Chapter 15 - The Crashed Plane, Wild Men, Forest?
20 zombies was not too many or too few. After much effort, Lin Feng finally cleared all the zombies in about 10 minutes. However, he made the elevator dirty in the process.
Luckily no zombie blood splashed onto the bed.
He could clean the floor later. For now, Lin Feng hurried to search the floor for useful items.
“Ding, host task completed. Reward automatically deposited in the elevator. Please check.”
After taking the supply box, Lin Feng returned to the elevator. There was nothing else useful left in the supermarket floor.
Most were just empty shelves, and they were not even made of metal.
Back in the elevator, Lin Feng casually put down the supply box. It was probably plastic so he couldn’t use it to upgrade the elevator, but it could still serve as a storage box.
“Sigh, I still have to clean up the bloodstains.”
Lin Feng sighed. Looking around, besides the clothes he was wearing, there didn’t seem to be anything he could use as a rag.
The zombie clothes outside were covered in bloodstains too. He should have taken the clothes off the few humans he killed earlier.
Lin Feng thought about it and decided to trade for a piece of clothing on the chatroom.
Lin Feng: [Anyone willing to trade a bottle of water for a piece of clothing?]
[Damn, boss, you’re here to give out welfare!]
[Sh*t, who’s so fast, I was just about to trade!]
[It’s just a bottle of water, do you guys have to be so excited? Boss, I have lots of clothes, do you want them?]
[Please sell another bottle of water, boss! I haven’t found any water exploring the floors these past few days, I’m dying of thirst!]
…
Lin Feng’s bottled water drew much excitement from the chatroom, especially from those who had not found water. Understandably, people were unwilling to give up these life-sustaining resources. Thus trading situations like this occurred.
Lin Feng had wanted to trade antibiotics originally. But based on experience, those only appeared in wasteland floors, making them precious. Using them to trade for clothes seemed extravagant.
Soon the trade was completed. Since it was just a piece of clothing, Lin Feng extracted it without much thought.
Only when he got it in hand did he realize something was wrong.
Who the hell traded their bra to him??
Lin Feng squeezed it. There was residual warmth. The original owner must be quite amply sized.
Oh well, beggars can’t be choosers.
Lin Feng threw the bra on the floor and started scrubbing.
With limited conditions, this was the best he could do. As long as he cleaned off the bloodstains it was good enough.
Soon, before the elevator doors closed, Lin Feng wiped the floor clean and casually tossed the bra out.
“Roar!”
“Hungry?”
Seeing the little raptor gnawing at his pants, Lin Feng guessed it must be hungry.
He had to admit, this little thing ate a lot.
Lin Feng took out a piece of meat from his backpack and threw it to the raptor.
He then fiddled with the electromagnetic stove rewarded by the system.
He didn’t know what black technology this was, but it could actually heat up without electricity or other energy sources.
Lin Feng touched the pot bottom. The temperature rose quickly.
After so many days, he could finally eat something hot.
…
After heating and eating a can of food, Lin Feng continued his workout while the little raptor napped on the floor.
“Just 20 kg more wood, 20 kg more iron, and 6 more gold coins to upgrade the elevator.”
After a few hours of training, Lin Feng checked the upgrade requirements.
If he could get 6 gold coins on the next floor, he could upgrade his elevator again.
There were still 3 fish in the pool. If he didn’t process them soon, they would probably be gone by tomorrow. Since he had other food now, he might as well sell all the fish.
Naturally he would trade for gold coins. At 2 coins per big fish, selling all would give Lin Feng exactly enough to upgrade his elevator.
Surely there were still unfortunate souls who hadn’t solved their food situation.
While gold coins were important, nothing was more important than staying alive!
The chatroom was still lively. It seemed to never quiet down. Only now did Lin Feng notice a number at the top of the chatroom interface.
3,585,262,159
“Could this be the number of survivors participating in the Elevator Survival Game?”
35 billion people. No wonder the chatroom messages never stopped.
Checking the time, it was already 7pm. Time to sleep.
…
“Ding, next floor is Forest Floor. There is a crashed plane which may contain useful items. 5 cannibal tribesmen, 2 mountain goats. Host please be careful.”
“Ding! Triggered bounty mission – Enter floor, kill tribesmen, 1 gold coin per kill.”
Forest floor, crashed plane? Why did this sound so familiar?
Lin Feng remembered seeing a similar scene somewhere before.
After washing up, Lin Feng waited quietly.
Soon, the elevator began moving.
[Ding dong! Elevator descending, please hold on.]
Upon entering the floor, Lin Feng finally realized why the scene felt familiar.
Wasn’t this the spawn point forest in that game!
It was identical.
Except the air hostess corpse and fire ax were missing on the plane.
According to his gaming experience, Lin Feng remembered there was a lot of food and medicine on the plane.
Looking around, he did find a lot of food, but it had all spoiled with mold, leaving only two intact cans.
After searching around the plane, the only unopened suitcase Lin Feng found had been emptied of contents.
Could there be people here?
Lin Feng looked into the distance of the forest floor. There didn’t seem to be anything blocking view on this floor, so he couldn’t tell how big it was.
But each time he walked a distance in one direction, he would hit a transparent wall.
“Blargh!”
“Roar!”
Just as Lin Feng was pondering this, 5 naked tribesmen suddenly appeared on the other side of the transparent wall.
The little raptor with Lin Feng immediately became aggressive.
One tribesman roared at Lin Feng before leaping at him.
Luckily, knowing there would be tribesmen here, Lin Feng had his spray gun ready.
With a “bang”, the pouncing tribesman was blasted away and knocked out.
At the same time, in the depth of the forest, a man holding a lighter in one hand and a fire ax in the other looked toward the direction of the loud noise…
