Dragon Ball: Escape from Planet Vegeta

Chapter 93: Chapter 93

"It's so terrifying. You're even scarier than Frieza right now," Raditz sighed.

Hearing these words, Salari nodded. After all, everyone had experienced the aura and power of Frieza.

Clearly, the pressure Talot was releasing at this moment was even stronger.

"I'm afraid it's not that simple. All these years of experience have given me a feeling. We Saiyans will transform, and maybe Frieza will too! Perhaps the 530,000 power level is just the combat power of his current form. It's just a numerical value." Talot's words made Raditz and Salari feel an ominous stirring in their hearts.

Gine, on the other hand, was pondering the fact that Talot had reached an unprecedented height among Saiyans. Now that his combat power exceeded one million, he could defeat Frieza.

However, after hearing those words, a sense of panic about the unknown arose in her heart once again.

"Is that possible? Aren't you being overly cautious?" Raditz questioned.

"This is just my opinion. In my view, Frieza shouldn't be this weak. If his power level is only 530,000, forget about conquering the entire universe—he wouldn't even be qualified to dominate the Northern Galaxy!

"Although we've said that we've never encountered beings with extremely high combat power over the years, that's also because we've only been moving within a limited range of galaxies. You must understand, beyond this range, there's an endless starry sky in the universe.

"In other words, we haven't even explored a tenth of the Northern Galaxy. Perhaps I'm exaggerating, but my current strength gives me a feeling you can't understand until you've reached my level.

"Once your combat power is the same as mine, you'll know that nothing is as simple as it seems."

Talot spoke kindly, sharing this possibility with them.

Ultimately, he wanted them to understand that in this world, even if your combat power reaches a million, it's still insignificant.

In fact, Talot was being tactful. To speak more bluntly, he would have told them that if their combat power didn't exceed 100 million, they were nothing more than ants.

After hearing Talot's words, the three of them exchanged nervous glances.

It wasn't until Son Gohan accidentally bumped into Goku that the oppressive atmosphere lifted.

"I plan to go to the Northern Kai to train. After this breakthrough, the Northern Kai contacted me again," Talot said, changing the topic.

Hearing this, Raditz and Salari recalled their memories.

In fact, after returning to Earth, they had almost forgotten about the being who had extended them an olive branch.

"Is that North Kai really trustworthy? And besides, Talot, your combat power has reached a million. Do you still need to rely on North Kai to increase your strength?" Raditz questioned.

Salari agreed with Raditz. "After all, we don't know him at all. If it's a trap..."

Before she could finish, Talot laughed.

Their worries weren't unwarranted. It was normal for anyone to be cautious.

"Don't worry! If there's any danger, in the worst case, I'll just escape! My Instant Transmission doesn't require sensing Ki and can directly cross space! And with my current strength, I'm confident I can return directly to Earth, even from extremely far away," Talot reassured them.

To put them at ease, he said this much.

"If that's the case, why don't we go with you? That way, we can help if anything happens," Raditz suggested.

Even though his strength was far below Talot's, his combat power still reached 45,000. Salari nodded in agreement, but Talot interrupted her before she could say much.

Talot explained that the situation was unclear and that it was best for him to go alone.

Though Talot already knew much, it was better for now to handle things solo.

Once the situation stabilized, he would bring them along to train.

Unable to refute Talot's decision, Raditz and Salari had no choice but to agree.

In truth, they also understood that with their current strength, forcing themselves to follow would only hold Talot back.

After leaving Mount Paozu, Talot and Salari returned to West City to meet Tights.

After all, she had been waiting for them to explore the universe again.

Since they couldn't begin the journey immediately, he had to inform her and let her settle down for a while.

This time, Tights was very obedient. Perhaps after experiencing Frieza's personal visit, she understood that without sufficient strength, venturing into the universe would be impossible.

Only when Talot and the others had enough strength could she travel safely.

...

In the blink of an eye, it was the next day.

Atop the Lookout, Kami had been waiting for some time.

Yesterday, he—the planet's guardian—received a summons from the Northern Kai.

His task was to guide Talot through the realms of the living and the dead to reach the afterlife.

The Northern Kai had taken a personal interest in Talot and wanted to meet him. Kami, as a god, felt deeply conflicted.

After all, he had always been cautious and wary of Talot, even distrusting him. But suddenly, his superior told him this Saiyan was worth nurturing.

What did that mean?

Kami suddenly felt incredibly foolish.

Only now did he realize that his previous judgments were mere illusions.

Zup~~!!

A ripple in space.

Talot appeared before Kami out of nowhere.

"You're here," Kami said, his attitude toward Talot dramatically changed.

He wasn't surprised by Talot's sudden appearance; with Talot's current strength, there was no way Kami could perceive his level.

"It seems you've received the Northern Kai's message. In that case, I'll leave it to you," Talot said curtly to Kami.

Although Kami had never hindered them before, Talot was aware that Kami didn't like having them on Earth, believing they should leave and not return.

No one likes someone who acts amicable outwardly but harbors different feelings inwardly.

Under Kami's guidance, Talot vanished with him from the Lookout.

The sensation of crossing between the realms of the living and the dead was strange.

You could only understand it after experiencing it.

It wasn't like Instant Transmission, where you simply moved through space; it felt as if you'd suddenly entered an entirely different world, and your body could sense the difference.

...

The Afterlife.

Talot and Kami arrived at the gates of the afterlife from the mortal world.

This was the place where the souls of the deceased in this world belonged.

Of course, this only applied to Universe 7.

Looking around, the boundary was a massive bridge. On this bridge, countless souls as white as clouds lined up. They had never met, yet they communicated with each other, creating a lively atmosphere.

This was the final moment for these souls before being judged by King Yemma.

After judgment, there were three outcomes: going to hell, going to heaven, or being reincarnated.

Beside the bridge, several ogre-like officials maintained order. They resembled office workers in the mortal world, dressed in suits and carrying staffs to guide the souls forward.

In reality, these seemingly ordinary staffs were also weapons that could shock souls.

"The Bridge of Reincarnation? I didn't expect Dragon Ball's world to have this name too. But there's no Granny Meng or Meng's Soup."

"Wait, isn't Baba essentially the same? She just doesn't stay near the bridge permanently and also has divination abilities."

Tallot and Kami advanced quietly, their presence immediately drawing attention from many souls and even surprising some ghosts.

Kami's divine aura set him apart; ordinary ghosts couldn't hinder his path despite his calm demeanor.

Crossing the Naihe Bridge, they soon arrived at King Yama's temple.

Inside, before even seeing King Yama clearly, a heavy, lazy voice resonated through the air:

"Next!"

Taking this as their cue, Kami and Tallot approached the massive desk.

It was then that Tallot finally got a clear look at the King of the Underworld.

King Yama, upon noticing their arrival, shed his lazy demeanor and became noticeably more serious. He was well aware that Tallot was a living Saiyan and that Kami was a god. Moreover, he had received a message from North Kai the previous day informing him about this visit.

King Yama's eyes locked onto Tallot, who returned his gaze. The atmosphere became tense.

Standing by, Kami felt an unprecedented sense of dread. As a god of Earth, he was but an ant compared to King Yama.

"So, you're the Saiyan North Kai mentioned. I don't see what's so special about you to warrant such an exception," King Yama stated with a tone of authority.

Tallot felt a strange fear toward him—a sense of oppression that was neither born from strength nor intention but from an innate authority he could not defy.

"This sensation... is unpleasant. Is this the authority of King Yama? Even beings like Frieza, King Cold, Cell, and Majin Buu would be judged without mercy by him." Tallot thought to himself.

Though he didn't know the exact intricacies of this authority, he understood one thing: as long as King Yama presided over the Underworld, no one could act against his will unless a higher rule intervened.

"Lord Yama, I leave this matter to you," Kami said nervously, bowing his head slightly.

After completing his task, Kami made his exit as swiftly as possible, muttering polite farewells.

"Go, Earth God, but we shall meet again soon. Your time is running short," King Yama said with a hint of humor. "When the time comes, consider working for me. The Underworld has been severely understaffed in recent years."

Kami's face turned pale at this statement before flushing with embarrassment. "We'll see when the time comes," he replied with forced calmness, shooting a final glance at Tallot before vanishing.

Left alone with King Yama, Tallot maintained his composure despite the weight of the situation.

With a wave of his hand, King Yama summoned a blue-skinned ghost. "Escort this Saiyan to the start of Snake Way," he ordered.

The ghost quickly obeyed, motioning for Tallot to follow.

Not wanting to waste any more time, Tallot followed him out of Yama's Hall. Soon, they reached the starting point of Snake Way.

Stretching out before them was the infamous Snake Way, twisting endlessly into the golden expanse of the heavens.

As a time traveler, Tallot couldn't help but feel nostalgic. "This is... Snake Way," he murmured to himself.

He understood its significance from the original storyline, where Goku began his strength training under King Kai here.

Looking around at the boundless sea of golden clouds below Snake Way, Tallot could sense the sheer height of the Underworld. Beneath those clouds lay Hell itself—a place one could never escape if they fell.

Tallot reflected for a moment, noting how different perceiving energy was in the Underworld compared to the living world. Ki seemed more restrained here, harder to control.

Expanding his senses, Tallot focused on the distant end of Snake Way. Three distinct energies entered his perception. One of them was uniquely intriguing, undoubtedly belonging to North Kai. Though not particularly powerful, it carried an indescribable presence similar to King Yama's.

Tallot took a deep breath, resolved to traverse Snake Way rather than rely on Instant Transmission. "If I'm here, I might as well do it the traditional way," he thought, reminiscing about how climbing Korin Tower felt rewarding despite his immense strength.

Before setting off, the blue ghost spoke up, breaking Tallot's train of thought. "Let me give you some advice before you go. Snake Way is a million kilometers long. Many dead souls have attempted it, but none succeeded. To this day, only King Yama has completed it. And be careful—there are dangers besides the distance."

Tallot waved him off, his mind already set. Without another word, he unleashed his Ki, becoming a streak of light as he sped forward.

The gust of wind from his takeoff was so powerful that it knocked the blue ghost off his feet. The ghost sat there, stunned, as Tallot disappeared from view. "Who... who is this? That speed is incredible," he muttered to himself, wiping the sweat from his brow.

Meanwhile, Tallot flew effortlessly along Snake Way, marveling at the winding path and the endless golden clouds surrounding it.

Eventually, a massive structure came into view along the route: the Princess Snake's palace, a familiar sight from the original story. "So, this is the Princess Snake's palace," he noted, continuing without slowing down.

The palace and its inhabitants barely had time to react to the storm Tallot's speed created. The Princess and her attendants, hanging clothes to dry, were thrown into chaos, their laundry scattered by the strong winds.

Tallot, however, was unaware of the commotion he left behind. In no time, he reached the end of Snake Way.

Above him hung North Kai's small planet, floating prominently in the sky. Locking onto his target, Tallot smiled and propelled himself upward.

---

On North Kai's planet, the Kai and his companions, Bubbles and Gregory, were waiting.

"He's here already?" North Kai chuckled, placing his hands behind his back in a knowing pose.

As soon as the words left his mouth, a flash of light streaked across the sky and landed in front of him.

Despite the planet's gravity being ten times that of Earth, Tallot stood firm, unaffected.

Unlike Goku's arrival in the original story, where he struggled with the sudden gravity, Tallot adapted instantly. Even if the gravity were a hundred times stronger, he could handle it.

The sheer force of Tallot's landing, however, sent shockwaves that rattled North Kai, Bubbles, and Gregory.

"I'm here, North Kai," Tallot said with a confident smile.

"Welcome, Tallot," North Kai replied, his calm demeanor unshaken.

Gregory, on the other hand, stared in awe. "What incredible strength... He's even more intimidating in person."

Although Tallot had restrained his energy, the aura he naturally emitted was enough to make Gregory uneasy. The insect couldn't help but hope he wouldn't be needed to assist in Tallot's training.
