Extra's Death: I Am the Son of Hades

Chapter 340: Talent

Neo spoke aloud this time.

He saw no point in using telepathy since Velkaria was practically shouting like a rooster in the morning.

'But… but she feels weak.'

"She is holding back her presence.

"This is an academy with Awakeners and Mythic Demigods.

"They would suffer damage if the Exalted Demigods like her in the academy weren't holding back their auras."

Velkaria turned back to Charlotte.

Her voice took a submissive tone.

'I apologize for my earlier outburst.'

'I have a mental condition that makes me stupid.'

'Please don't take offense to my words.'

"Uhh…."

Charlotte had no words.

She was stunned, as she processed the strange apology.

She had expected Neo to hide the Void Entity, since anyone related to Void Entities could be executed.

Neo did the opposite, and it seemed the Void Entity was not a normal Void Entity, judging by its powerful Void affinity.

"It's an Angel," Neo said.

'Shut up, bitch! Are you trying to get me killed!?'

The eye glared at Neo before looking at Charlotte.

'Hahaha, he is joking. Please don't believe him.'

"The Angel of an Outer God, to be exact," Neo said, ignoring Velkaria.

Velkaria turned her eye toward Neo, her gaze narrowing.

'I hate you, asshole.'

The Angel gave up trying to give excuses and dipped into the Shadow Space.

The shadows rippled slightly before settling.

If the Angel was going to get killed, it saw no point in protesting and decided to rest until then.

"…"

Charlotte closed her eyes and massaged them, exhaling softly.

The scent of herbal tea lingered in the air as she reopened her eyes, fixing Neo with a stern look.

"Housing an Angel of an Outer God.

"Even I can't save you from being executed for this.

"So why reveal it to me? I was planning to overlook it, since I thought it was a normal Void Entity," Charlotte questioned.

"I'm preparing a witness."

"For what?"

Instead of answering, Neo explained something else.

"I came out of the Shadow World. Everything there was made of shadow elementals. Everything."

"Are you trying to say…."

"Yes, the Angel is a Shadow."

"It seemed real to me, not a Shadow."

"That's because it came from a 100% synchro Shadow World."

"What!?"

Charlotte's eyes widened.

It was Neo's first time seeing her surprised.

"A 100% Synchro Shadow World? Why did the Shadow Supreme send you to a place like that?

"No, forget that.

"Tell me, where did you two go? Past, present, future, or was it another world's Shadow World?" she demanded, leaning forward, her hands pressing into the desk.

"…."

Neo remained silent.

Charlotte stared at him hard before she sighed again and sank back into her chair.

The worn leather creaked slightly under her weight.

"Never mind. If you aren't planning to tell me, I can't force you."

She looked at Jack and questioned with her gaze sharp,

"Is this why he lost his powers?"

"Yes," Jack answered. "I was tainted by Void."

"So you have Void affinity now?"

"I do."

"I see," Charlotte said.

She felt a headache incoming.

"I don't know if you know this, but among the countless enemies our world has, Outer Gods are one of them.

"They are the most dangerous enemies of ours.

"Just having Void Affinity means you came in contact with them, since Void affinity can be gained only by coming in contact with them.

"If your Void Affinity awakens, everyone will know you have the Void affinity.

"It will be believed you are in cahoots with the Outer Gods.

"You will be chased to the end of Blood Sea and executed when caught."

She rubbed her temples gently.

"Don't try to awaken the Void affinity," she warned.

"Understood," Jack said, but his gaze said something else.

"Why can't I have a normal time during my last days?"

Charlotte sighed, noting his reaction.

She looked at Neo, who remained composed.

"The Angel you have is a Shadow. I suppose you want me to be a witness to that fact?"

"Yes, since you are the principal of the demigod academy, your words carry a lot of weight."

"Fine, I will act as your witness," she said reluctantly.

Charlotte wanted to refuse, but thoughts of Elizabeth made her agree.

She talked a bit more before allowing them to leave.

Just as Neo and Jack were about to stand, Charlotte suddenly spoke,

"Jack, go meet Professor Rundel.

"He will turn your body's time back and help your physical age return to that of a teenager," Charlotte said.

"Huh?" Jack blinked, confused.

"Why are you looking at me like that?

"Aren't you going to continue studying in the academy?" Charlotte's gaze was calm yet stern.

"But… I'm not a kid anymore?"

"The academy doesn't have an age restriction. We only accept students depending on whether they have talent or not.

"You have talent. That's why we will help you regain your powers.
Stay tuned for updates on empire

"Of course, if you want to leave the academy, we won't stop you," Charlotte said, folding her hands on the desk.

Neo, on the side, was surprised.

It was his first time hearing something like this.

'Does that mean I have talent too?' he thought with furrowed brows.

Charlotte noticed Neo's expression and offered a bitter smile.

"Your case is a bit unique."
