Fairy Tail: Igneel's eldest son in Anime Multiverse

Chapter 177: Chapter 177: Execution

The burst of speed Charles unleashed not only startled the white-haired demon—it also left Ais visibly stunned. Even with her keen dynamic vision, she couldn't make out how Charles had closed the distance.

The looming sense of death snapped the white-haired demon out of his daze. He stepped back to widen the gap, then launched a punch at Charles.

But facing the incoming fist, Charles had the leisure to roll his neck before casually reaching out to block it.

With a flick of his fingers along the demon's wrist, the white-haired demon felt his entire arm go numb, losing all strength.

Apparently, even after transforming into a monster, his body structure hadn't changed all that much. If anything, it was his mind that had shifted far more radically.

Then Charles delivered a powerful kick to his abdomen, sending the white-haired demon flying.

But he didn't fly far—Charles had caught him by the wrist and yanked him back mid-air.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

In that instant, Charles flawlessly demonstrated how Gojo Satoru toyed with special-grade curses—landing three consecutive punches to the demon's stomach. The final blow even tore open a gaping, bowl-sized hole in his abdomen.

The white-haired demon coughed up blood in great spurts, but his expression quickly twisted into something venomous.

He violently tore his own arm off—ripping skin and muscle together—just to escape Charles's grip.

Charles tossed the severed limb aside and watched as the demon's body began its rapid regeneration, but made no move to pursue.

The last time Charles had fought at full strength was during the subjugation of Amphisbaina. His escapades with Welf on the upper floors didn't even qualify as warming up.

The reason he hadn't gone straight for the kill was simple: he wanted to reacquaint himself with the feel of combat.

The white-haired demon, with his sturdy frame and self-healing abilities, was the perfect punching bag.

Now staring at Charles, the white-haired demon's face betrayed genuine fear. He had never expected this seemingly harmless boy to be so terrifying once he bared his fangs.

"Who the hell are you? How is it that I've never heard of someone like you?"

That was the question tormenting him—and Ais too was staring at Charles's back, waiting for his response.

Charles spoke coldly. "So, you do have contact with the surface."

"Damn you, bastard!"

Furious that his words had unintentionally revealed intel instead of gaining answers, the white-haired demon charged again, forgetting the earlier beatdown in his rage and shame.

Truthfully, his speed was excellent—absolutely on the Level 6 tier. Most adventurers wouldn't even see him move.

But to Charles, he was just too slow.

With one step, Charles intercepted him perfectly. The two engaged in brutal close combat.

The white-haired demon's attacks were relentless. With a monster's sturdy body and regeneration, he fought with reckless abandon—willing to trade blows and gamble everything.

Such a fighting style usually allowed him to overwhelm even foes on his level.

But Charles was no ordinary opponent. His martial prowess was on an entirely different plane.

The demon's attacks were wild, chaotic, and raw—deadly because of sheer force and speed, but lacking discipline.

By contrast, Charles's movements, even in rapid succession, were graceful—each strike precise and effective.

Whether blocking head-on or exploiting openings, Charles masterfully suppressed the demon.

Despite having become a monster, the white-haired demon began to feel genuine despair.

On the other hand, Charles's body was heating up—not just from the physical exertion, but from the thrill of regaining his fighting spirit.

As that sensation ignited within him, his dominance only grew more overwhelming.

From the sidelines, Ais couldn't help but murmur, "Amazing…"

In Orario, adventurers grew stronger through the divine blessing—boosting parameters, magic, skills, and development abilities.

As for technique, it was usually honed through real battles with monsters—a practical kind of strength.

But what Ais saw in Charles was different. It resembled only one man in her memory—the final hero, the Mercenary King: Albert Waldstein.

"You monster!"

The white-haired demon bellowed and threw everything he had into a single punch. Charles mirrored it, and the two fists clashed in midair.

The resulting shockwave blasted Charles's cloak open, but the demon's fist had already collapsed in on itself, every bone in his arm shattered.

Charles sneered. "You're the last person I want calling me a monster."

It did sting a bit, being labeled the same as those transformed by depravity—but Charles let it go. He'd take it as a compliment.

And in return, he would show mercy—by ending it cleanly.

Sensing the killing intent, the white-haired demon's eyes turned blood red.

"No! I can't die yet! I haven't fulfilled her wish! Stop him—NOW!"

The order, of course, wasn't for Charles or Ais—it was for the man-eating flowers that had crawled up from below.

They swarmed toward Charles, and the demon turned to flee.

Ais saw a crimson blur burst from Charles's body, sweeping past the monsters and intercepting the white-haired demon.

The demon had just reached the edge of a pit when something enormous blocked his path.

"ROAR!!!"

A thunderous bellow shook the cavern—Farr, now restored to her ten-meter form, towered in front of him. The searing heat of her flames curled his hair with just proximity.

The demon immediately knew—this majestic, terrifying being was no mere dungeon beast like the bipedal dragons.

One wrong move, and that fireball in her maw would reduce him to ashes.

BOOM.

He felt a blazing wind rush up behind him but dared not turn around. Had he looked, he would've seen all the man-eating flowers turned to ash by Charles's flames.

"Who… are you… really?"

His voice trembled, laced with terror he could no longer hide.

"Just a passing blacksmith."

That was the last thing the white-haired demon ever heard.

The last thing he saw was the inferno erupting from Farr's mouth.
