Enemies Are All Nourishment for My Fungi

Chapter 316: Capturing Prisoners at the Wizard Academy

Ye Nai, upon hearing this, had her head pop up with a string of question marks.

"My associates have been found? Have you seen clearly? Are they really my associates? Not someone else impersonating them?"

"The difference between the people of two worlds is huge, I'm just old, I'm not blind!"

The old Duke was so angry he almost had a heart attack.

But the Duchess by his side was quite calm, seemingly indifferent to her husband's life or death.

Ye Nai didn't care about the marital issues between these nobles, but the old Duke's words had also changed her expression.

"Oh, I hadn't noticed, the Duke had been to Blue Star. What places did you visit? Did you see anything interesting?"

"Heh, a pile of ruins, a wild wasteland, not even as convenient as my capital city. There was nothing worth seeing."

The old Duke's disdainful expression confirmed to Ye Nai that he hadn't been to the land of Dahua Country back then.

"My great planet was turned into ruins all because of you. Before, we couldn't find a way here, but from now on, your planet will be a territory of Blue Star, and you, a war criminal, will be on the scaffold."

Ye Nai deliberately made a face as if hanging by the tongue.

The Duchess was startled.

However, the old Duke stubbornly refused to believe it.

"I am a Duke, even if I am defeated, it's impossible for me to face the scaffold."

"Old man, were your experiences on Blue Star all for nothing? Didn't anyone tell you about the resilient country on Blue Star that you fought for over ten years, only for your own armies to be driven back to the Space Channel, now stuck at the borders without even crossing the buffer zone?"

Ye Nai watched the old Duke's face suddenly change with a pleased smile, obviously reminded by her words of such an incident.

This further confirmed that the place he had stayed at wasn't facing the front lines against Dahua Country.

Anyone who had clashed with Dahua Country at the front lines couldn't possibly forget the relentless bombings.

"Oh no, you're from that country..."

Ye Nai grinned viciously, "We've come for revenge, clean your neck and wait for death."

"Avenger, has your strength reached that of a Great Witch now? Are you a Great Witch?"

The Duchess, seemingly indifferent to her husband's fate, suddenly spoke up.

"I don't know, but the knights and people from the Baron's House all call me Great Witch."

"I thought so, without the strength of a Great Witch, one cannot breach into the main city of the Duke Domain."

"Well, then consider me the Great Witch. Old Lady, do you have anything to say?"

"War was initiated by men, they constantly fight, I won't plead for him, but I want to trade all our family wealth for the life of my children."

"You are all my prisoners now, I have captured you, and your family wealth, including the territory, belongs to me. Madam, you have nothing to trade with me."

The old lady swallowed hard and closed her eyes in despair.

"Back to the main subject, where did my group of associates run off to?"

"..."

All was quiet, and the Duchess who could speak didn't answer her.

Ye Nai's gaze shifted towards the other family members.

Those people earnestly looked at her, but it wasn't clear who could answer her question.

After picking through, she finally chose the oldest male, lifted the restriction on his speech, and then grabbed the old Duke couple's vocal cords.

"Who are you? Looking at your age, are you the heir?"

"No, I am not the heir, I am the third oldest in the family."

"Where are your two elder brothers?"

"My eldest brother died from illness, and my second brother is on the front lines; he is the heir."

"So, if he doesn't come back, will it be your turn?"

"Yes."

"Have you seen my accomplices? Do you know where they ran off to?"

"I haven't seen them, I only know that they caused chaos in the city, then rushed out just before the city gates were closed."

"Which city gate did they rush out of?"

"It seems they headed towards the West Suburb."

"West Suburb? Isn't there a Wizard Academy there? Was the academy on holiday that day?"

"The academy was on holiday? Then they definitely stormed into the academy!"

Ye Nai immediately decided that she had to visit the academy, as she couldn't allow a group of strangers to disrupt it.

She released a spore to find the exact location of the Wizard Academy, then she took a family photo of all the Duke's family members on the ground, gathered them into the Space, leaving the servants and guards untouched.

While awaiting feedback from the spore, she also took the opportunity to clean out all the important valuables from the mansion, specifically packing up their clothes this time, considering it a provision for their changing needs.

Once all was done, the spore sent back the coordinates of the Wizard Academy.

Ye Nai didn't rush to depart; she remembered other luxurious buildings in the city and visited each one in turn.

The signs indicated that some of these places were government buildings, others belonged to the Wizard Association.

But it was too early, and the doors hadn't opened yet; those knocked down by the spore were merely simply dressed servants or guards.

Ye Nai then swept clean all the valuables from top to bottom.

After finishing all those tasks, she finally used Space Teleportation to jump to the Wizard Academy in the West Suburb.

The landing point was directly inside the academy's gates in a large courtyard composed of several grass plots, interlaced with beautiful stone paths that made no sound when stepped on.

At the same time, there was not a single human voice.

Ye Nai looked around and saw the remains of thick roots on the ground by the walls on both sides of the gate, their quantity suggesting that the academy might have been previously enclosed in a defense made up of numerous branches grown through Wood Element Magic.

But the spore was much too powerful, having broken through this layer of defense and only leaving some residual roots under the wall's foundation.

The spore sent back coordinates indicating that there were many people hidden in the basement.

Ye Nai directly ordered the spore to gather the people into the Space and then released them on the lawn.

While the spore worked, Ye Nai curiously looked at the building facing the academy's main gate across the lawn.

The doors and large windows were there, but the windows were divided into small sections before being fitted with glass, making her wonder whether this architectural style was by preference or simply because they couldn't manufacture large flat panes of window glass.

Looking up along the windows towards the roof, she saw three native flags fluttering in the wind.

Those flags irked her, and she used Space Teleportation to get to the flags.

When she got closer, she realized the flags were placed on a flag stand, which was part of the whole rooftop terrace.

Ye Nai removed those flags and replaced them with her own, simultaneously taking in the view outside, noticing that the academy was even closer to the base of the mountain than she had estimated, a distance of just a few kilometers, easily walkable.

She was just about to complain about the proximity and the possible security risk it posed to the teachers and students before reconsidering that it wasn't necessarily unsafe. If someone were being chased by mutant beasts or plants from the mountains, as long as they ran quickly, they could definitely make it back to the academy alive.

From this perspective, the proximity wasn't problematic.

Just then, the spore completed its task, and all the people from the basement had been forcibly gathered into the Space.

Ye Nai didn't return to the ground but directly poured out a heap of male and female wizards and academy servants from the Space.
