Dragon Ball: Escaping from Planet Vegeta

Chapter 83: The more you fight, the stronger you become! Porunga! (Part IV)

As the battle ended in a draw, Talot and Ragar quickly returned to the Grand Elder's side.

At this moment, six Namekian warriors and six elders escorting the Dragon Balls arrived. Along with the One-Star Dragon Ball at the Grand Elder's residence, all seven Dragon Balls were now gathered.

Even though Talot knew the Dragon Balls of Planet Namek were large, he still couldn't help but express his amazement. Salari was even more shocked.

At first, she hadn't fully reacted, but now, comparing it, she realized how huge they were from Earth's Dragon Balls.

The seven Dragon Balls were neatly placed, resonating with one another. The orange five-pointed stars within occasionally flashed with a golden light, dazzling and captivating everyone present.

This scene made all the Namekians present become extremely alert.

To the Namekians, the Dragon Balls were sacred, and the ritual to summon the Eternal Dragon was not to be taken lightly.

In fact, even among the Namekians, not everyone had witnessed the summoning of the Eternal Dragon before. For the elders who had seen it, they could hardly remember when they last made a wish.

As the Grand Elder recited the summoning incantation in Namekian language, the seven Dragon Balls began to resonate.

In an instant, an invisible power spread out, and dark clouds began to roll in, shrouding Namek's sky in darkness.

Crackle, crackle~!!!

An astonishing burst of lightning exploded from the center of the seven Dragon Balls, followed by an enormous pillar of energy shooting into the sky, becoming the most brilliant light in the darkness.

As the golden light gradually faded, a fierce, hulking figure appeared.

Porunga had appeared!

"So... so huge! Compared to him, the Eternal Dragon on Earth looks like a tiny earthworm!" Salari shouted in shock.

Before arriving on Namek, Salari had her own ideas about what the Eternal Dragon here might look like.

But seeing it in person completely overturned her understanding of the Eternal Dragons.

The Eternal Dragon of Earth is like an earthworm in comparison...

It was an apt description, given the staggering difference in size.

Watching the anime and reading the manga hadn't given him a real sense of scale, but seeing it in person made the comparison unmistakable.

The Eternal Dragon on Namek surpassed Earth's in both size and grandeur, emanating a pressure many times stronger than Earth's Eternal Dragon.

It's hard to imagine how shocking the Super Shenron would be.

"The one who has gathered the seven Dragon Balls, state thy wish. No matter what your wish is, I can help you fulfill three." Porunga's voice, filled with awe-inspiring power, stirred up immense dragon might, deeply shaking everyone's heart.

"Three wishes?! Not just one?!" Salari perked up.

To think that the Eternal Dragon of Planet Namek could grant three wishes!

This was the true Eternal Dragon! Her opinion of the tiny green "earthworm" on Earth sank even further.

"Porunga has appeared. Now, state your wish, and I will convey it to Porunga in Namekian language," said the Grand Elder, turning to Talot.

"I see, you're worried that the Dragon Balls might be used carelessly, so you need the Namekian language," Talot said, pretending not to know. Then, looking up at the enormous figure of Porunga in the sky, he thought for a moment before speaking. "When Planet Vegeta exploded, there was a Saiyan named Bardock who seemed to have been transported to another world by some mysterious power. My first wish is to bring Bardock back!"

As Talot stated his wish, Salari's expression grew serious, feeling a bit nervous.

The Grand Elder and the others nodded upon hearing the wish, and then the Grand Elder translated Talot's words into Namekian language, relaying them to Porunga.

Upon hearing the content of the first wish, Porunga fell silent.

"I'm sorry, but I cannot grant this wish. It exceeds my capabilities," Porunga's response was unexpected for everyone.

A wish that couldn't be granted—this was the first time the Namekians had encountered such a situation, and even the Grand Elder was surprised.

Talot took a sharp breath, thinking to himself, 'As expected, not even Porunga can do it.'

Although he'd considered this possibility, he still felt disappointed when the attempt failed.

"Could you please tell me the specific reason?" Talot asked, worried that it might be mistaken as a wish, so he quickly added, "This isn't a wish. Just saying 'exceeds my capabilities' is a bit too vague."

As Talot finished asking, without needing to be translated, Porunga directly answered: "The Saiyan named Bardock was transported to the distant past by that mysterious force when the planet exploded. To bring him back to the present, it would involve many complex rules. Unfortunately, my power is limited, so I cannot grant that wish. However, there might be a way for him to return."

Porunga then offered Talot an alternative solution.

"What way?" Talot asked.

"The Saiyan named Bardock currently resides in the distant past. If he can gather the Dragon Balls of that era and use the power of my counterpart from that time, he might be able to return," Porunga's words left Talot stunned.

However, such a solution is like saying nothing at all.

Let alone whether Bardock could gather the dragon balls, it's a problem how he would even get to Namek in that era.
