Douluo: Marrying a Wife to Become a God, Having Children for Blessings

Chapter 312: Chapter 312: A Child Will Suffice

Xiaozhu Peak.

Back Mountain.

Moonwatching Terrace.

Zhou Yi shivered slightly as the mountain breeze brushed against him, carrying a hint of coolness, though more than anything, he felt completely at ease.

"What a beautiful view, what a refreshing breeze, and what a stunning woman!"

Gazing at the unique scenery of Moonwatching Terrace on Xiaozhu Peak, Zhou Yi felt an unrestrained joy in his heart. Yet, his expression remained serene, like a saintly Buddha, calm as still water.

He held Lu Xueqi close, her smooth, jade-like back pressed against his chest. Looking down at the woman nestled in his embrace, he couldn't help but smile faintly.

For the first time in her life, a faint blush appeared on Lu Xueqi's snow-like complexion. Her usually cold and untouchable beauty now carried a soft and lingering warmth, tinged with shyness.

Tear stains lingered at the corners of her eyes, her long eyelashes trembled slightly, and she had already fallen into a deep sleep.

Zhou Yi simply held her quietly, looking toward the sky where the blazing sun had already risen high, savoring the sense of closeness between them.

After a long time, a thought flashed through his mind. He suddenly found something amusing. Carefully shifting away, he used his mystical powers to heal Lu Xueqi's injuries, restoring her to her original state.

He even took the time to cleanse her body and dress her properly. Aside from the tear stains on her face, everything was exactly as it had been before Zhou Yi arrived.

She was, once again, flawless.

"When Xueqi wakes up, will she think it was all just a dream?"

Zhou Yi smirked mischievously, glancing at the still-sleeping Lu Xueqi. She was thoroughly exhausted and wouldn't be waking anytime soon.

Since there was no reason to waste time lingering here, he decided to visit her master, Master Shui Yue, and wait patiently.

Truthfully, Zhou Yi had grown quite fond of Lu Xueqi's residence and was reluctant to leave. However, she needed rest, and if he stayed, he wasn't sure he could resist temptation.

With a single sweep of his divine sense, Zhou Yi quickly located Shui Yue.

She was cultivating in her private chamber.

Without making a sound, Zhou Yi's figure appeared within her room. Shui Yue had not noticed his arrival.

Her appearance was comparable to Su Ru, appearing around thirty years old, with an elegant oval-shaped face, delicate eyebrows, and clear, sharp almond-shaped eyes. Dressed in a flowing white Taoist robe, she exuded an ethereal grace.

Time passed in silence.

Perhaps Zhou Yi's gaze was too intense—too brazen and unrestrained—Shui Yue seemed to sense something and turned her head.

Seeing Zhou Yi studying her with interest, her expression instantly shifted.

She had not noticed when he had entered.

If he had intended to attack her…

She might already be dead.

A chill ran down her spine.

This young man—his appearance was deceiving, yet his cultivation was terrifyingly profound.

"Who are you?"

Shui Yue's gaze turned icy, killing intent radiating from her.

For someone to appear in her room without a trace—this was no mere rudeness, but a blatant provocation.

Had she not been shocked by Zhou Yi's cultivation level and uncertain of his background, she would have already drawn her sword.

Zhou Yi grinned. "I am your man."

"Scoundrel! Die!"

Fury surged through Shui Yue. No one had ever dared to insult her like this. She immediately summoned her treasure, prepared to strike him down.

Before she could act, Zhou Yi was already upon her. His grip closed around her wrist with an iron-like hold, restraining her completely.

An overwhelming force pressed down on her. She was utterly powerless against it.

"Such strength!"

Shui Yue was in utter shock.

Even Dao Xuan, the head of Qingyun Sect, wouldn't have been able to subdue her this effortlessly.

Zhou Yi maneuvered her with ease, pinning her lightly against the window, her back turned toward him. He raised her delicate arms above her head, holding them in place with one hand, freeing the other.

Shui Yue's expression shifted between shock and anger. "What do you think you're doing?!"

She had never suffered such a humiliation before.

Zhou Yi chuckled softly. "Master Shui Yue, what do you think?"

Her breathing hitched.

"Scoundrel, you dare—!"

Zhou Yi whispered near her ear, "Shh… Master, you wouldn't want anyone to see you like this, would you?"

Shui Yue trembled. Her voice dropped, a mix of anger and uncertainty. "You… Do you seek enmity with Qingyun Sect?"

Zhou Yi's voice was unhurried. "Far from it. I merely wish to deepen our connection."

His actions left her with no room for resistance.

Tears welled up in Shui Yue's eyes. "You… I won't forgive you…"

For centuries, she had lived in solitude, guarding Xiaozhu Peak with an untouchable air. Now, she found herself caught in an unfathomable moment of helplessness.

She could hardly believe it.

Qingyun Sect was one of the three great pillars of righteousness in the cultivation world.

And she—Shui Yue, the esteemed leader of Xiaozhu Peak—was a renowned master known throughout the cultivation world.

Yet now, she found herself powerless before him.

"Master, there's no need for anger. This house has stood untouched for over three hundred years. I simply feared you might be feeling lonely. Consider me your first guest."

His tone was leisurely and composed, making it impossible to tell that he had just forced his way in.

Shui Yue nearly coughed up blood.

Guest?

What guest would enter uninvited like a thief?

An intruder!

An utter menace!

Yet, despite her indignation, she was helpless. She could only watch as this uninvited guest disrupted the sanctity of her home, reducing it to utter chaos.

Time passed.

As their encounter continued, something stirred deep within Shui Yue's heart—a foreign and unsettling sensation.

She found herself questioning why she wasn't consumed entirely by hatred.

"No! How could I feel this way toward this man?!"

She berated herself inwardly, biting her lip.

Just then, a gentle knock sounded at the door.

"Senior Sister!"

A warm and delicate voice called from outside.

Shui Yue's pupils shrank. Her body stiffened, and her heart leaped to her throat.

"Junior Sister? Why is she here now?!"

A wave of panic surged within her.

Zhou Yi was an exceptional figure—if discovered, his anger could be unpredictable. Worse, Su Ru's beauty rivaled, if not surpassed, her own, and carried an added allure. What if Zhou Yi was tempted by her presence?

"Did you need something, Junior Sister?" Shui Yue asked, keeping her voice steady.

"Nothing urgent, I just wanted to see you."

Su Ru had only joined the sect a year later than Shui Yue, making them not just fellow disciples but also close friends—one could say, in modern terms, best friends.

Something weighed on Su Ru's mind, but she couldn't bring herself to say it. She had come to Shui Yue instinctively, seeking solace in familiar company, though she had no intention of revealing what had transpired. Shui Yue's temper was too fiery—if she found out, things would spiral out of control.

"Junior Sister, I had an insight today and need to focus on my cultivation. Since it's nothing urgent, let's talk another day—ah!"

Before she could finish her sentence, a sudden jolt made her cry out.

"Senior Sister, what's wrong?"

Su Ru, alarmed, stepped forward. She had no idea that in the shadows, an unseen force had struck Shui Yue.

"I... I'm fine. You should leave now—mmph..."

Unable to ignore the distress in Shui Yue's voice, Su Ru pushed the door open and rushed inside. She knew Shui Yue too well—something was definitely wrong.

"You—!"

Su Ru's sharp gaze landed on Zhou Yi. She hadn't expected to see him here. He had left her side only to appear before her senior sister?

"You scoundrel! I'll fight you!"

Fury surged through her, but the vast gap in strength was insurmountable. Before she could even make a move, Zhou Yi's mere thought had restrained her.

"You two know each other?" Shui Yue's mind reeled.

"He's nothing but a villain!" Su Ru spat.

"Junior Sister... you mean, you too…?"

A heavy silence fell. Su Ru said nothing, but her lack of denial spoke volumes.

For some reason, Shui Yue felt an unexpected sense of relief.

True friendship, it seemed, meant sharing everything—even hardships.

"Junior Sister, your face…?"

Shui Yue suddenly noticed something odd. Su Ru looked younger—her complexion smoother, untouched by time.

"That would be my doing," Zhou Yi interjected, retrieving a small pill and slipping it into Shui Yue's hand. "Take this, and soon, you'll be just as youthful as her."

Shui Yue clenched her jaw, both embarrassed and enraged. But curiosity lingered. What kind of pill could reverse time itself?

"It's called the Youth Retaining Pill." Zhou Yi spoke casually, as if discussing the weather. He continued his work, drawing Su Ru close once more.

By the time the sun dipped beyond the horizon, Zhou Yi finally left, his figure vanishing into the twilight.

Elsewhere, in the quiet solitude of the mountain retreat, Lu Xueqi stirred.

"No…!"

She bolted upright, heart pounding.

Her breath came in short gasps as she glanced down at herself. Her robes were pristine, untouched. Her body felt no different—no signs of harm, no lingering pain.

"What… happened?"

She frowned, searching for any anomaly, but her skin was flawless, as if nothing had ever occurred.

Had it all been… a dream?

She vividly remembered a terrifying presence, overwhelming and inescapable. And yet, if it had been real, would her body not bear any trace of it?

Not even the most miraculous elixir could restore one so completely. A thing once broken, no matter how well repaired, could never return to its untouched state.

Could it?

"Xueqi!"

A voice called from outside, snapping Lu Xueqi from her thoughts.

She turned to see Shui Yue and Su Ru rushing toward her, expressions tense.

"Are you alright?" Shui Yue asked, scanning her carefully.

Lu Xueqi hesitated. "I… I'm fine."

Despite the lingering confusion, she couldn't deny the evidence before her—her body was unharmed, her mind clear.

Surely, she had simply lost consciousness from overexertion during cultivation. Perhaps even succumbed to an illusion.

Yes. That must be it.

Su Ru, however, observed in silence. She knew Zhou Yi's power, knew the extent of what he was capable of. And then, she saw it—the faintest trace of something on the ground. A few drops of crimson, barely visible.

Her suspicions solidified.

But she said nothing.

"Your body seems fine. You must have overworked yourself. Rest for now." Shui Yue concluded after checking her condition.

"Yes, Senior Sister."

As Lu Xueqi returned to her quarters, Shui Yue and Su Ru stood by the moonlit cliffs, the mountain winds tugging at their robes.

"Senior Sister, what do you plan to do?"

Su Ru asked.

Sigh. "That man's abilities are unfathomable. I'm afraid only Senior Brother, the Sect Master, might have a chance of dealing with him," Shui Yue said with a sigh.

"Senior Sister, when that scoundrel confronted Ling'er earlier, I was hiding behind the cabinet. But while he was restraining her, I don't even know what technique he used—before I could react, I was completely immobilized."

Thinking of Zhou Yi, Su Ru's eyes held a trace of unease. Even the Sect Master... might not be capable of such a feat!

Shui Yue recalled how effortlessly she had been defeated by Zhou Yi.

Even when facing Dao Xuan, she had been outmatched—but at least she had stood a chance, however slim.

"Then what do we do? Are we just supposed to let him do as he pleases?" Shui Yue asked coldly.

Su Ru fell silent.

The two of them were at a loss.

Meanwhile, after leaving Moonwatching Terrace and returning to her quarters, Lu Xueqi found herself unable to focus on cultivating. She lay on her bed, her mind consumed by the lingering shadows of a nightmare.

"Was it really just a dream?"

She found it hard to believe—because if it was merely a dream, then why had it felt so real?

Every moment, every sensation was vividly imprinted in her mind.

So real.

Yet, aside from the faint traces of tears at the corner of her eyes, there was no other sign that anything had happened.

Suddenly—

As she absentmindedly placed a hand on her lower abdomen, she had an odd sensation. It felt... slightly different?

Deep in thought, Lu Xueqi unknowingly drifted off to sleep.

She had no idea how long she had slept when, suddenly, she was jolted awake by a sharp pain.

Her eyes snapped open.

"You—!"

Right before her stood Zhou Yi.

Instinctively, she raised her hand and struck out with her palm.

Pa!

Zhou Yi caught her wrist effortlessly, restraining her with ease. A smirk played on his lips.

"Yes, it's me."

"What are you trying to do? What sorcery did you use?"

Lu Xueqi was trapped in confusion, unable to distinguish between dream and reality.

Had she truly woken up? Or was she still lost in an illusion of his making?

Zhou Yi's gaze flickered downward before he leaned in close, his voice carrying an unsettling calm:

"I want you to bear my child."

"What…?"

Lu Xueqi's eyes widened in shock, her mind going utterly blank.
