun Jack quickly shared the view with Steelheart outside, and saw a massive fireball rise from the split metal city, its gentle sunlight illuminating the entire Himalayas.
"An artificial Sun?"
