Extra's POV: My Obsessive Villainous Fiancee Is The Game's Final Boss

Chapter 103: Angels From Heaven

The light slowly dimmed into nothingness, and the energy, which had covered the whole place, disappeared completely.

All that was left was Lilith, standing there with just one major difference. Her hair was now a permanent pure white.

Ren stared at her, awe-struck. She looked beautiful! It was as if the aura of death that had previously hung around her had disappeared, replaced by an aura of life.

Without thinking, he pulled her into a hug, his arms tight around her as if she might disappear. His grip trembled slightly, the rush of relief making it hard to let go.

"Lilith…" He whispered against her shoulder. "What just happened?"

Lilith slowly exhaled, still adjusting to the change. "I don't know." She whispered into his chest. "My soul feels… different. Something has changed but my Soul Dominion won't let me see what it is."

"I think…" she hesitated, "I think my soul is stronger."

"Yeah, no shit." Ren laughed, the sound carrying every wave of relief he was feeling at that moment.

He pulled back slightly, studying her glowing crimson eyes. Her skin looked healthier and coupled with her white hair, she looked absolutely mesmerizing. "You're beautiful." The words slipped out without his consent.

Lilith chuckled in response. "You don't look too bad yourself."

She pointed and as he followed the direction her finger was pointing, he almost did a double take.

Standing and holding Lilith in the mirror across from them was a young man that was him and at the same time not him. Where he'd looked ordinary, the person looked handsome. Ethereally handsome, like an anime protagonist.

Together with Lilith, they both looked like an angelic couple descending from the heavens.

He opened his mouth and the man opened his. "What in the heavenly hells…" he trailed off.

"I'm not the only one who changed, Ren." Lilith whispered.

Ren stared at himself for a few seconds longer before blinking and tearing his gaze away.

"It doesn't matter. We can figure out what all these mean later." He turned to Lilith, relief appearing once more on his face. "Right now, I'm just glad you're okay."

Before she could respond, the door swung open.

Elias stepped in, balancing a tray of food in his hand, until his eyes landed on Lilith. The tray clattered to the floor, food spilling everywhere.

"Lilith?"

Ren blinked, stepping back as Elias rushed forward, pulling her into a tight, fatherly embrace. His hands trembled slightly as he held her close. "You're okay." He muttered, his voice thick with emotion. "I was so damn worried…"

Lilith softened, hugging him back. "I'm fine, Elias."

Elias pulled away, looking her over in amazement. "What happened? Are you completely fine? What about Prince Anders?"

Ren cleared his throat. "Anders won't be doing anything to anyone ever again."

Elias' gaze snapped to him, his eyes widening in understanding. "You k—" he paused. "He's dead?"

Ren nodded. "And we got the antidote."

Elias let out a shaky breath, rubbing a hand over his face. "Thank you, Ren." His voice was filled with a deep, genuine gratitude.

Ren opened his mouth but as was becoming the norm, was interrupted as the door swung open again.

Thorn strolled in, pausing mid-step as he took in the scene. His gaze flickered between Lilith and the pile of chests in the middle of the room.

"Alright," he drawled, eyeing Lilith's hair. "What the hell did I miss?"

Ren chuckled. "A lot."

Thorn shook his head, smirking. "And here I was, already fully prepared to console everyone for a few more hours."

Ren flipped him off and they all chuckled.

Thorn's eyes drifted back toward the stacked chests.

"Uh. Hate to interrupt the wholesome moment, but… why does this room look like a royal treasury?"

Ren smirked. "That would be my personal fortune."

Thorn whistled. "Damn. And where did you steal this from?"

Ren shrugged. "The previous owner doesn't need it anymore."

Elias raised an eyebrow. "And the money from your bet with Vesper?"

"That belongs to the Ross family." Ren said. "This? This is mine."

"I see." Thorn crossed his arms. "So, where exactly are you planning to keep what I'm sure is more than half a million gold coins? Since I'm getting the sense that you want to keep this secret."

In response, Ren grinned and snagged a coin pouch from the nearby table. Drawing his dagger, he sliced his palm open, letting his soul-infused blood drip onto the pouch.

As they watched, the blood sank into the pouch and vanished. Ren felt a tingling race across his body as he focused his will on the pouch and manifested what he wanted.

"There." He grinned confidently. "An imbued coin pouch."

The other occupants of the room stared blankly at him.

He sighed and began to explain as he began pumping soul energy from the vast stores Lilith had given him into the pouch. "I imbued the pouch to have more space inside it than this room. Not just that but it'll also keep its normal weight."

The pouch kept drinking energy ravenously, the imbuements he'd created slowly taking shape.

Ren raised the pouch with a smirk. "And the best part," just as he expected, Thorn reached for the pouch, but his hand phased straight through it. "…It can't be stolen." Ren finished.

Thorn blinked before laughing. "So, if only you can touch it, does that mean I'd have to sit here and enjoy watching you manually transfer every single coin?"

Ren smirked, tossing the pouch at him. "Nah. I can let others touch it if I allow them. Have fun filling it."

Thorn caught it, grinning. "You're gonna owe me drinks for this."

Ren turned back to Lilith, his expression growing serious. "I need to tell you something."

Her eyes met his. "What is it?"

He inhaled. "Octavian was here."

Lilith's eyes darkened.

"He came to kill you." Ren continued. "I took him somewhere… isolated. Somewhere we can face him on our own." He lowered his voice. "Somewhere no one will know if you decide to kill him."

Lilith didn't react at first, but the air in the room felt heavier as her eyes narrowed.

Thorn and Elias both glanced at her, waiting. Even they recognized that this moment belonged to Lilith.

Then, she looked up at Ren with a nod. "Take me to him."
