Extra's Harem: Invincibility Starts with Marriage and lots of Children

Chapter 150- Olea should keep quiet

Her fists clenched, but she breathed in, controlling herself. "I'll apologize if that's what you want. But don't play games with me. You said you knew. So talk."

"What will I get?" Kyle inquired, looking towards her as he could clearly see the potential for gossip within the nobility.

He wanted to create a stir about how the daughter of the Crutrain house had pulled away the illegitimate son of the Arcutus family.

"What do you want? Tell me," Ruvina enquired. Her hand gripped the stone railing as its hard surface started to visibly crack due to the force of her grip. Angered, she doubted if he was lying, but considering the rumors that the last man who saw her father on the battlefield was Duke Arcutus, the chances of him betraying her now possessing the artifact were definitely possible.

"Hm, let's see…" Kyle drawled, his gaze sweeping over her from head to toe—to use her own mind against her.

'Th-this....' Ruvina felt her heart spark in the moment, but Kyle was observing her body with a lustful gaze, causing her demeanor to turn cold as she realized what exactly he wanted from her.

Before Ruvina could react, he stepped in—too close—plucked the delicate fan from her fingers, and casually tucked it into his robe.

Her eyes narrowed, clearly confused. When he neared her, she thought he could seize the chance to kiss her while she was prepared to retaliate, but he just snatched her fan. "What—"

But her first recorded voice was out of confusion.

A sudden splash silenced her.

Cool lake water dripped from her lashes, trailing down her cheek as she stood, blinking in shock.

Kyle had cupped his hand into the lake and thrown it at her face, without letting her even think, without hesitation.

"You looked a little too perfect," he murmured. Clearly, they were about to create a good scandal.

"H-how dare you—" she growled, stepping forward, but froze when his fingers rose—not to strike or provoke, but to gently brush across her lower lip with his thumb.

The golden lipstick smeared.

"There we go," he whispered, as if correcting a mistake. "Too much gold hides the woman."

Her breath caught for a second—not out of fear, but disbelief. She raised a hand to slap him—

He caught it mid-air. Not harshly. Almost tender.

Naturally, there was no force in her slap; it was just an instinctive reaction, tempered by the knowledge that he was aware of her family heirloom.

"Come on, wasn't it you who said you would do anything?" Kyle reminded her, making her hesitate. Her heart was completely confused, clearly expecting this man to be the same as others, just wanting her body while using her need to blackmail her.

And then, with a flick of his wrist, he pulled the silver hairpin from her braid, letting her hair tumble down, loose and wild, strands dancing in the moonlight.

"Now that's perfect," Kyle said, seeing the perfect image in front of him, which was going to become a live announcement board to create misunderstanding and teach this woman a lesson to not ever consider him the same as other men, before he turned, opening the fan like hers, covering her mouth as he added, "Meet me alone tomorrow at the royal inn's third branch, and I will talk further there as the prince has just arrived."

"What?", Ruvina stood there completely bewildered. As she saw him just leaving like that, he turned and left the place without even giving her the chance to speak further as she stood with her hair disheveled, lipstick smeared, and the fan gone.

---

'Is he still not here?', Kyle thought as he moved towards the banquet. After dealing with his job, he didn't have any prior plans, as he didn't know who would attend the banquet.

However, after seeing that snake of a woman whom he wanted to teach a lesson to simply because he didn't like her character.

He arrived at the banquet with a fan in hand, looking towards the gate where Prince Orian still hadn't arrived.

It was a formality and a culture where the host of the party arrived late, after every guest had arrived.

So, naturally, it was going to take time, but he was also relaxed, considering how the fan in his hand was enough to start some gossip.

"Wait, isn't that Lady Ruvina's fan? Why is that with him?"

"Where is she—Gasp!"

"Isn't that Lady Ruvina? Look at her—hair undone, lipstick smeared—did she fall in the lake?"

"Just look closely, she isn't wet at all.... even a madman could tell what happened."

"N-no, doesn't she already have a fiancé?"

"Shh, she might hear us."

All the murmurs one after another were enough to cause a smirk to form on Kyle's face as he just received what he wanted while leaving Ruvina, who stood in the banquet looking towards him intensely as he moved, approaching Mialthara.

// Husband, did something happen there? //

came directly into his head, belonging to Aleriana, who seemed to want to get the live update on what was happening there.

'Nope, nothing, everything is just alright, Orion is yet to come,' Kyle just gave the truth without telling about the encounter with Ruvina, as there was no need, and with the telepathic voice, she could not even see what was happening here.

// Olea, tell me what happened. //

'Like hell she will,' Kyle felt like laughing, considering they both might be fooled by Aleriana, but now, having realized her game, they were not the least going to fall for it again.

He and Olea were now comrades in arms, soulmates who could never betray each other.

// Princess.... He just made Ruvina's Crutrain's hair disheveled and lipstick smeared after arriving with her alone near the lake. //

'!'

'Wait, wait, WAIT!', Kyle heard Olea giving the live report of things which were clearly a thunderstruck to him, considering he never expected for her to betray him, let alone betray him in the way she told; those words were clearly causing misunderstanding.

//.....I am waiting, husband.//
