It took ten God-rank experts working together to bring it down."
Qian Renxue's golden eyes narrowed. "Ten God-rank experts?" she repeated, still feeling a little disbelief. Ten God rank experts? The Federation had so many God-rank experts? Ditian nodded. "After that disaster, the Federation implemented strict measures to prevent such large-scale catastrophes. Numerous defensive lines were established near suspected spatial rifts, powerful formations were constructed, and patrols were increased. Additionally, the Federation and the major forces introduced a bounty system to encourage proactive hunting of Predator Beasts."
Xuanyu raised an eyebrow. "A bounty system?"
"Yes," Ditian confirmed. "If a person kills a Predator Beast, they must extract its Beast Core as proof and will get special rewards from the fedration or the force they work for. The Beast Core contains the core essence of every beast born in the Void Treasure Realm—it holds their memories, bloodline, energy, and any special abilities they possessed. These cores are extremely valuable for research, crafting, and cultivation. Depending on the rank and strength of the Predator Beast, the Federation or the hunter's respective force will offer rewards in return for these cores. This has led to an unspoken rule among cultivators: if you see a Predator Beast, you kill it immediately—no hesitation, no second chances."
Lan Xuanyu nodded slowly, absorbing the information. "That explains why we don't hear about large-scale Predator Beast incidents often. The moment one appears, it's already being targeted."

Unlike gods, who comprehend laws and wield divine authority, Predator Beasts rely solely on instinct and experience. Their combat prowess is terrifying, but they cannot comprehend higher-order powers like divine law manipulation or domain creation, which makes them easier to counter once their patterns are understood."
He paused, his golden eyes glinting with warning. "However, difficult does not mean impossible. The one that escaped before was proof of that. And if another one reaches that level… the consequences could be unimaginable."
Lan Xuanyu leaned back in his chair, his mind racing. These Predator Beasts were far more troublesome than he had initially thought. Their ability to evolve, their relentless nature, and their potential to reach God-rank made them a lurking catastrophe. He couldn't afford to ignore this. They don't strategize or plan; they simply adapt to whatever they encounter.
"Guardian Beasts, on the other hand, are the complete opposite. They are truly intelligent beings, and their wisdom grows alongside their strength and age. Unlike Predator Beasts, they don't exist to consume and destroy. Many Guardian Beasts are protectors of certain realms, artifacts, or ancient legacies. Some even act as overseers of balance, intervening when the equilibrium of a world is threatened."
Qian Renxue's golden eyes gleamed with curiosity. "You mentioned beasts that manipulate the laws of the realm. Are those different from Predator Beasts?"
