SWNOVELXO Chapter 442: The God-Killer
(Third Person POV)
"Sir." Felicity's voice could be heard through Jason's badge, "Detecting an abnormally immense magic signature in your vicinity!"
Jason nodded as he looked up at the sky where Acnologia conveniently hovered without doing anything.
"That'll be Acnologia." Jason said as he looked behind him
He noticed that everyone had already left, scurrying to get everyone evacuated. This was perhaps why The Dragon King was hovering, he was looking all over the town and watching everyone run around, looking like ants to him.
"Acnologia?" Felicity said, "That is not an ideal situation, sir. Do you require Nemesis support?"
Jason shook his head, "Nope." He said, "Send It."
"Sir, I require to divert power from both charging docks to fully power that and send it to your location." She said, "Do you still wish to proceed? It will take 5 minutes to complete."
Jason released an immense dark aura as the ground shook, getting Acnologia's attention.
"I'll stall him." Jason said as he summoned a katana in his hand, "Do it. Execute Order 115."
"Roger. Executing Order 115: Armored Core Protocol." Felicity said through the speaker, "I'll keep you updated. Good luck to you, sir."
Acnologia looked down at Jason, "You, Human, what is with your magic power?" The Dragon King asked, "Do you truly intend to fight me, The Dragon King? Last time did not fare so well for you."
Jason unsheathed his katana, revealing its black blade as it gave off a dark and misty aura. The Dragon King noticed a change in the atmosphere, the magic power released by Jason changing its attribute.
"It's just you and me, asshole." Jason growled, "I'll cut you down."
"Interesting..." Acnologia said, "Let us see how you intend to stop a calamity such as I."
Acnologia extended his dark wings, releasing a massive shockwave as the air around him shook violently; his magic power distorting the space around him as he let out a massive roar.
Jason launched himself into the air, charging up magic power into his blade.
"Sword God's Unsheathed Form:"
As he reached the Dragon King, Jason swung his sword, releasing a dark black light and instantly flashing past Acnologia, who was taken aback by the sudden speed of the attack. Suddenly, several black slices exploded all over The Dragon King's body released massive shockwaves.
"Darkdrift"
As Jason hovered above Acnologia, he looked down to see his God Slayer attack did not affect him.
"Shit." He said with a scowl
Acnologia slowly looked up with, his beady white eyes piercing through Jason.
"This is the best you can offer?" The Dragon King asked, "Pathetic."
In an instant, Acnologia flew past Jason, launching further into the sky and into the clouds. The force of the flight hit Jason hard, causing him to stumble in midair.
Acnologia straightened himself out and looked down, charging magic power into his open mouth, preparing a breath attack. Everyone in the town noticed this and looked up in horror, feeling the immense destructive power that the Dragon King was displaying.
Jason scowled, "Oh no you don't." He said before launching himself at him again
Jason was using his Gravity God Slayer Magic in conjunction with his Sword God Slayer Magic activated. However, he could only use his flight while using Sword God Slayer Magic without using any fused element modes. That said, Jason didn't want to use a dual element mode at the time if he was going to use this next attack.
"God Slayer Secret Art:"
As he reached the Dragon King, Jason sheathed his sword and charged an immense amount of magic power. So much that Acnologia noticed as he charged his breath attack. The Dragon King's instincts told him that there was some sort of danger incoming.
On the ground, Kagura stopped and looked up as she and Minerva saw this.
"This power...." Kagura said with a bewildered look on her face, "J-Jason...."
Minerva noticed a strange feeling to his magic power, "This is odd...." She said as she sweated slightly, "What is this feeling...."
Jason gave Acnologia a serious glare, "You fucker.." He growled, "Let's see how you handle this..."
"Judgement Cut: End"
There was a flash of black light coming from Jason's sword, the atmosphere turned dark within a second, and suddenly, there were thousands of slashes that cut through space itself, hitting such a massive area that it hit Acnologia himself mid-breath charge.
The slashes hit his face, interrupting the breath attack and causing a massive explosion that engulfed his entire head and a portion of his neck.
"What the...." Acnologia's voice could be heard
The attack was so powerful that it affected the space surrounding the town, shattering the air and causing a massive shockwave that akin to Acnologia's attack from earlier. The ground shook violently as everyone that was running stumbled and collapsed to the ground.
Jason hovered in midair, still in an Iai stance, looking up at Acnologia who was staggered massively.
"Wasn't enough...." Jason said with a sweat running down his temple, "Dammit...."
As he said this, Acnologia emerged from the massive cloud of dark smoke and flames.
"Interesting!!!" He bellowed, "That attack was magnificent!!! I did not need to devour it, but it was enough to make me feel something!!!"
Acnologia released an immense magic power, his aura was beginning to distort the space around them, far more than Jason's attack had done.
Jason gritted his teeth, "No other choice..." He said, "We have to fight somewhere else..."
His katana then disappeared as he released a dark silver aura, catching the Dragon King's attention yet again.
"Oh?" Acnologia said, "What is this?"
Jason clapped his hands, releasing an explosion of silver energy.
"Moon God's Relocation: Gate of Artemis!!!"
Acnologia felt as he was pulled towards Jason as the air around him was engulfed in the silver energy.
"This...." He said, "Teleportation magic? Interesting! You're an amusing Human, I'll allow it!!!"
"Good." Jason said
Suddenly, they were pulled into a single point, a massive swirl of silver energy caused by Jason's Moon God Slayer Magic.
On the ground, Igora and Seilah saw this with widened eyes.
"This is not good." Igora said as she was on her knee, "The worst possible situation...."
"Dammit Jason!!!"

[In The Skies, Aboard The Nemesis]
"Why is Jason facing Acnologia by himself, Felicity?!" Mavis exclaimed, "Send firepower support right away!!!"
She was standing in front of the massive map hologram as she held Erion in her arms. The baby was squirming around, his eyes glowing bright blue as he had an angry scowl on his face.
"Negative." Felicity said, "Master Jason's orders are absolute. I am currently diverting power to one of his charging docks. He has ordered me to send It to him within the next 2 minutes."
Mavis frowned, "What? What is this 'It' you're talking about?" She asked
"Order 115 has been executed. The Armored Core Protocol is in effect." Felicity said, "I am afraid there's no time to explain. All you need to know is that Master Jason is well aware of the danger that The Dragon King himself poses. If he says he requires this weapon, then so be it."
"Weapon?" Mavis said, "What kind of weapon is it?"
"Master Jason's greatest creation as of yet." Felicity explained, "The pinnacle of his Advanced Core and Machine God Slayer projects. It is truly a powerful weapon."
Erion began to attempt to pry himself free from Mavis's arms, letting out a deep growl as his body emitted a powerful dark aura.
"Erion-kun!" Mavis said, "Control yourself! I know you wish to aid your father, but he doesn't want you in harm's way! Please understand! Don't make us lock you up!!"
Erion lifted his arms in the air, "AAAA!!!!" He yelled, "UUUIIIIII!!!!"
Mavis tried to firm but gentle in holding him in place but Erion was being very resilient.
"Erion-kun, please!" Mavis said as she looked up at the map,
"Jason, be careful....."

[Hundreds of Miles Away From The Northern Region, In A Desolated Part of Fiore]
There was a massive explosion that dwarfed a mountain as it disintegrated a portion of it. The explosion shook the earth violently as the skies darkened with storm clouds, the air shaking even more violently.
From the massive ball of fire that replaced the sphere of energy that was the explosion, a massive dark figure flew out as it chased a smaller figure that was covered in smoke.
"Hahahahahaha!!!!" Acnologia bellowed as he flew towards Jason who was bruised and bloodied, "To think you survived that!!!"
Jason launched himself further away, avoiding the Dragon King's maw chomping down at him in an attempt to devour him. His clothes were charred and tattered, an effect of the massive explosion that had just attempted to end him. He had teleported himself and Acnologia to this desolate location so they could battle by themselves, without the risk of harming anyone else.
"Shit...." Jason said, "That one almost got me good....."
Jason then stopped in midair and snapped his fingers.
"Sage God's Battlefield Shift!!!"
He released a dark aura that covered the entire space around them, stopping Acnologia in his tracks in midair.
"Ho?" The Dragon King mused, "This is a familiar spell....."
In an instant, Acnologia opened his maw and chomped down, shattering the space within his mouth. This caused a shockwave and Jason watched as the dark space shattered completely, disabling his spell.
"Shit..." Jason said, "He was strong enough to move his mouth and power his way out of it."
Acnologia then rushed past Jason, swinging his claws in a swiping motion, attempting to rip him apart in one fell swoop. Jason, however, was able to move out the way and use his Sage God Slayer to enchant the space with a barrier.
The barrier was not enough to stop the raw power of the Dragon King, shattering it and causing a shockwave that sent Jason flying back.
"Oh?" The Dragon King said, "Impressive. You, Human, you're full of surprises."
Jason composed himself in midair, clutching his chest.
"High Enchant: Regenerative Heal"
He cast a healing spell on himself, to heal his wounds caused by the explosion. They weren't fatal but he did not want to be at any sort of disadvantage against the Dragon King himself.
"This is terrible..." He said, "I can try my Black God Slayer Magic on him but he's the hardest counter on all types of magic! He's The Magic Dragon!"
"Amusing..." Acnologia said as he turned to face Jason, "You are aware of my power. Then why? Why must you resist? You are well aware that your magic, no matter how powerful it is, is no match for me."
Jason gritted his teeth, "Oh we'll see." He said, "Felicity!!"
"Sir." Felicity's voice said through the badge, "Charging complete. Locked on your coordinates. Sending in the Package."
Jason smirked, "Good." He said, "About time....."
Acnologia then noticed something off in the distance, he turned to see a massive figure flying towards Jason, propelled by rocket boosters. It was a massive pod that was similar in size to the Dragon King.
As it approached him, Jason raised his hand, revealing a glowing mark on his wrist. He was then surrounded by a dark energy barrier as he released an immense aura.
"Armored Core Protocol Complete." Jason said with a smirk
Acnologia looked at him, "Oh?" He said, "What is this?"
The pod then collided against him, releasing a massive explosion of light that blinded the Dragon King, who covered his eyes. He could feel the immense shockwave and waves of light that were being released by the explosion. He noticed there was something off about what was happening and he was not sure what.
"This...." He said, "This feeling..."
Suddenly, the white light disappeared and Acnologia was appalled by what replaced Jason.
It was a massive bipedal Mech with two arms and two mounted Gatling guns on its shoulders. Its size was so massive that it looked to be equal to Acnologia. Its color was obsidian black which reflected the light from the sun. Its head had a visor which glowed crimson read, signaling its activation.
"Armored Core: "
The Mech then swung his arm, summoning a massive cannon out of thin air as six massive steel mechanical wings appeared on its back. It then began to let out a massive magic pressure that distorted the air around them. This had the Dragon King stunned, he was so surprised at the appearance of such a thing that he did not bother to attack it right away.
