Fantasy Wolf Psychosis

Chapter 13: Chapter 12 Death hunt

Ethan was walking through the thick forest. His heart was filled with determination and hope, and though he struggled with physical exhaustion and pain, he knew he could not stop. He must find the witch, explore his own bloodline, and unlock the true answer to his nightmare.

The forest paths meandered, and Ethan tried to stay alert to avoid stepping on any possible traps. Soon after, however, he felt a sharp pain under his feet and, looking down, saw that he had stepped on a trap hidden under fallen leaves. The iron clamp clamped firmly on his ankle, preventing him from moving.

'Damn it! Ethan cursed under his breath and tried to pry the trap open with his hands, but each attempt brought intense pain. He knew he had to calm down and find another way.

He looked around and saw a strong branch next to him that might help him. With all his strength, Ethan pushed the branch into the iron teeth of the trap and tried to pry it open using the principle of leverage. After some hard work, the trap was released. Ethan quickly pulled his foot back, and though the wound on his ankle was still bleeding, he knew he couldn't stay here much longer.

"We must get out of here as soon as possible," Ethan said to himself, standing up in pain and moving on.

He trudged through the forest, each step filled with pain and struggle. However, Ethan knew he couldn't give up. His mind is filled with worries about Leah and Carruth, and he must find a way to solve the problem.

Suddenly Ethan heard rapid footsteps and a low growl behind him. His heart clenched and he realized he was being overtaken by the werewolf. Ethan gritted his teeth and quickened his pace, trying to shake off the pursuers.

"Can't get caught," Ethan kept repeating in his mind, trying to keep himself awake.

Although the ankle injury slowed him down, he still ran hard, hoping to find a way out. The trees and shrubs in the forest seemed to obstruct his progress, and he felt hopeless at every turn.

As the footsteps drew closer behind him, Ethan felt a wave of despair and powerlessness. He knew he couldn't run any longer and had to find a way to get away from the pursuers. He suddenly stopped and turned to look in the direction of the pursuers, a flicker of determination in his eyes.

"If this is my last fight, then I must fight with all my might," Ethan whispered, clenching the branch in his hand and preparing for the arrival of the enemy.

Soon after, several werewolf warriors appear in Ethan's sight. There was a fierce light in their eyes, clearly there to capture Ethan. At the head of the group was Harold, who looked at Ethan with a sneer and contempt in his eyes.

"Did you think you could get away with it, Ethan?" Harold sneered. "You were never meant to escape us."

Ethan clenched the branch and looked firm. "Even if I can't escape, I won't give up easily."

Harold sneered and waved to his men to surround Ethan. Ethan knew he was in a desperate situation, but he decided to fight to the death. He swung a branch in an attempt to fend off the werewolf attack, but his strength was exhausted and his movements looked weak.

Harold's men rushed forward, their claws and teeth gleaming cold. Ethan fought hard, but he was no match for their strength. He felt a sharp pain, his body was slammed to the ground, and his vision was blurred.

Just when Ethan thought he was about to be torn apart by the werewolf's claws, he suddenly felt a strong wave of magic. A strange energy filled the air, and Harold and his men were jolted back a few steps by the force.

Ethan barely opened his eyes and saw a figure coming from deep in the forest. It was an old woman in a black robe, holding in her hand a shining staff. There was majesty and power in her eyes, and she was clearly a powerful magician.

'Stop it! "Exclaimed the old woman, with an irresistible authority in her voice.

Harold and his men stopped their attack, a flicker of fear in their eyes. They were clearly too afraid of the old woman to attack.

The old woman walked over to Ethan and gently waved her wand, and a soft light enveloped Ethan's body. He felt a wave of warmth and strength as his wounds healed and his strength returned.

"Who are you?" Ethan asked weakly, his eyes full of gratitude and doubt.

The old woman smiled. "I'm Calvina, a witch. I felt your call and came here to help you."

Ethan felt a thrill. "Thank you, Kalvina. I need your help. I need answers."

Kalvina nodded, "I know your predicament, young man. The power within you is unstable and needs to be found. Come with me, and I'll take you to a safe place."

Harold watched it all coldly, with a flash of anger and resentment in his eyes. He knew he couldn't get away with Kalvina. So he waved his men back and sneered, "You can't get away with this, Ethan. We will find you again."

Kalvina quickly leaves with Ethan and disappears into the thick forest. Harold watched them walk away, filled with anger and determination.

"Track them down," Harold said coldly. "We'll find them wherever they're hiding."

Ethan follows Kalvina through the forest, feeling some comfort but still filled with doubts deep inside. Kalvina's appearance seemed too timely for him to fully trust her. Circumstances, however, leave him no choice.

After some time of walking, they came to a secret cave. The interior of the cave is spacious and dry, apparently Kalvina's temporary home.

"Sit down, Ethan," Kalvina said, a gentle command in her voice. Ethan sat down, feeling tired and weak.

Kalvina began to examine Ethan's body, her hand lightly on his pulse, eyes closed, feeling the energy flowing through his body. Suddenly, her brow furrowed and there was a gleam of surprise and greed in her eyes.

"The power inside you is very special," Kalvina whispered, with an imperceptible glint in her eye. "It's not your ordinary werewolf power."

Ethan felt a pang of unease. "What does this mean?"

Kalvina thought for a moment, then said, "There is a very pure power in your blood, and it is not only the werewolf power, but some older and stronger blood in it."

With his heart beating faster, Ethan realized that his problem was more complicated than he had imagined. "What should I do?"

There was a grim glint in Kalvina's eyes, but her voice remained soft, "I need to examine you further before I can be sure of your specific condition." But you have to trust me, Ethan, this is going to be a little painful."

Ethan nodded, though filled with doubt, but he had no choice. He closed his eyes and tried to relax.

Kalvina began to work her magic, and beams of light burst from her staff, enveloping Ethan's body. Ethan felt a sharp pain, clenched his teeth and endured the ordeal.

Suddenly, a sly smile spread across Kalvina's face. She quickly uttered a spell, and Ethan felt a powerful force rush through his body, but the force was not healing, it was imprisoning.

"What did you do?" Ethan asked in horror, trying to break free.

Kalvina smiled coldly, "The power inside you is good alchemical material for me." I'm going to kill you along with these werewolves. You're all important material in my experiments."

Ethan felt a wave of despair. He knew he had been betrayed. 'You can't do that!

There was a crazy light in Kalvina's eyes. "Why not? In this world, the strong are king, and you are just the weak, worthy only to be my experimental material."

Just then Harold and his men suddenly appeared at the entrance to the cave, apparently following the scent.

"Looks like we got here just in time," Harold sneered, murderous in his eyes.

Kalvina turned and looked at Harold with a dismissive smile on her face. "What do you want from me, you stupid little wolves?"

Harold roared and led his men toward Kalvina. Kalvina sneers and waves her wand, unleashing a powerful flash of magical light that sends several werewolf warriors flying.

Ethan felt a jolt of weakness, and he knew he couldn't survive this kind of battle. Suddenly, he heard a familiar call, "Ethan!"

He turned his head and saw Leah rushing in from the other side of the cave, eyes full of anxiety and determination.

"Leah, run! Ethan shouted, filled with fear and helplessness.

But Leah didn't stop. She rushed to Ethan's side and tried to free Kalvina from her magic. However, Kalvina's strength was too great for Leah's efforts to help.

"We have to get out of here," Leah whispered, a determined gleam in her eyes.

It is at this point that the battle between Harold and Kalvina reaches a fever pitch. Harold roared at Kalvina, trying to tear her defenses open with his claws. Kalvina sneered and waved her wand, and a stream of magical light blocked Harold's attack.

At that moment, a green light came from the cave entrance and struck Kalvina's staff, temporarily halting her attack. Kalvina turned her head angrily and saw the wounded Druid Carus, his eyes full of anger and determination.

"Carruth, are you still alive?" "Said Kalvina sarcastically, with contempt in her voice.

Carruth looked coldly at Kalvina, his eyes shining with pain and anger. "It was my fault that Ethan came across you, a wicked witch. I've hurt my best friend, and now I want to make up for it."

Ethan and Leah stood on the other side of the cave and saw Carruth appear, and a glimmer of hope lit up in their hearts. Ethan knew that Carruth was their last hope, and that his strength and wisdom might help them out of their immediate predicament.

"You think you can stop me, Carruth?" Kalvina sneered and waved her wand, and the powerful magical light burst out again.

Carus did not answer, his hands clenched the wand, and the magical energy in his body quickly coalesced. There was a green glow in his eyes, and the whole cave seemed to respond to his anger and determination.

"Kalvina, your crimes stop for the day," Carruth whispered, her voice imbued with unshakable determination.

The battle between the two erupts in an instant, and magical lights weave through the cave, forming an earth-shattering showdown. Carus works his most powerful natural magic, and vines and roots grow rapidly from the ground, trying to wrap around Kalvina.

Kalvina countered with her powerful dark magic, alternating between fire and frost, in an attempt to destroy Carrus' attack. The forces of the two men clashed violently in the cave, and the whole cave trembled.

Ethan and Leah hid aside, their eyes full of tension and anticipation. They know that the outcome of this battle will determine their fate.

"We must help Carruth," Ethan whispered to Leah, his eyes shining with determination.

Leah nodded. "We can't let him fight alone."

Ethan and Leah crept closer to the center of the battle, trying to find an opportunity to help Carruth. Carruth noticed what they were doing, and he knew he had to end the fight quickly and protect his friends.

"Ethan, Leah, get out of here!" Carruth shouted, his voice filled with urgency.

But Ethan and Leah don't back down, they decide to fight alongside Carruth. Ethan waves a branch in an attempt to interrupt Kalvina's spell, while Leah harrages with her agility and courage in an attempt to buy Carruth more time.

Kalvina felt a surge of anger, knowing that she had been thwarted by the group of humans and werewolves. Her magic became more violent, and the whole cave shook violently under her power.

'You're all going to die! Kalvina roared, as powerful dark energies erupted from her staff and tried to destroy everyone completely.

Carruth felt a strong pressure, but he did not flinch. He knew that this moment was the difference between life and death for all. He unleashes all the magical energy in his body for a final showdown with Kalvina's attack.

Green light and dark energy collide violently in the cave, forming a thrilling magical storm. Carruth's body was gradually consumed by the dark energy, but his eyes still glowed with determination.

"Ethan, Leah, go! Carruth shouted with the last of his strength, knowing he could not hold on any longer.

Ethan felt a pang of heartache, but he knew Carruth's sacrifice was to protect them. He took Leah by the hand and rushed to the exit of the cave, trying to escape the dangerous area.

In the moment of their departure, Carruth's body was completely consumed by the dark energy, but his spirit became a green light, protecting Ethan and Leah one last time.

Kalvina's figure gradually emerged in the dark energy, a cold smile on her face. "You think you can escape this way?"
