From afar at Fusion Academy, one could clearly see a brilliant beam of light piercing the night sky.
At the top of that beam stood a goddess holding a holy staff—her radiant, noble figure reigning over the battlefield.
"So divine... Is that a god?"
"But I heard the Egyptian God Cards aren't humanoid in form."
Among the students, only Irene sensed the true meaning of that radiance.
"What a gentle light... Is that you, Aisha? She's fighting... not relying on Miles... she's fighting on her own. You can do it."

This card was a Monster Card, but it had an effect that allowed it to be activated from the hand under specific conditions.
This type of card, with [Kuriboh] as the most famous example, is commonly known as a "hand trap."
Yet even among hand traps, [Goddess of Sweet Revenge] possessed an extraordinarily unique effect.
Just as its name suggested—Revenge.
"When your opponent declares an attack, the effect of [Goddess of Sweet Revenge] activates—"
[While you control no cards and this is the only card in your hand, when an opponent's monster declares an attack: You can discard this card; destroy as many cards as possible your opponent controls, then you can Special Summon 1 monster from your Deck.]
It could only be activated when you had absolutely nothing on the field and only this card in your hand.
A counterattack born from true desperation—worthy of being called a sweet revenge.
Aisha shouted with all her strength toward the goddess in the sky.
"Please, descend with the light of sweet revenge, oh goddess! After destroying all cards on the opponent's field, Special Summon this monster from my Deck!"
A radiant wave of destruction enveloped the entire rear mountain, wiping out every card the Pharaoh controlled—monsters, Spells, and Traps alike.
At the same time, Aisha drew the monster she would Special Summon following [Goddess of Sweet Revenge]'s effect—the highest Attack monster currently in her Deck after tonight's battle.
"Summoned Skull!"
With 2500 Attack, the king of single-Tribute monsters appeared after clearing the Pharaoh's board—a truly glorious reversal achieved by Aisha.
An Angel-type [Goddess of Sweet Revenge] obtained through Exchange, paired with the Fiend-type [Summoned Skull] gained from Miles during the Shadow Game.
Light and darkness intertwined into a singular power—this was the first time Aisha and Miles had truly fought together as equals.
"This is the end, Miles, Yuna!"
Bathed in radiant light, the Pharaoh's cape seemed to race ahead of the beams themselves.
"A brilliant counterattack. You've already reached the level I hoped you would achieve."
But as the wave of destruction fell, the Pharaoh flipped a card at lightning speed—faster than the speed of reversal.
"I chain [Goddess of Sweet Revenge] with the Quick-Play Spell—Thunderspeed Summon!"
A chain—an action where a player activates a card in response to the opponent's effect before it resolves.
Only Quick-Play Spells or face-down Traps can be activated in a chain like this.
The Pharaoh's field exploded with divine light that rivaled even the Goddess's radiance.
"When all three Royal Knights are present on the field, [Thunderspeed Summon] lets me add a Level 10 ? ATK monster from my Deck and Tribute Summon it!"
"A Level 10 monster with ? ATK... No way..."
The divine flash bursting from the Pharaoh's field, the thunderous black clouds swirling in the sky, and the imaginary BGM "God's Anger" roaring in the background all triggered Miles's worst fears.
"I Tribute my [Queen's Knight], [Jack's Knight], and [King's Knight] to perform an advanced Tribute Summon!"
Because [Thunderspeed Summon] was chained before [Goddess of Sweet Revenge] was resolved, the Pharaoh tributed all three knights before they were destroyed.
"A monster summoned using three Tributes?!"
Aisha had never seen such a dramatic summoning sequence.
Not even Kaima Seth's triple [Blue-Eyes White Dragon] summon was as terrifying as this.
"When thunder rumbles in chaotic skies, and the ancient spellbooks are drawn upon—come forth! God Summon! Obelisk—no... Slifer the Sky Dragon!"

Even larger than [First of the Dragons], Slifer's massive, fire-red body swirled endlessly in the clouds above the rear mountain—without visible end.
This was the divine pressure Miles had felt the moment he entered the mountain.
That night, the students of Fusion Academy witnessed the true form of a god.
The rumors of the Egyptian God Cards... were no mere myth.
"Slifer's Attack equals 1000 times the number of cards in my hand. I have four cards in hand!"

A God Card—the apex of Duel Monsters. Slifer's Attack easily surpassed anything Miles had encountered since arriving in this world.
"But any monster summoned before [Goddess of Sweet Revenge]'s effect resolves should be destroyed by its 'destroy all' effect!"
"Heh... This isn't a monster. This is a GOD!"
Raising its head, Slifer unleashed divine lightning that shattered the judgment light of [Goddess of Sweet Revenge] entirely.
"A god's immunity makes it unaffected by monster effects of lower Level. Level 6 [Goddess of Sweet Revenge] can't affect a Level 10 God!"
With the wave of destruction resisted, Slifer then turned its attention to Aisha's newly Special Summoned [Summoned Skull].
"Slifer's effect activates! Upon your monster being Summoned, it loses 2000 Attack!—Thunder Force Blast!"
[Summoned Skull, ATK: 2500 → 500]
A blast of divine lightning reduced the proud king of single-Tribute monsters to mere fodder.
"It's over now. Slifer—Attack! Superconductive Wave Thunderforce!!!"
Blinding divine lightning engulfed the entire rear mountain. No escape. No defense. No chance left for Aisha.
