Chapter 23: A pet.
As a young master, Bai Long had to plan everything carefully. He knew that if he wasn't cautious, he could easily fall into a trap laid by his enemies.
The fact that Yang Kai had become a foundation stage powerhouse was a significant threat, and he couldn't allow him to grow any stronger.
That cockroach is already snowballing.
Has an immortal master, has inheritance and everything.
If he can't get rid of Yang Kai now, before he becomes even stronger, it would be a curse for him in the long run.
But how to kill him? The problem was, he had no idea where Yang Kai was currently residing. And even if he knew, he wouldn't dare to confront him directly, not without gathering enough information about his abilities and weaknesses.
"Dare to ask Young Master, why are you targeting Yang Kai? He is already an untouchable guy and we can't do anything."
One of the pigs asked, curiosity getting the better of him.
Bai Long looked at the pig coldly. "Mind your own business. Do as I say, and don't ask unnecessary questions. Just find where he lives and find if he has a mother and sisters or not,"
The pig instantly shut his mouth, knowing that he had overstepped his bounds.
"Apologies, Young Master. This lowly one didn't mean to offend you," he said quickly, bowing his head in apology.
"You guys leave now... I will think of something. Better return with good news..."

'Hehe... Good!!!' Bai Long smirked and drank the tea.
After drinking, he went to hunt. He wanted to know more about the reverse scale on his chest that looks like a crystal.
* *
Hunting the beast was a good idea because he needed to practice his magical techniques.
After all, this is the first time he had cultivated and would be fighting in this world. And his body needs to adapt to the spiritual Qi.
If he can't even hunt a beast, it's better to hang yourself because no way, you are beating the protagonist.
After he went deeper, he saw a group of beasts, which looked like wolves with black and white fur and two pairs of eyes.
They were clearly mutated by the Qi. They had sharp fangs and claws, and their eyes were filled with a ferocious light.
Bai Long didn't hesitate and took out his sword, ready to attack them.
He was surprised to find that they were rank 1 and rank 2 beasts, but it didn't matter much.
Swoosh!
His sword flashed, and the two beasts fell to the ground dead.
He continued to hunt the beasts, and soon he had killed three rank 1 beasts and five rank 2 beasts, gaining beast cores that could be sold for a total of 800 spiritual stones and a lot of beast meat and furs.
As he was about to leave, he sensed a strong aura in the distance. He hid himself and waited, watching as a group of cultivators passed by, led by a young man with a strong aura.
Bai Long could sense that the young man was at the foundation realm, and he was leading a group of Qi grandmasters.
He couldn't help but feel a sense of unease as he watched them pass by. He knew that he was no match for a foundation realm cultivator.
And he was surprised to see that the cultivators were all wearing the same robes, which meant that they were all from the same sect.
They passed by him without noticing him, and he quickly left the place. He didn't want to encounter them again.
He is aware of whom to bully and whom to avoid.
After all, he didn't want to get involved in any conflicts with other sects.
He was about to leave the place when he saw a rank 3 beast... it was a silver eagle.
It was a majestic creature, with silver feathers and sharp talons. It was flying in the sky, scanning the ground below for its prey.
Bai Long knew that if he could kill the silver eagle, he could sell it for a lot of spiritual stones and resources.
In this world, gold is as useless as shit and silver is a precious material because of its anti-healing property and Qi conductivity.
But he also knew that it wouldn't be easy. The Silver eagle was a powerful beast, and it would take all his strength and skill to kill it.
But he was determined to try... He took out his sword and prepared to attack. He is merely a Qi grandmaster so, he can only shoot Qi for a short distance and can't manipulate it.
Woosh!
He jumped up into the air, using his Qi to propel himself. The silver eagle noticed him and turned its attention to him.
Krrrrr!!!!
It let out a loud screech and flapped its wings, creating a gust of wind that pushed Bai Long back.
But he didn't give up. He used his Qi to steady himself and charged forward again with his sword glowing bright purple.
The eagle saw him coming and flew towards him, its sharp talons extended.
Bai Long dodged to the side, avoiding the attack. He quickly flew behind the eagle and stabbed it with his sword.
He can't control his body anymore as you have to reach the foundation stage to fly.
And the eagle was too fast, and it managed to dodge the attack.
Swoosh!
Bai Long landed on the ground while cussing. If he had bowed then things would have been different.
However,
Eagle wasn't done yet.
Swoosh!
With a rapid speed creating afterimages, it launched itself towards Bai Long... When the eagle collided with Bai Long, smoke started appearing.
"Arghh~" Bai Long felt his ribs being broken and sharp pain hitting him.
Yet, he managed to grab the eagle...
He quickly pulled out the jar using his thought from his storage ring.
Using one hand to grab the eagle... He pulled out a baby heart Gu from another and fed it to the eagle.
The Heart-controlling mother Gu had one baby at the moment which he wanted to save for Bai Huan's mother but this is also fine.
He can always cultivate them later on.
Just then,
"Good! Good! Good! Hand over that Silver eagle..."
