Fairy Tail: Jinchuriki

As they've promised, Alex, Ur, and Ultear visit the Heartfilia mansion during the day. They have spent their night in the forest, in a small simple cabin Alex made with rocks and dirt.

Ultear was fine last night, but they make sure to use a lot of her magic power before going to the mansion. It's to make sure she is low on magic power and it won't go berserk.

Layla introduces them to her husband, Jude Heartfilia. He is very warm and seems to love his family so much. He also smiles a lot, probably because his wife is still alive.

But he is already busy with work now. He takes all of their work as the owner of the merchant group because his wife is not too healthy to work. So he takes over most of the work, but he still has time for his family.

To improve her health, Layla always takes a morning stroll around their mansion. She asks Ur to accompany her and asks the kids to play however they want.

It's an awkward situation for Ur, Ultear, and Alex. Ur is not used to talk with a noble-like person while Alex and Ultear are not used to play like normal children. Their play always involves magic and always ends up with a fight.

But they can only do it because Layla has helped them so much. At least, Ur just needs to talk with Layla and they actually talk about Ur's experience as a Mage. It's mostly just about the interesting things that happened in her jobs.

But for Alex, this is quite a nightmare. Lucy actually forces him to play with dolls and even play house, which he never did. So he is very awkward with it and doesn't know what to do.

Ultear seems to enjoy it though because it's more interesting than she thought. Well, she's a girl too, so dolls and all the girly stuff that Lucy shows her are interesting for her. She learns them quickly and she plays everything so well in the end.

The 1st day isn't that bad because Lucy still doesn't know them that well. So they don't play anything too catchy or strange. They still play in moderation on the 2nd day, but Lucy and Ultear have become good buddies.

Then on the 3rd day, Alex starts to suffer as the only boy in the group. They play dress-up and make-up, which is normal for kids. The problem is, Lucy only has girl dresses, so they make Alex wear those girl dresses.

Ultear seems to enjoy it so much, especially when they put make-up on him. They just do his make-up for fun, not even try to make him pretty. He can't even protest because the girls seem to enjoy it so much, so he needs to endure it as the "adult" here.

Still, it won't be so bad if they just play it in the room. But the girls actually want to go around the mansion to show off their pretty dresses and make-up. Obviously, Alex needs to join them running around the mansion.

Everyone seems to pity him, but no one can hold their laugh either. Even Jude who's working in his office laughs out loud when he sees Alex. Ur has the most laugh among everyone though. At least the others try to hide it, but she just laughs without care.

Ultear seems to have so much fun bullying him and suggests they go to the town. Alex has enough of her naughtiness and drags the girls back into the mansion by their back collars. They try to resist, but he is just too strong for them even without transforming.

The girls finally give up and agree to erase Alex's make-up. But then, Ultear suddenly feels dizzy and she falls on the floor. Of course, it surprises Alex and Lucy because she is fine a moment ago.

Alex suddenly senses strange pulses from Ultear's magic power. He has trained to sense others' magic power with Shukaku and Matatabi for months. Now he can sense the magic power of others who are near him.

"Oh no! Her magic power is starting to go out of control again. Lucy, tell your mother and my teacher about this. Tell them I'll bring Ultear to the forest."

Alex transforms into his humanoid Matatabi form and quickly brings Ultear to the forest. He leaves through the windows and jumps out of the 2nd floor easily. He also jumps over the tall fence and runs very fast to the forest.

Lucy who knows how grave the situation is, quickly goes to find Ur and her mother. They are currently enjoying tea on a veranda. When Lucy arrives and explains the situation to them, their relaxed expressions immediately turn into panic.

Ur quickly jumps down from the veranda and runs out of the mansion to go to the forest too. Layla orders her servants to prepare for a carriage because she also wants to go there to help.

But when Ur has just come out of the mansion area and Layla has just come out of the building, they suddenly see a very bright flash of light from the forest.

Then, they see a massive and tall ice block appear in the forest. It's so big and tall that it looks like an ice mountain. Of course, such a gigantic ice chunk takes everyone's attention because it can be seen from all over the town.

"Quickly send guards to inform the people that it's nothing to worry about. Tell them that a Mage who works for us is testing her new spell in the forest." Layla quickly orders her servants because she knows that people will panic after seeing something like that suddenly appear.

The servants nod and quickly leave to do her order. Now they all understand why Ur insisted on staying in the forest when Layla offered them to stay in the mansion. If Ultear releases her magic here, then the whole mansion and even the garden will freeze.

"I never thought it would be this bad. She really has too much magic power for her underdeveloped body." Layla finally knows the graveness of Ultear's situation.

"Mama, will Ultear be alright?" Lucy asks worriedly.

"Yes, sweetheart, don't worry. Do you remember what her mom said? She said Ultear will be fine after releasing most of her magic power and rest for a while. Let's go there and check on them."

Layla and Lucy then go toward the giant ice chunk in the forest using a carriage with their servants. The closer they get, the bigger it looks and the colder it becomes.

But then, they see the giant ice suddenly break apart into tiny pieces and disappear. Ur has destroyed the ice using her magic. She always did it as quickly as possible to reduce the damage it caused.

Because the ice is destroyed quickly, most of the trees and animals that get frozen will survive. They will feel cold for a while, but they won't die, most of them.

Alex is fine too because he transformed into Matatabi. His fire body protected him from the ice's coldness, so he didn't freeze. His quick action to bring Ultear to the forest also saved many people.

"Good job, Alex." Ur compliments Alex while checking on her daughter.

"You never said the symptom would get worse that fast. Her magic power went out of control so fast. It felt like she would burst anytime."

"But it shouldn't be like that. It usually takes a while for her magic power to even flare up after her body feels uncomfortable. Why does it suddenly change?" Even Ur is confused because it doesn't usually happen.

"Was it because she had so much fun that she didn't feel something like a slight fever?"

"T-that's possible. She hasn't been having fun for so long, after all." Ur feels very sad now because her daughter has suffered so much.

Sometime later, Layla and Lucy arrive with their servants and guards. Ur and Alex are surprised to see them entering the forest even though Layla's body is weak.

"M-Mrs. Layla, I'm so sorry. We almost endanger your daughter and your family. W-we'll just stay in the forest from now on." Ur apologizes to Layla while bowing her head.

"Come on, Ur. I told you to just call me Layla. Don't worry, you aren't endangering us. Your disciple was very quick to take action, so everybody is safe. Also, my daughter is very happy to befriend your daughter and disciple. They also seem happy. Won't it be wrong to separate them and make them sad just because of this?"

"B-but, what if this happens again and we aren't quick enough to take action?"

"Won't it be fine as long as you or Alex-kun stay beside Ultear. I believe you can always detect it whenever it's about to happen, so we won't need to worry. Don't you want to keep playing with Ultear, Lucy? You aren't afraid of her, right?"

"Yes! I like Ultear. I'm not afraid of her. But I'm worried about her. Is she okay?"

Ur tears up a little after hearing Lucy's genuine concern. Ultear doesn't have any girl friends around her age, so it makes Ur happy that she finally has one now.

"I understand. Then we will visit your mansion again after Ultear gets better. She is still unstable now and will be stable once her fever goes down. It might take a day for her to recover, so we might not come tomorrow."

"That's okay. As long as you come again after she gets better."

They almost had a disaster today. Luckily, everything is fine and no one is hurt.
