Chapter 379: The Intrusion At Biskivill Manor
The warm afternoon sun had begun its slow descent, casting long shadows across the busy streets of Biskivill. Inside the massive Biskivill Manor, Lady Bella Von Biskivill was seated at the head of a large, carved wooden table in the meeting hall.
The room was filled with advisors, merchants, and key figures from the region, all engaged in a heated discussion about the latest trade negotiations.
Lady Bella, listened intently to the debates. Although she had managed to lead Biskivill to new hights, she knew the men at the table still couldn't help but look down on her, for one simple reason. She was a woman!
Normally only a man was allowed to function as the head of a house, but Lady Bella's sons were both too young to take on such a role, and thus she was the one bearing the responsibilities.
And it was obvious the men at the table didn't approve of it, though they didn't openly express their opinions.
Suddenly, the doors to the meeting hall burst open. A breathless guardsman stumbled in, his face pale and his eyes wide with fear. "My Lady!" he gasped, his voice shaking. "Intruders at the manor gates!"
The room fell silent, all eyes turning to the guardsman. Lady Bella's gaze hardened. "What kind of intruders?" she saked, rising from her seat.
"Two figures," the guardsman stammered. "A man and a woman. They... they possess an aura unlike anything we've seen. Our defenses are crumbling before them."
Before the guardsman could continue, an earth-shattering boom echoed through the manor, followed by the sound of splintering wood and the crash of stone. The meeting hall trembled as if the very foundations of the manor were being torn apart.
Outside, at the gates of Biskivill Manor, Kaldarix and Mellin stood in the chaos they had unleashed. The gates were in ruins at their feet, twisted and shattered by their overwhelming power.
Kaldarix was giving off an aura that sent a shiver down the spines of all who gazed upon him. His eyes, glowing with a golden hue, he easily obliterated any guard that dared to stand before him.
With a flick of his wrist, Kaldarix sent a pulse of golden mana surging through the air. It struck the advancing guards, sending them flying backwards like ragdolls. "You call this defense? For the home of a lord?" he scoffed, his voice dripping with disdain. "Pathetic."
Mellin, standing beside him, looked around the scene with a cold gaze. Her presence was equally impressive, and the air around her crackled with frost. She raised a hand, and a swirling vortex of icy wind erupted from her palm, freezing the ground and enveloping the remaining guards in a blizzard of ice shards.
"We shouldn't waste too much time here my lord," Mellin said, her voice cutting through the air like a blade. "Let's finish this quickly."
Together, they strode forward, the manor's defenses crumbling before them. Stone walls cracked and shattered under Kaldarix's attacks, while Mellin's ice magic froze and fractured anything in their path.
Inside the meeting hall, the sounds of destruction grew louder, closer. Lady Bella turned to her advisors, her expression resolute. "Prepare to defend the manor," she commanded. "We cannot let these intruders reach us without a fight."
As the advisors slowly left the room Lady Bella grabbed the arm of a gruff man with a scar across his face and a massive beard, "Sir Mendnol," Lady Bella spoke softly, she then added, "Find a way to contact the adventurers, I am certain there is something wrong here."
"Your instincts again?" He asked.
"Yes, I can tell our guards will not be able to stand up aganist the people intruding." Ledy bella replied with a slight grim tone, her gaze downcast.
She then added, as she tightened her hand around a pendant that was around her neck. "I feel like this place has been shrouded by some Vail that would cause it to dissappear from sight, although I am not certain of what this means I would like for us to be better safe then sorry."
Her tone sounded somewhat strange, almost as if she was certain doom approached, and without the help of the adventurers she wouldn't be able to survive.

Or at least that is what one would assume from the way she was talking.
Sir Mendnol bowed his head slightly as he said, "If that is what you wish my lady I will see what I can do."
…..
As Kaldarix and Mellin made their way through the ruined gates of Biskivill Manor, the home was thrown into chaos. The guards were no match for the overwhelming power of the intruders.
Kaldarix raised his hand, and gold tendrils snaked through the air, cutting through the guards like blades. One by one, they fell, their screams silenced almost as soon as they began. The ground was quickly becoming a blood-soaked battlefield, and Kaldarix seemed indifferent to the destruction he caused.
Mellin, by his side, swirled her hands around like a storm, freezing the air and biting into the flesh of any who dared to come near. She conjured sharp icicles from the air, sending them hurtling towards the guards, impaling them. The frozen shards shattered upon impact, leaving behind a scene of lifeless bodies.
Inside the manor, Lady Bella ran through the corridors, her heart pounding in her chest. She had to reach her sons. The sounds of battle were getting closer, and the walls trembled with each explosion. She burst into a room, where her two young boys were huddled together, their faces pale with fear.
"Mother, what's happening?" the elder of the two, a boy of eight named Edmund, asked, his voice trembling.
Lady Bella knelt before them, trying to keep her own fear at bay. "It's going to be alright, my loves," she said softly, brushing a strand of hair from Edmund's face. "We need to find a safe place to hide."
A guard, bloodied and breathing heavily, appeared in the doorway. "My Lady," he panted, "you must evacuate with the young lords. The intruders are already inside the manor. We can't hold them back."
Before she could respond, a tremendous boom echoed from the lower floors, shaking the entire manor. Lady Bella's eyes widened as she realized the gravity of the situation. "They've breached the defenses," she whispered, more to herself than anyone else.
