Chapter 75: Chapter 75: The Savior

Chapter 75: The Savior

Even without using the Muken, Taro's base power was already around 200,000.

His flight speed was incredibly fast!

In the original story, when Son Goku first arrived on Namek, his power level was only 90,000. Yet, he was able to reach the battlefield where Krillin and the others were fighting the Ginyu Force in an instant.

Even though he used the Kaio-ken during this, his power was still only 180,000.

Taro was stronger than Goku at that time, and naturally, his speed was far superior!

Boom—

In the blink of an eye, he had crossed thousands of mountains and rivers.

The white ki flame wrapped around him and the seven birds in his arms, shielding them from the intense air resistance caused by high-speed flight, while also preventing the high temperatures from friction with the air.

On the alien planet, the pale purple sky stretched above, and a white streak shot across the heavens. In the blink of an eye, it vanished toward the other horizon, leaving only a faint trace that slowly dissipated in the slightly distorted air.

On his journey, Taro noticed the presence of the natives below.

He saw the people in small villages—most of them tall, slender, and with sparse hair. Many of them sat in pairs or small groups, seemingly in deep thought.

"Do the natives of this planet have a tradition of cultivating mental energy?"

Taro pondered.

In the blink of an eye, the village below was left far behind as he flew on. But his dynamic vision was extraordinary. His crimson Mangekyou Sharingan flickered on and off in an instant, and just from a quick glance from the sky, he was able to discern the situation of those on the ground.

But he didn't stop. He hadn't yet found the person who had spoken.

Hiss—

The white streak cut through the air.

The roaring wind howled in his ears. As he passed over a larger village, Taro slowed down a bit, and this time, he took a closer look.

In this larger village, much like the previous one, many people were gathered in pairs or groups, with their eyes closed, seemingly engaged in some sort of ritual.

But what was different this time was that in this larger village, Taro noticed a person dressed in extravagant robes, holding a wooden staff. The person was bald, with a clean face, and had a tall, slender frame. They appeared to be a leader of some kind.

"Could this person be some sort of magician…?"

Taro continued his flight, leaving a white streak behind him. His thoughts raced: "If I remember correctly, the one who created Majin Buu in the original story was a magician, right? And then there was Babidi, the powerful sorcerer who later revived Majin Buu on Earth…"

"But if that's the case, why didn't Porunga just send me to find Babidi directly?"

"Or is it possible... the so-called best place or person to cultivate mental power actually refers to the part that is 'least harmful to me'? So, the evil factions have already been excluded?"

Taro was still thinking these thoughts when suddenly, his gaze sharpened as he looked ahead and stopped his train of thought. In the distance, high in the sky, he noticed a small black dot. As he approached at high speed, the dot gradually became clearer—it was a person!

The white ki flame ripped through the air. Despite noticing the figure ahead, Taro didn't slow down at all. It seemed he had no intention of stopping and was charging directly toward the person with a calm expression, as if intending to crash straight through them in mid-air.

The elderly, white-haired and balding, emaciated figure of the Holy Mage floated motionless in place, watching Taro charge toward him with unstoppable momentum. However, he didn't move at all.

Taro was so fast, so swift, that the next moment, a collision seemed imminent—

Hiss!

At the last moment, just a short distance away from the Holy Mage, Taro's figure suddenly halted, transitioning from high-speed to complete stillness with such abruptness that it left a visual afterimage, as though he passed right through the Holy Mage.

The ki flame surrounding Taro immediately extinguished, vanishing without a trace.

Steam began to rise from his body, swirling upward from the heat generated by the friction between his ki and the air during his high-speed flight.

Taro remained calm as he looked at the old man before him.

The Holy Mage smiled at him, briefly glancing at the seven colorful birds perched on Taro's shoulders. The little creatures turned their heads curiously, eyeing the old man.

"Very beautiful pets." the old man complimented.

The birds stretched their wings, fluttering lightly and preening their feathers.

Taro remained silent, his gaze still fixed on the Holy Mage.

"Heh..."

The Holy Mage shook his head, his voice raspy but carrying an ethereal, otherworldly quality. "You are indeed very powerful... a visitor from afar. You are a body cultivator, aren't you? I can sense the boundless strength within you, like an endless ocean..."

"I am a martial artist." Taro didn't care whether the man understood the term, simply stating it directly.

"Martial artist... Hmm, I can imagine the meaning contained in those two words." The Holy Mage pondered for a moment before sighing lightly. "It's hard to believe that the cultivation of the human body can reach such a level. To be able to fly without relying on telekinesis... They were wrong, all wrong..."

He shook his head again with a sigh.

Telekinesis?

All wrong?

Taro's expression remained unchanged as he calmly responded: "You still haven't told me... How do you know about me, and why did you say you were waiting for me? Also, who are you?"

"Heh... Don't be in such a hurry, young one."

The Holy Mage floated in the air with his long, thin body, shaking his head. "As for me, I am just an old, immortal mage on this planet... As for why I know about you..." He paused for a moment.

"So, he is a mage after all." Taro thought to himself, waiting silently for the old mage to continue.

The Holy Mage's calm, watery gaze swept over the surrounding environment. He looked at the mountains, the water, the forests, and the sky, and at the various forms of wild animals that could vaguely be seen on the land. Then, he suddenly asked: "Young one, what do you think of this place?"

"The scenery is quite nice." Taro didn't follow the old mage's gaze but instead calmly kept his eyes fixed on him.

"Yes... a very beautiful place..." The Holy Mage closed his eyes and exhaled. "But all this beauty, all this life, will eventually be destroyed by evil people!"

Without waiting for Taro's response, the Holy Mage opened his eyes again and saw that Taro's expression hadn't changed. He couldn't help but chuckle bitterly. "My master was right. You body cultivators... Well... your will is much stronger than ours!"

He didn't directly say what his master had told him about being "single-minded," but instead phrased it differently.

Taro furrowed his brows. "What exactly are you trying to say?"

The Holy Mage sighed. "'This world will be destroyed by two demons from beyond the heavens'... This is the vision of the future I saw in a dream many years ago..."

A prophetic dream?

Taro's mind immediately grasped the concept of this term, but hearing the Holy Mage speak of "two demons from beyond the heavens," something stirred within him. He asked, without showing any outward reaction, "Are these two demons identical in appearance?"

The Holy Mage was surprised but nodded. "Indeed."

So, it's the two leaders of Freeza's elite force...

"I'm curious—what does this dream have to do with me?" Taro asked.

"Originally, it had nothing to do with you... But just over a year ago, this 'connection' suddenly appeared. One night, this dream I had countless times suddenly changed."

"It was you. You appeared in our world. I don't know where you came from, or why you came... But the one thing I clearly saw was that you saved our world from the hands of these two demons."
