"So, you are sir Lee Tao, envoy of the Pang clan." The woman looked towards this man as she said those words.
Hearing those words, that man looked towards the woman.
"Yes, madam, I came from the Pang clan and wanted to meet lady Alena," he replied to the woman who was sitting at the counter. She was in charge of verifying the identity of the guest and providing them to stay inside the Guest quarter during their visit.
Hearing those words, the woman shook her head and smiled towards that man.
"I am sorry sir, you can't meet lady Alena, at least not today. Her today's appointment is over, and no one is allowed to go inside the mansion of the Lin clan. I can provide you a guest room here, you can meet her tomorrow," she replied to him.
Hearing those words, he took a moment before speaking.
"Okay, I'll meet lady Alena tomorrow and give her my regards from the Pang clan," he replied to her. She nodded her head and took a moment.
"Sorry for the inconvenience, sir, and welcome to the Lin clan. I'll show you your room, if you need anything you can ask the servants and they will provide everything for you." She looked towards that man as she said those words and started walking towards the direction of the guest house, while that man started following behind her.
His expression was stiff as he didn't get the chance to go inside the Lin clan mansion, but he stayed calm as he followed behind that woman quietly.
Meanwhile…
A man could be seen laying on the ground unconscious inside the forest, along with two men who were also laying on the ground with him. He was fortunate in the sense that he had sustained a few injuries while those two men were lying lifeless on the ground.
He started gaining his consciousness and a moment later he tried to stand up, but he couldn't, because blood could be seen rushing out from his legs.
"I am alive. These two saved me and sacrificed their life for me, but who was that guy? Why would he attack us? Wait - he was after the jade slip of the Pang clan, but why?" that man mumbled to himself as he started walking slowly and sat beside the tree.
"No, he was not after me, he was after our identity. I have to hurry and inform the Lin clan about this," the man mumbled as he started covering his legs with a piece of fabric from his clothes.
Meanwhile…
"This blue robe is suiting you very well. You are looking like an angel, Diya," Yohan hugged his Diya from behind as she was doing her makeup in front of the mirror.
She smiled towards Yohan and kissed him on his cheek.
"You are also looking very handsome in this black attire," she responded to him.
But Yohan noticed something and he looked towards Diya. He felt that she was looking nervous about something.
"Are you okay? Is something bothering you?" he asked her as he turned her body towards him and looked into her deep blue eyes.
Hearing those words, a bitter smile appeared on her beautiful face.
"I am nervous about today's dinner. I have not attended anything like that in my whole life. What if I do something awkward in front of everyone? That might affect your reputation as the heir of the Lin clan," she said in a timid voice and she looked towards Yohan.
Hearing those words, he looked at her curiously, and the next moment a smile appeared on his face.
"I can understand how you are feeling right now, but don't worry, I will be there for you," he responded to her.
"But Yohan, still, I do not belong to a big family or a mighty clan, you know, right?" she asked in a timid voice.
He chuckled after hearing those words from her mouth and petted her head before responding to her.
" Look, Diya, I do not care about what people think about you or about me. There might be some people who will criticize you for not belonging to a mighty clan or some big family, but you need to know that I will always be there for you, and I don't give a fuck about those high society rules and satellites.
If someone disrespects you, I will beat the crap out of him, no matter who he is," he said as he kissed her on the forehead.
Hearing those words, she smiled and looked towards Yohan.
"You are very kind," she replied to him as she hugged him very tightly.
Meanwhile..
A man could be seen walking towards the River Shore city. He was having a problem while he was walking. Blood could be seen running out from his legs, and bruises could be seen all over his body. A few hours ago, someone had attacked his convoy and killed the men who were accompanying him towards the Lin clan.
He was here on behalf of lord Pang to participate in the Lin clan's celebration, but he was fortunate enough to have survived those attacks as he had pretended to be dead as his men saved his life.
The killer had been in a hurry. He hadn't given a fuck about anything else. He had taken a jade slip in his pocket and left that place in the next moment, leaving these three in that place.
"Damn it, I need to go there and inform lord Su about this attack. Someone is planning something against the Lin clan. I need to hurry." He was mumbling those words as he walked towards the city despite feeling unbearable pain. His left leg had been completely destroyed in that attack.
He was dragging that leg along forcefully despite being in pain as he was worried about the Lin clan. The Pang clan might have been a small clan, but they respected the Lin clan and lord Su, as the Lin clan always supported them in need.
But suddenly two black figures appeared behind him.
