Chapter 137: Chapter 137: Chihiro's Fight
"This is not what it means to be a hero,"
Chihiro smirked faintly. Activating the power of his class card, he summoned the God Force.
"What?!"
The four black Servants were momentarily stunned.
A human wielding the power of Heroic Spirits and their Noble Phantasms—it was unheard of.
Even Jeanne found herself slightly taken aback.
"Ms. Jeanne," Leaticia asked cautiously, "is he in the same situation as me?"
Jeanne shook her head. "No. I never sensed any spiritual fluctuations from him before. My judgment of his true name wasn't wrong."
"Hah, now this is getting interesting," Achilles remarked, his initial disinterest giving way to genuine excitement. The famed warrior stepped forward, addressing Chihiro with a grin. "I don't know how you managed this, but your presence has some bite to it."
[Name: Achilles; Class: Rider; Gender: Male; Alignment: Lawful Balanced]
[Strength: B+ | Endurance: A | Agility: A+ | Mana: C | Luck: D | Noble Phantasm: A+]
[Class Skills: Magic Resistance (C), Riding (A+)]
[Personal Skills: Battle Continuation (A), Bravery (A+), Affection of the Goddess (B), Divinity (C)]
[Noble Phantasms: Diatrekhōn Astēr Lonkhē (B+, anti-unit, 2–10 meters, max target: 1), Akhilleus Kosmos (A+, barrier, 0 meters, max target: 1), Troias Tragōidia (A, anti-army, 2–60 meters, max target: 50), Dromeus Komētēs (A+, anti-unit/self, 0 meters, max target: 1), Andreias Amarantos (A+, anti-unit/self, 0 meters, max target: 1)]
This man truly lived up to his reputation as one of the Red Faction's trump cards. Compared to Karna, his arsenal of Noble Phantasms was surprisingly diverse. It made sense now—Achilles and Karna were the pillars of the Red Team, forcing the Black Faction into dire straits in the original timeline.
"Let's see what you've got!"
Achilles charged at Chihiro, swinging his right fist with explosive force.
Chihiro reacted swiftly, equipping the Gauntlet of the God of War's Five Conversions. He met Achilles head-on, their fists colliding with a deafening crash.
Thanks to his strength being enhanced by the Red Hare's power and the magical enhancements of the "Sealing Designation Enforcer" Card, Chihiro's punch was evenly matched with Achilles'. Both were forced to step back from the impact.
"Haha, I knew you were something else!" Achilles laughed, his excitement growing as he lunged forward again.
This was the kind of fight he craved. Jeanne's earlier, more restrained attacks had been dull and uninspiring.
Chihiro calmly reinforced himself with another spell, invoking:
"The heavens will bow, the will of the world is mine to command!"
"Golden Body"
Golden energy enveloped his body as he cast a powerful reinforcement spell. With this added layer of protection, he charged back into the fray, exchanging a relentless barrage of punches and kicks with Achilles.
"Ahhh! Let me join in!"
From the side, Spartacus, unable to contain himself, charged into the battle with a frenzied roar.
[Name: Spartacus; Class: Berserker; Gender: Male; Alignment: Neutral Balanced]
[Strength: A | Endurance: EX | Agility: D | Mana: E | Luck: D | Noble Phantasm: C]
[Class Skill: Madness Enhancement (EX)]
[Personal Skills: Abuse Endurance (B), Unyielding Will (A+), Triumph Against Oppression (B+)]
[Noble Phantasm: Crying Warmonger (A+, anti-unit/self, 0 meters, max target: 1)]
"Hey, Berserker! This is my fight!" Achilles shouted, annoyed by Spartacus' interference.
But as always, Berserkers were not known for listening to reason. Spartacus raised his club, swinging it repeatedly without giving Chihiro a moment to catch his breath.
Chihiro grit his teeth. Fighting Spartacus was a different kind of nightmare, this man thrived on pain and only grew stronger with each blow. Chihiro couldn't afford to hit him too hard, or the situation would spiral out of control.
"Bang!"
Chihiro narrowly blocked a strike from Spartacus but was still sent flying back over ten meters from the sheer force of the blow.
Damn it. His strength really was a cut above Achilles'.
Steadying himself, Chihiro took a deep breath and assumed a defensive posture, preparing for a counter.
Spartacus charged again, club raised high, but Chihiro deftly redirected the blow with a well-timed motion, using technique over brute force. He retaliated with a precise strike to Spartacus' face.
It didn't work.
Damn it, how is his face this hard?
"Oppressor! Let me embrace you!" Spartacus roared, opening his arms wide for a crushing bear hug.
Not wanting to be caught, Chihiro quickly shoved him back and created distance.
What a mistake—getting into close quarters with this guy was a terrible idea.
Suddenly, a sharp whistle pierced the air.
"Whoosh!"
An arrow flew toward Chihiro, aiming for his chest.
It was Atalanta.
But thanks to his reinforcement spell, the arrow failed to pierce him, merely glancing off his golden aura.
[Name: Atalanta; Class: Archer; Gender: Female; Alignment: Neutral Evil]
[Strength: D | Endurance: E | Agility: A | Mana: B | Luck: C | Noble Phantasm: C]
[Class Skills: Magic Resistance (D), Independent Action (A)]
[Personal Skills: Crossing Arcadia (A), Grace of the Huntress (C), Hunt for the Calydonian Boar (A)]
[Noble Phantasms: Phoebus Catastrophe (B+, anti-army, 2–50 meters, max target: 100), Agrius Metamorphosis (B+, anti-unit/self, 0 meters, max target: 1)]
Achilles, Atalanta, and Spartacus were now actively reporting back to Kotomine Shirou. Under his orders, they resolved to eliminate both Jeanne and Chihiro at all costs.
Achilles frowned. He didn't like ganging up on a single opponent, but orders were orders. He rejoined the battle, launching a flying kick at Chihiro.
Chihiro barely managed to block it, crossing his arms in defense. Even so, the impact sent him skidding back several steps.
Not far away, Karna was preparing to attack with his spear, but Jeanne quickly intercepted him.
Unlike the original history, Jeanne wasn't standing idly by.
Chihiro—had come to aid her. He was unaffiliated with either side, and Jeanne felt no reason to hold back. However, her power alone wasn't enough to suppress Karna.
Meanwhile, Chihiro was left to fend off the combined assault of three Servants on his own.
"Bang!"
Spartacus' club finally broke through Chihiro's defenses, shattering his reinforcement spell in the process.
"No!" Chihiro growled. If this kept up, he'd be finished.
He reached for his trump card.
Chihiro activated the Qillin Armor stored within his class card. Golden-red light enveloped him, and when it faded, his body was clad in magnificent armor. His aura surged, easily doubling in intensity.
"What the…?"
Both Achilles and Atalanta were visibly stunned.
This wasn't a Noble Phantasm. But it wasn't any less powerful.
Could it be… a divine artifact?
"Now it's my turn!"
Chihiro disappeared in a flash, reappearing in front of Achilles and delivering a punch that sent the Rider flying.
"Achilles!" Atalanta cried, loosing a volley of arrows in rapid succession.
But her shots were useless. Chihiro's speed easily outmatched her aim. He closed the distance in an instant and knocked her aside with a single blow.
"Ahhh!" Spartacus roared, charging again. But Chihiro didn't bother engaging him directly. Instead, he tripped the Berserker with a sweeping kick, grabbed his leg, spun him around twice, and hurled him into the distance.
Spartacus' body disappeared over a distant hill, leaving him temporarily out of the fight.
"Hmph."
Karna, seeing the tide turn, forced Jeanne aside with a burst of flame. He stepped forward, his spear blazing with magical energy.
But Chihiro was ready.
""Feel the fire of judgment!" Chihiro shouted, conjuring flames from Ars Ignis and hurling them at Karna.
Karna frowned. These flames were foreign, yet powerful. He avoided them, recognizing their potential danger.
Wielding the transformed halberd form of the God Force, Chihiro engaged Karna directly. Their weapons clashed, sparks flying as their battle escalated into a violent, destructive exchange.
But Chihiro knew he couldn't keep this up for long.
The combination of his armor and class card was strong, but the energy drain was immense. Against Karna, he'd burn out in less than ten minutes.
The odds were stacked against him. Achilles and Atalanta were already recovering.
There was only one option left.
"Jeanne! I need time!" Chihiro shouted, using his halberd to push Karna back as he retreated to Jeanne's side.
Jeanne nodded without hesitation. "Understood!"
She stepped forward, plunging her holy flag into the ground.
"My Lord is my strength!" Jeanne cried out. A radiant golden barrier expanded from the flag, enveloping herself and Chihiro.
