Chapter 4: Prologue
'Ars Goetia (Latin, probably: The Art of Witchcraft)'
Stolas of Ars Goetia; considered in the human world as a demon that unlike others like him; is not violent in nature, but a tireless seeker of knowledge, with his specialties being geology, astrology and herbalism. A demon prince who commands 26 legions.
Married to Stella by marriage arrangement at the age of 18 to procreate a provisional heir to the family; he had a daughter who was named after his mother, Octavia.
But not all the knowledge or power of the underworld taught him what would be the most difficult challenge of his life, running a family.
A common conclusion in this type of marriage is that conflict is to be expected, it is presented head-on and as if it were its natural habitat; causing chaos at every opportunity that presents.
Since the goal of this dysfunctional marriage was to bring an heir; Octavia, this union would soon see the end at the hands of Stolas –openly and blatantly cheating on his wife with an imp named Blitzo. This caused tensions between the two –which would culminate in divorce. But what Stolas did not expect is that now it would be his daughter who would bring a new and troublesome problem to their lives.
Wrap yourself in a story about a father's love, a daughter's fear of abandonment, and an uncanny love that would bring new and difficult experiences to these inexperienced demons.
In a world where demons are not so different from humans, our morality and the non-existence of it in hell –which is home of all sins, succumbs into chaos, it begs the question: when is it too much?
Love for our children is unconditional, but who sets the limits of the love that children can have for those who gave them life?
