Dropped into Naruto, Breaking the World Apart

Chapter 138: Chapter 25: Breaking the Fourth Wall

Tsunade was stunned as she listened to Itō Hidenaka's explanation. Was the truth of this world really so complicated?

Wait a second!

Is this sneaky bastard lying to me again?

Suspicious, Tsunade glanced at Itō Hidenaka, then turned her head to look at the demon.

"I'm telling the truth!" Itō Hidenaka emphasized. Thanks to his face-reading technique, he knew exactly what Tsunade was thinking. Given that his credibility was already on the verge of collapse, he had no choice but to explain,

"I'm just a historian. I only speak of what I've learned. Whether or not that information is true… even I can't say for sure."

He wasn't some government insider—who could guarantee that what he knew was actually the truth? Especially when it involved national secrets!

Itō Hidenaka looked pleadingly at the demon, but the demon ignored him completely. Still fiddling with the controls, he operated the time machine recklessly. If the machine could send people into the past, then naturally it could send objects back as well. He set the entrance of the time-space portal deep in the ocean. Countless gallons of seawater from the future began pouring into the past.

Time itself began to grow unstable. A white light flared across the sky, followed by a faint cracking sound...

...

Uchiha Sasuke and Uchiha Itachi, locked in their duel, looked up at the sky in surprise. An ominous feeling surged through their hearts, swift and uninvited.

The world was about to end. All living beings in it could feel it.

Orochimaru was the first to react. He dove straight into the Dragon Vein, but before leaving, he glanced back—everything around him looked as if it had been outlined with ink, turning into a page from a manga.

A strange intuition flickered through his mind. Then, everything before his eyes turned black.

A black hole appeared in front of Sasuke. At first, it was just a tiny dot, but it soon expanded into a human-sized vortex, pulling him in with powerful suction.

It wasn't just Sasuke—similar black holes appeared in all directions, like... the moment before a soap bubble bursts, when the world around it twists and warps bizarrely.

Itachi wasn't so lucky. A black hole formed directly where he stood. After resisting for barely half a minute, he was sucked in. Gritting his teeth, Sasuke moved toward where Itachi had vanished. The brothers disappeared into the same point in space.

The instant Sasuke stepped into the black hole, his body disintegrated, leaving only his soul behind. His consciousness blurred, but he still clung tightly to Itachi's trail.

...

On the other side of the black hole was nothing but void. Occasionally, bizarre images flickered past, and Sasuke recognized most of them—they were all about Naruto.

Some showed Naruto living a happy married life with Hinata; others depicted him married to Sakura, with a beautiful daughter sporting pink hair. Most bizarre of all, there were even scenes of Naruto and Sasuke getting married and having children!

Even as a disembodied soul, Sasuke shivered in disgust.

What the hell is this nonsense?

But the weirdest scenes were yet to come—

The God Tree rampaged, Naruto and Sasuke led the Allied Shinobi Forces to defeat the final boss, restoring peace to the world...

The next moment, that image was overwritten. The God Tree still ran rampant, but this time Sakura was the savior. Using some incomprehensible "Ultimate Pure Water" technique, she took down the boss and became the hero of the ninja world. A few moments later, the scene changed again. Still the God Tree. But now the savior was a boy from the Hyūga branch family—wearing the Fifth Hokage's divine cloak.

The scenes kept shifting. Most of the time, someone from Konoha would step up to save the world and end the Fourth Great Ninja War. Occasionally, someone from another village took the lead. In rare versions, the war never even started—it was snuffed out before it could begin.

Itachi's soul disintegrated halfway through the journey. Most others who were sucked into the black hole suffered the same fate.

Only Sasuke's soul remained intact—though he had no idea why.

Watching Itachi's soul fade into nothing, Sasuke felt a strange emotion—not the thrill of avenging a great grudge, nor sorrow or grief. Just a suffocating sense of frustration, a desire to destroy everything.

Soon, he reached the end of the black hole. There, he found a door. Without much effort, he passed through it.

...

In an instant, darkness engulfed his vision. When light returned, he found himself in a strange room—messy beyond belief. Trash scattered everywhere, half-eaten takeout, dirty laundry and stinky socks all mixed together, releasing an indescribable stench.

"This place is worse than Naruto's room," Sasuke muttered with a frown.

His mind lagged. How did the black holes lead to this place? Had the ninja world really been destroyed? And what was this place?

His eyes scanned the room—and then he saw it. A computer. Its folder was full of manga. One by one, they were opening, only to be corrupted and scrambled into garbled code by some unseen force.

Sasuke spotted himself in the pages of those manga. If he still had a body, he probably would've vomited.

Who the hell drew this crap?

Why does everyone get to hook up with me?!

The great Uchiha Sasuke—just tossed around like some easy conquest?

Fortunately, all the files were being scrambled.

Just then, the door to the room opened with a bang.

A ragged, unkempt humanoid figure walked in. At first glance, Sasuke couldn't even tell their gender. On closer inspection—it was a girl.

She couldn't see Sasuke in his spirit form. The moment she entered, she noticed her precious "study materials" were acting up again, automatically opening and then becoming garbled!

"AAAHHHH!" she shrieked in anguish. "I stayed up all night drawing those! What the hell is wrong with this stupid computer?!"

The messy girl spiraled into a breakdown. She could go without makeup, skip social events, even stop buying new clothes—but she could not lose her emotional sustenance!

Her creations were her everything.

Sasuke listened as she muttered things like "Goblin Invasion in Naruto" and "Uchiha Madara used as a mop" and didn't understand a single word.

But he did notice something—this girl seemed deeply connected to the ninja world. Her manga were influencing reality!

"Was the tragedy of the Uchiha clan orchestrated by her too?" Rage suddenly flared in Sasuke's heart. His soul began to manifest in the room.

The messy girl froze when she saw him. At first, she was stunned by how good-looking he was. Then, belatedly, she asked suspiciously,

"Who... are you?"

Seeing a 2D character in 3D threw her off. Sasuke's anime hairstyle looked oddly emo in the real world. His semi-transparent spirit form made it clear he wasn't human. If it weren't for his ridiculously attractive face, the girl would've screamed long ago—instead of silently daydreaming about some ghostly romance.

Sasuke smiled.

The girl shivered to her core.

Black flames consumed her body before she could even scream. Her ashes scattered in the air like drifting snow. From within the charred remnants, a twisted paintbrush slipped into the void.

Sasuke had no time to think—his form grew increasingly transparent, until finally, he vanished.
