Endless Horde: Through the Eyes of a Godking

Chapter 555: Acala's Blessings

--

Losing Acala as Prime Earth's spiritual consciousness should've originally caused a decline. Without her, luck wouldn't truly favor humans, which will hinder their development. It was for this very reason that the Demon Race wanted to capture her alive.

But the current scenario wasn't a horrible thing. Acala didn't die; she evolved and ascended to a cosmic spirit. Prime Earth might've lost her, but it doesn't mean that she abandoned it and its citizens.

Turning into the spiritual consciousness of Solaris Prime not only elevated Acala's power and domain; it also added more abilities to her, making her more versatile. However, as a spiritual consciousness, all of her abilities lie in nurturing her 'physical form.' Solaris Prime was just as much of a prison to her as it is a garden.

Still, evolving this way was favorable to her. After all, a spiritual consciousness like hers had a very limited path towards evolution. She also understands that it would've normally taken a long time and tons of epic resources to help her evolve, but all of that was solved because she had Cedric's help.

Furthermore, Cedric turned her into a unique existence with his means. Because unlike other Cosmic Spirits, Acala was capable of producing Chaos Energy, which is not only helpful to her but also to everything else within her domain.

Sure, she doesn't produce much, certainly not as much as Cedric could produce in a day, but this was already way better than nothing.

Moreover, possessing the capability to produce Chaos Energy unlocked something within her. It's a memory buried within her existence, one that she never thought she had until now. It's this deep sense of familiarity and connection with the Primordial Chaos. Right now, this memory was blurry at best, but again, it's better than nothing. Had Cedric refrained from using Chaos Energy to help her evolve, she would've never awakened these memories at all. It would take some time before the memory becomes clear to her, though, but she's looking forward to that day.

Despite not being the World Spirit of Prime Earth anymore, Acala still heavily favored Prime Earth. It was, after all, her former shell. She had shared highs and lows with it, and that connection wasn't so easily severed by a simple evolution.

And since she's a Cosmic Spirit now, the things she could do were obviously greater and grander than before. Her blessings were even more potent than before, and it would really help humanity advance even faster than before.

Acala was mentally spent after her evolution, though. Which is why she needed to slumber for a bit. Fortunately, her diligent work in the tower earned her some PTO, which she will use to recover until she's ready to return.

But before she fell into a short slumber, she used her improved abilities to elevate the overall consciousness and luck of humans and Prime Earth. This way, humans would experience enlightenment, which will point them to the road forward, and their development will progress, which in turn will also elevate their world as well.

Cedric watched all this happen and didn't stop it. Why would he when that's precisely what he wanted? It's for this reason he helped her evolve, after all.

While Acala wasn't truly in any danger in here, Cedric wasn't one to take chances. So, as she fell into a short slumber, he used his abilities to erect a cosmic formation to protect her. Once he's satisfied, he shifts his focus to Prime Earth.

Since the phenomenon of Acala's advancement was over, Cedric lifted the shroud he placed on the worlds earlier. The majority of them remained unaware of what happened, which was within Cedric's considerations.

At the same time, Cedric was also observing Acala's blessing working its magic.

Unleashing his divine vision, he was able to see the world differently, allowing him to see what was usually unseen. Acala's blessing to humanity and Prime Earth registered as an aurora tide blanketing its targets. Actually, instead of a tide, it's more like a tsunami since Acala didn't hold back. In Cedric's vision, Prime Earth was submerged into a sea of colorful rainbows, much more compared to other worlds that humanity terraformed.

Looking further, Cedric could see people unknowingly absorbing this aurora. The absorption rate varies; some people absorbed too little, while others unconsciously devoured it like a starved man.

This colorful sea of aurora was, in fact, luck, fortune, and destiny. Ethereal and mysterious properties that greatly affected someone are also the things that determine how far they'd be able to go into the future.

As a human himself and a local of Prime Earth, Cedric had his fair share of this aurora. However, at his current level, this barely had any effect on him.

Now that he sees it, Cedric understands why, and it gives more insights about his current cultivation.

To put things simply, Cedric was no longer someone who could be affected by these unstable factors. Since stepping into Void Refinement, his fate could no longer be influenced by luck, fortune, or destiny. It was his to control. He's no longer a gear that will contribute to pushing the great cosmic machine forward. He was now its passenger.

If he wants to be a driver, though, he's going to need more than what he has right now. And that's what he should figure out moving forward.

Anyway, things like luck, fortune, destiny, and other unstable factors could no longer affect him. Cedric's fate was in his hands; therefore, Acala's blessing meant nothing to him. Still, he appreciates it greatly because if it weren't for this, he wouldn't have been able to realize this.

But Cedric was Cedric. Just because these factors no longer had an effect on him, it doesn't mean that it's the same for others.

For the civilization to progress, these unseen factors were just as important as the rest. Moreover, humans that haven't reached his level yet could benefit immensely from the favor of luck and fortune.

With the abundance of luck, fortune, and density, it would be easier for humanity to move forward.

Cedric could actually see the effects of Acala's blessings immediately. He saw several people, most of them the great minds behind the development of humanity, falling into an enlightenment trance.

The problems that have troubled them for quite some time now have been effortlessly solved just like that. They're even receiving more inspirations as they go, advancing the potential of humanity by decades or even centuries at this point.

Those who voraciously absorbed luck and fortune were destined to become humanity's next giants. Some might even venture out of the realm to make a name for themselves. Others might even stand before Cedric in the near future as his ally or subordinate.

Cedric wasn't a prophet or anything; he couldn't see the future, nor was he interested in being spoiled. However, he could assume this much through logical reasoning.

All in all, humanity's future just became even brighter, and Cedric was greatly satisfied.

**

Helping Acala evolve into a Cosmic Spirit was the limit of what he could do.

This isn't to say that he has run out of ideas, resources, etc. This limit was because he didn't want to breach or disrespect Godwyn's title as Solaris Prime's Governor.

Cedric was already overstepping his bounds by acting without Godwyn here. Anything else he does that concerns this cosmic realm without bringing it up with Godwyn could be seen as an insult to the governor. It doesn't matter if he was the previous governor or that the current governor was his son; it won't erase the fact that he was being disrespectful.

That's why this was the last thing that Cedric would do behind his son's back.

Actually, the plan to help Acala evolve into a World Spirit has always been one of their priorities. However, because the resources needed to do it were too rare and expensive, both father and son could only postpone it. They initially planned on slowly accumulating the resources needed for it, but who would've thought that Cedric would come to possess something that's even better than any resources out there?

During their weekly family dinner in the Virtual Universe, Godwyn told him that he wouldn't mind owing favors in exchange for the resources Acala needs. Cedric warned him against it, saying that he must be very careful about doing so because it might lead to his doom. He repeatedly reminded him to be cautious and think thrice before trusting others.

Forming connections was fine. Doing business with them is great. But trusting someone completely was an entirely different thing.

Godwyn kept this lesson to heart, which was also why he wasn't able to collect the resources needed. But that's no longer a problem now. Cedric made a move himself to prevent his son from owing too many favors.

With this problem solved, Cedric returned to the Sky Castle. His wives were already waiting for him there so that they could share a meal together.

However, in the middle of their lunch, Cedric looked up and wore a knowing smile. He turned to his wives and said:

"You might want to make some more food. Our kids have returned."
