Chapter 203: Chapter 203: Fire Meow Meow's Trump Card — Omni Ubiquity Net!
"Fire Meow Meow!"
Yu Keke had been watching him closely. The moment she saw his condition, she screamed in panic.
"Cough, cough—"
Fire Meow Meow struggled to stand, flames flickering weakly across his battered body.
It was clear that he had taken a heavy blow in that head-on clash with Tang Hao.
He shook his head to steady himself, eyes wary as he locked onto Tang Hao in the distance. That last attack had left him with a lingering sense of dread—an eerie, bone-deep chill he hadn't felt since the time he faced that adult…
But how could this Tang Hao possibly evoke the same kind of terror?
Could this be the power the black-robed figure mentioned earlier—the one he said Tang Hao should stop hiding?
Tang Hao flashed forward, reappearing in front of Fire Meow Meow. His face was now etched with intricate, vein-like markings, spreading from his forehead like blood-red cracks. It was a ghastly sight.
"Didn't think a beast like you could take that hit and still stand."
He sneered coldly, lifting the Clear Sky Hammer once more and bringing it down with a savage swing.
Fire Meow Meow instinctively leapt to dodge, but his earlier injuries had severely dulled his reflexes. Even though he tried to evade, he was still grazed by the hammer's edge and was sent flying again.
"Fire Meow Meow!"
Yu Keke screamed once more, rushing toward his crumpled form in panic.
Zhu Zhuqing and Dugu Yan immediately followed, arriving at Fire Meow Meow's side.
"Cough, cough—I'm fine. That guy… he's weird."
Blood dribbled from the corner of Fire Meow Meow's mouth as he forced himself upright.
"There's some kind of mysterious power inside him. I can't resist it…"
As he spoke, he noticed Tang Hao and the black-robed man approaching fast, and quickly moved to shield Yu Keke and Zhu Zhuqing behind him.
"Heh~ Didn't notice earlier—so we've got a few little shrimp hiding here too?"
The black-robed man finally took note of the girls.
Tang Hao also cast his gaze toward Yu Keke and Zhu Zhuqing.
Why do these two look so familiar?
His mind, strained from channeling that foreign power, could barely process their identities. They seemed vaguely familiar, but he couldn't place them.
Despite knowing they were facing Title Douluo-level threats, Yu Keke and her companions all took defensive stances, refusing to cower.
On the other side, Dugu Bo took advantage of an opening to knock away the Fourth Elder of the Clear Sky Sect and quickly rejoined the others.
He took up position beside Fire Meow Meow, standing in front of the girls, eyes full of caution as he stared down Tang Hao and the black-robed man.
"Useless trash…"
The black-robed man spat, not even trying to hide his disdain for the bruised and battered Fourth Elder.
The elder clutched his chest and offered only a bitter, strained smile in return.
"Fire Meow Meow, I'll hold them off. You take the girls and run. Now."
Dugu Bo leaned in, speaking low and fast.
Though he had the upper hand against the Clear Sky elders, finishing them off would take time. And Fire Meow Meow clearly couldn't withstand another attack from Tang Hao and the black-robed freak. Their only option was retreat—protect the girls and escape.
"You can't stop them alone. That guy is weird."
Fire Meow Meow gave a meaningful glance at Tang Hao, and Dugu Bo immediately saw what he meant.
"No matter what, Yanyan and the others can't be harmed. Take them and go!"
"Grandpa…"
Dugu Yan's voice trembled as she clutched at his sleeve.
"I'll be fine. They can't stop me."
Dugu Bo said confidently, masking the dread in his heart.
He had been hunted by multiple Title Douluo before—it wasn't new. But that was when he was alone and focused only on fleeing. Now, he had to hold off three Title Douluo to buy time for escape. That was a whole different game.
Still, he took a step forward, ready to attack at any moment.
"Hmph? Thinking of running now? Are we that easy to look down on?"
The Fourth Elder sneered through gritted teeth, having guessed their intentions.
"Don't let them get away!"
Tang Hao's eyes darkened, the overwhelming power he was channeling putting him in unbearable pain. He wanted nothing more than to end this quickly.
"Eighth Soul Skill: Phantom Demon Heartpiercer!"
The black-robed man raised a hand, his eighth black soul ring glowing intensely. All his soul power surged into a sharp, invisible sonic wave that hurtled toward Dugu Bo.
That soul beast was on its last legs. Take down this Title Douluo, and everything would be over!
"Ninth Soul Skill: Jade Phosphor Divine Light!"
Dugu Bo was ready. He had already been caught off guard by the black-robed man's mental attacks once—he wouldn't let it happen again.
Lacking any specific defense against spiritual attacks, he unleashed his most powerful move: a venomous green light imbued with the poison of the Jade Phosphor Serpent Emperor. It would disrupt the mental assault and weaken it, while the wide-area attack would also buy critical time for Fire Meow Meow to escape.
"Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer Technique!"
Tang Hao roared, whirling the Clear Sky Hammer in a storm of overlapping strikes, forming a swirling dome of hammer shadows meant to shield against Dugu Bo's incoming assault.
At the same time, the Fourth Elder unleashed his most powerful soul skill in full, striking directly at Dugu Bo's position.
"Go! Now!"
Dugu Bo roared, launching his attack and meeting the enemy soul skills head-on.
Wasting no time, Fire Meow Meow—despite his injuries—threw the girls onto his back and fled the battlefield at full speed.
BOOM—
The shockwaves echoed across the cliffside. Among the three attackers, only Tang Hao remained standing. The black-robed man, the Fourth Elder, and even Dugu Bo were all on one knee, visibly shaken and wounded.
"Stop them! Stop that soul beast! We must get that soul bone!"
The black-robed man's face was a sickly purple, his body wracked with the poison from the Jade Phosphor Serpent Emperor. Yet his mind was still set on Fire Meow Meow's soul bone.
"Please! Save my grandpa!"
Far off, Fire Meow Meow halted. Dugu Yan was sobbing uncontrollably, clutching his leg as she looked back at the battlefield, where her grandfather was barely on his feet, staggering.
"You guys keep going! I'll hold him off!"
Seeing Tang Hao charging forward with the massive hammer, Fire Meow Meow didn't hesitate.
He set the girls down, turned, and ran straight toward Tang Hao once more.
"So you can still fight, huh? Taste my omni-ubiquity net!"
Fire Meow Meow let out a wild, beastly shriek, and with a sudden gagging sound, spat out what looked like a plain, unremarkable net directly at Tang Hao.
